Pack Runners

[member="Ilanthria"]

Ekara grinned. "Signet rings were made for special groups within the jedi long ago, the jedi council has had them and some of the other circles. They use to have name day crystals you could use to heal with." Elara held one of the rings and feeling the steel in her hand slid it on her finger as it gleamed in the light. "It is heavier then I thought it would be but it is a jedi thing. We could use it for members of our pack, we'll fight and work without masters for the betterment of the order."

Gently, Ilanthria slipped the ring on her finger. It was a bit heavy. But it was a nice sight to see on her hand. A token to remind her of the Padawan Pack. This thought was strange for Ilanthria because she'd never given any sort of thought to possessions or appearances before. It was no matter. She would meditate on it later. After all, one small thought wouldn't harm her.

Elara looked at the ring on Ilanthria's finger as she smiled. Holding hers up and speaking. "See it can be like our own secret decoder rings." She gave a nod to that and pocketed the others while looking around and speaking more softly this time. "We should get moving, see if we can find whoever that was. Are you good at making a stun bolt with energy?" Elara crackled a small amount of light in her hand like static, a great way for a heart stun to knock someone out like a taser.

Ilanthria shook her head. "I am afraid not. But I can produce a few minor shockwaves. It is not much, but it can subdue others."

Elara looked at her and gave a nod of her head to that. "Alright that will have to do. We'll be fine." The padawan/apprentice moved towards the corridor and could feel the small shifting of the familiar as it turned to lock its eyes on the Diathim. She could feel the energy running across her skin as her master was exerting a small mind trick and whisper. You can do more... You know how, you have the power inside of you. Let your emotions free and shock him. No one will ever know down here. Elara felt the hairs bristle as she listened and did everything not to respond. Her master had shown her... she could do it but she wasn't going to a small flash and stun. She kept moving.

A small part of Ilanthria tugged at her mind. She could do more. A little lightning doesn't have to be lethal, after all. At a certain voltage, it would merely knock a being out of consciousness... But they would suffer! Why in the universe would she even consider putting another through such torment? She shook the idea from her mind, though some of it still lingered.

Elara was moving now and she could hear the footfalls that weren't trying to hide themselves. A small smile on her face as she moved to the side and there at the end of the hall was the one in a cloak. Elara moved rushing at him as she shouted. "Now stun him." She moved quickly sliding to kick his feet and knock him down while the sabers went to a low setting for the moment.

Ilanthria moved closely behind Elara. When Elara knocked the man down and pinned him with her sabers poised to kill, Ilanthria stood above the scene. She didn't believe in killing another without reason. Something in the back of her mind spoke to her once more. She could stun him. She knew it. She had a good idea as to how, thanks to years of research. The way Elara was staring at him, there was no doubt in her mind that the girl would end him. That was wrong. He hadn't attacked them, after all. But it was clear the girl would kill him anyway. Perhaps the best course of action would be to knock him unconscious... She bit her lip. Her mind was greatly conflicted in this moment.

Elara hesitated just a little mostly because she wanted to push this jedi into stunning the blackblade with the force, get her to use lightning to shock him. They needed to push harder and she telegraphed the move as the man burst up at them. His hand bringing out a saber as it activated and Elara was pushed back. "Ilanthria shock him" SHe was pushed against the wall and her head slammed back for a moment while she held the blade up.

After a moment of hesitation, Ilanthria focused and created her first surge of Force Lightning. She sent it at the man's back, doing her best to make it a high enough voltage to make him pass out.

Elara looked at the man as he stood mid stride and yelped convulsing on the ground and she was able to move. Seeing the lightning crackle from the jedi's hand was well worth the bruses as she moved and looked at Ilanthria. "That was helpful thanks." A small smile curved her lips and she spoke. "He'll tie him up and leave him here, he isn't going anywhere and maybe he'll talk. We don't know which of the masters if any or all could be in on this. A sith operating under their noses had to have been felt." She continued to look at the Diathim and now her smile was wider. "Who knows." She held the smile while the familiar remained there looking on speaking through the force gently. See you have the power, you have it buried within you and no one will understand. They'll seek to restrict you, send you away but Elara is your friend. She'll understand."

The words seemed to make sense. Her masters would try to tell her that repressing these dangerous thoughts would be the best course of action. But, were they truly so horrible? If given too much power, yes. But that didn't mean that they couldn't still be there, right? She didn't have to act on all of them, after all... Ilanthria partially accepted this, and nodded slightly to Elara. She was thankful that no lives had been taken.

Elara moved going forward towards the light she could see at the end, the tunnels were theirs to explore but she would have to bring back someone to get the other he was to heavy for them. She moved thinking more about what she had seen from the jedi and clipping her sabers to her belt brought her attention around. "Well do you know what we should say? If we reveal the plan to anyone but my master or I don't know do you know anyone we can trust?" It was less trust and more she didn't want to reveal the jedi had felt it, had tasted it... The darkside. Elara stopped near the entry way to the lower caves. She turned. "Can I let you in on a secret? More then I already have at least, I did what you did once. I shocked an enemy to save my master. Don't worry about it, it came naturally and it isn't like you were using it in malice right? No hatred? Hatred is the darkside not the force." A small lie, the darkside Elara knew was corruptive, it twisted everything eventually and with that ring would make it easier to feel hopefully.

"No. Though many of the Masters trust and respect me, I do not think it would be a good Idea to speak of this with them. And... Thank you, Elara. For understanding." Ilanthria said, following swiftly behind her.

Elara gave a nod of her head to that. "You got it, remember the force is ours to use and command we need to stick together and do all we can to fight back against the evils of the sith." She had a small smile on her face with it and was moving now as the familiar rested on her shoulder. She could feel her master was pleased with her as the voice remained in the back of her head. You are doing well, you are stronger... Hunt them down, find the traitor padawans.. they would corrupt you... they would seek to break the jedi order and poison you all to the sith. You are protecting people, you know the truth.. you know what needs to be done to ensure everything remains.
