Drawing a blaster rifle and ensuring it's charge was still holding, Delilah looked to see who the lucky men that were joining her would be. Initially, none came forward, but some words on behalf of Kados seemed to stir them forward. A total of six men had stepped up to the task, which was just fine with Delilah, though the fact they needed a Sith Lord to threaten them into capitulating...well, she wouldn't linger on that for long. Her gaze fell on Kados, and pondered if perhaps this display spoke ill of her leadership capabilities; she certainly hoped this wasn't so. She gave a look to Trajo and pointed towards the ship. Kados has issued his statement, but Delilah felt the need to give the orders directly; perhaps the presence of the Darth made her seek to assert her dominance.
"Captain, I want you to get our distress beacon primed. Let the Acclimation know we are here, and set up a perimeter around the ship. We need this area secure." She ordered, before taking a tally of her own men. Seeing that they were all prepared to march out, Delilah moved forward, as she issued another command. "Squad, let's move out."
Kados opted to march infront of the squad, hacking away at foliage like some young adventurer in those holo-films, though he seemed a great deal more confident with that blade in hand. The planet here did feel strange, twisted almost, yet Delilah couldn't explain what truly was unfolding here; Delilah had no touch with the force after all. Kados suggested something of an outside force working against them, something that Delilah didn't quite understand.
"Do you have an inkling of who might have done this sir?" She asked, stepping aside the smoldering plant life that was torn down before the pair.
The pair finally reached the outside of the outpost, only to find it covered in vines and plant life. Delilah was going to order breaching charges to be placed on the door, but the Sith had her beat, as he jammed his saber into the wall and began to carve a door for the pair. Ordering the squad to keep an eye out for anything intrusive, Delilah waited for Kados to finish his cutting, though she was a tad surprised he motioned for her to move inside first.
"Of course sir." She commented, as she raised her weapon and approached inside, using the night vision of her helmet to see into the darkened area.
"Squad, move in, look for survivors. Darth Kados and myself are moving to secure the transmission room." Delilah swept the first room, as her men came up the rear and paired off, moving to search the other rooms, while the captain moved towards the transmission room. The facility was abandoned, though blood smears and plant matter was scattered about at random here. There were shows of carbon scoring around the facility, but no bodies to be discovered.
"I see zero contacts, but signs of a struggle are evident." She noted, speaking to Kados once he drew near. Reaching the transmission room, Delilah took to the console and began to unlock it, though she couldn't help but notice that she could smell the old blood through her helmet filters. It was splattered around the room and controls, but oddly none of the equipment here was damaged. Once she had logged in, she went back through the logs, showing a display of a holographic officer delivering his reports. It was all rather mundane, save for the last message, which saw this same officer battered and bleeding, speaking in broken basic before being swarmed by several humanoid creatures. Their bodies appeared deformed, almost twisted and covered in twigs and leaves, but at the ends of their fingers laid bony digits that were expertly used to carve the man to pieces. Delilah winced, and though she had seen such imagery before, she closed the message off once she had seen enough.
"Well, looks like we found the source of the problem sir." She commented, as she began to download the data off the console and opened up a channel to Captain Trajo.
"Captain, we are at the outpost. What is your status?" She asked, expecting to hear a quick reply within a few seconds, but this time she received only static.
"Captain, report." She repeated, as Delilah paused at the terminal, straightening up as she turned towards Kados, concern stretching across her face under the helmet.
"Sir, I can't get ahold of the crash site team." Delilah spoke, removing her helmet now, as she attempted to find the emergency become on the transmission channels. To Delilah's surprise, nothing showed up. Which meant the beacon was never put up, or worse, was being interfered with.
"According to the sensors here, they never got the beacon set up. Troubling." The sound of static still poured in from Delilahs helmet, as her men began to chime in with info on the facility. It seemed that they had missed out on some sort of battle, though what exactly unfolded here...that wasn't for her to deduce right now. Coming to her full height, Delilah looked to Kados and began to speak.
"We have a few options to consider, neither of which are pleasant. Our men at the site could be under attack by these intruders, or some unlikely coincidence has unfolded upon them in the last hour since we departed. Either way, these interfere with our current mission. What would you advise sir?" Delilah asked, knowing full well what she sought to do, but given Kados was her superior, it was needed to have his permission before acting on her own.
