DESCRIPTION
After twenty years of hard, seemingly endless work, Rick Kaloo, the company's CEO, finally transcended Ne-Cal Military Engineering into Outer Rim Military Engineering.

From Outer Rim's beginnings as Ne-Cal Military Space Engineering, it experienced a massive, uninterrupted string of successes made possible due to each individual contribution provided by the staff of Ne-Cal. After winning a new headquarters in the lottery, Ne-Cal's capabilities expanded even further. Its Essex-class starfighter killer became its biggest success to date, praised for its originality and flexibility. A myriad of corvette and frigate class vessels followed in the wake of the Essex, each one unique and powerful. Weapons for the developing chain of Ne-Cal ships were designed on a massive scale, anti-aircraft guns and turbolasers joining warships in the factories.

Fifteen years after Ne-Cal's founding, it became Ne-Cal Military Engineering, dropping the Space as ground vehicles began production. Its turbolasers were adapted to fit tanks and fortresses, while dedicated ground vehicles supported the infantry on the frontlines. In the meantime, Ne-Cal's warships became smaller, starfighters of varying purposes being produced, while at the same time larger, with cruiser-class vessels appearing in Ne-Cal's fleets.

Finally, on Ne-Cal's twenty year anniversary, Rick Kaloo announced the company's renaming. With thousands of employees across multiple systems and nearly two dozen commonly produced products, Ne-Cal now had the right to be called Outer Rim Military Engineering.

After the renaming, and even in the years before, the Outer Rim Engineering stocks hit their golden age. Star Destroyers, battlecruisers, and even a rumored dreadnought design began to appear in ORME records, with turbolasers the size of frigates entering production. Legions of powerful robot walkers were assembled, accompanied by smaller counterparts with lethal blades.

Outer Rim Military Engineering was well on its way to becoming one of the largest companies in the galaxy.

RATIONALE

When Rick was twenty and left college, he founded Ne-Cal on his homeworld of Mon Calamari. At first, the company received financial support from Rick's parents and friends. In fact, Ne-Cal's first employees were Rick's classmates from college. However, once the company got up and hit the ground running, the support was no longer necessary. Rick's classmates still stayed in his company, taking senior positions as time passed. As the company grew, they were joined by hundreds of other employees, from humans to Wookiees, looking for jobs in shipwright. Ne-Cal maintained its reputation as an equal-opportunity employer, never showing racism, sexism, or any form of discrimination toward its workers.

By the time Ne-Cal was renamed, it had millions of employees in over three dozen locations, and an extremely clean record.

But tragedy struck when the Sith Empire invaded Mon Calamari. The Pickle Rick project was barely saved, and Rick was forced to annihilate his company's former headquarters to deny the Sith a major production facility.

Afterwards, Rick, with the support of a huge amount of Mon Calamari refugees, settled a new planet and established it as the new headquarters of his company. To avoid another disastrous invasion, the planet was heavily fortified and had powerful communications networks to call in allied powers.

The company began to regroup, expanding its assets once again. The Outer Rim Charity Orginization was founded to provide help for people in need, and Outer Rim continued to establish a well-secured foothold in the galaxy.
