ORCO Motto: For Unbiased Peace and Progression

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
CORPORATION INFORMATION
  • Corporation Name: Outer Rim Charity Organization (ORCO)
  • Headquarters: Oraim Mei, Tower One
  • Locations: Temporary and permanent refuge camps in areas of war or poverty
  • Operations: Charity work, including, but not limited to; housing refugees, providing healthcare, supporting communities, associating with other charities
DESCRIPTION

The Outer Rim Charity Organization was founded as the galaxy fell deeper and deeper into war. With the Galactic Alliance wiped out, oppressive empires had more freedom than ever to terrorize the galaxy. In their wake, destruction and tyranny filled millions of worlds.

The ORCO was created to counter such tyranny. Operating under diplomatic neutrality, the organization sends ships filled to the brim with essential supplies and professionals into oppressed worlds. ORCO personnel are among the bravest in the Outer Rim company family, as they constantly run the threat of being annihilated by ruthless enemy warlords. However, they run those risks, knowing that their sacrifice will save countless numbers of civilians.

The ORCO's symbol is a rainbow, a much brighter and cheerier version of ORME's rings.

RATIONALE

Outer Rim Charity Organization's parent company, Outer Rim Military Engineering, was just recovering from the invasion of Mon Calamari, where it had lost its corporate headquarters. After fortifying Oraim Mei, ORME founder Rick Kaloo began to realize the next course his company would have to take.

Large enough to become a corporate state if it willed itself to be, ORME had a significant influence throughout the galaxy. Rick decided to keep his company's original goal and keep Outer Rim's influence for progression and peace. To further enforce those goals, Rick finally decided to create a charity organization.

ORCO shares a portion of Tower One with ORME, where they are both headquartered. ORME provides ORCO with vessels, and gave it its first large batch of personnel. Additionally, 5% of all credits from ORME purchases go to ORCO. However, ORCO's larger operations are non-profit, and often require voulenteer employees.

Unlike ORME's oligarchical executive group, ORCO is run by a democratically elected CEO who is assisted by a small group of lesser executives. The current CEO is Rick Kaloo, however, another election will begin in two years.
