Out of the Frying Pan

The search for [member="Tugoro Taidarious"] was still ongoing, and Skrik had just been loosed from detainment on Feriae Junction after an altercation with a couple of Silver Knights. Word on Dathomir was that a Jedi was hanging around, possibly digging up graves or searching in tombs--some type of treasure hunting excursion. Whatever. Hopefully it was Tugoro, but she would easily be just as happy if she ended up slaying any other Jedi type by the end of the day. She was not picky. They all needed to be expunged from the galaxy.

Jedi do not fall easily. Knowing this all too well, The Forcebreaker had brought along her entire arsenal for the job. The most tedious part, however, was usually the search. The people around the spaceport had pointed her in a general direction, but she needed to scout things out a little further with the locals before she could pinpoint the Force user's location. Or he could just fall into her lap. That would be convenient.

Pale white and with a flaming blond wisp of hair, the human-Rattataki woman was not difficult to miss. But to the trained eye, neither were Jedi...

Vulpesen kept a grip on his sabers as he wandered the dark surface of Dathomir. On another routine mission, Vulpesen was simply after one of the night witch leaders, hopefully to cut down influence to help out the far less evil witches. Of course, such a high ranking clan woman would be kept hidden behind the ranks of others and Vulpesen had to be prepared to fight. Now, wandering through the wilderness his one companion was Ace. Cut off from his ships, reinforcements would take far too long to be useful, making him for the most part, on his own when it came to combat.

Skrik was well aware that the Nightsisters were Force-endowed, just like her quarry. However, it was not a good time to attempt to slaughter their like--not because she was not in the mood for it, but because of common sense. The Force user assassin was greatly outnumbered by her enemies in these parts.

Conveniently, The Forcebreaker found that her Rattataki composition helped her blend in quite well with the natives, and she had no difficult time questioning some of the villagers on the whereabouts of the Jedi. Most of them had no idea what she was speaking of, but some directed her into the forest, telling of an offworlder with a strange dog at his side. Her employer had never informed her that Tugoro owned a canine, but she did not care. He may have bought it for protection recently. Either way, the man the Dathomiri were describing was not exactly a normal type to be found on this planet.

Trudging through the woods, Piper gripped a vibroblade in one hand and the hilt of the shoto lightsaber that had been given to her by her employer. On occasion, she would come across a pair of tracks--one humanoid, and one beast. She must be getting close now.

Vulpesen let out a small yawn and turned to Ace who had jumped onto his shoulder quite some time ago. Canine, yes. Protection? Not really. Ace had been Vulpesen's constant companion fore around five years now and ever since they had met the wolf had remained at the same Ashlan height average. Six inches tall. "I think we've earned a small break. We should be coming up on that woman's hut soon so for now, we can just relax." The wolf nodded and slipped into a pocket in Vulpesen's armor as he rested against a tree.

Skrik had always debated with herself whether the long flare of her fiery blond hair she maintained was for the best in regards to taking down opponents. On the one hand, it made her look ever the more fierce, its blazing strings wildly lashing about above her otherwise bald head as she made her movements and struck her blows. But on the other hand, it was something a quick-handed enemy could possibly catch hold of. Or it was just so bright and obvious that it offset much of her stealthy stalking. She had thus far decided that in her line of work, intimidation outweighed those minor details.

That was also why she decided to act immediately after coming upon the relaxing, armored figure in the middle of the woods. Without a moment of hesitation, she slung the first of her vibroblades at the Jedi's head and drew her stun gun. "Eradication!" she screeched. He would fall today.
