Intent: To develop a synthetic substitute almost as capable as real bone.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Emeritus Industries
Model: Osseoceramic
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: Yes(density)
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Calcium-based ceramic material
Description: Osseoceramic is designed as a bone substitute, for use in the medical field when bones are too broken to be left in the body after surgery, and as a safer alternative to using metal rods or other crude means of providing support where the bone is broken. On the plus side, most scanners will recognize it as bone, and its density can be varied during creation to produce artificial bones that are lighter or heavier(as well as weaker or stronger) than natural bones themselves. However, these artificial bones contain no marrow, and as such may weaken an individual's immune system if installed. However, they are far less likely to be rejected, being made of a calcium ceramic, than comparable false bones. Osseoceramic is also useful for the creation of hyperrealistic skeletons for use in medical laboratories, when the cost of purchasing an actual skeleton may be too high.

Right now the company does not have this (prostheses) covered by its operations, unless this would fall under independent research and development, which should not permit full-scale mass production unless it is covered by one of its other operations. You can either lower production to limited or semi-unique, the former with a ten post development, or work to have that operation added to the company. If you choose the latter please let me know and I will have this archived until that point in time.
