"Aeten II, while not the most hospitable of worlds, a necessary one for the One Sith" - Ferus.
Mission Objectives: (OOC Thread)- Conquer the Facility
- Sabotage the Corperation
- Strengthen Political Ties.
Aeten II worked as it always had, hard, and in the gruelling volcanic heat of the planets many refineries and smithies. Molten metal stripped from the magma as trenches dug through several of the planets known settlements like rivers. Thermal power here was lord, as well as the booming stygium trade from the rare material found within the mines scattered across the planet's surface. Monopolized by few key companies across the planet, neutral, a family who go by the name of Laplass owning almost 78% of the planets mining being the most valuable, their corporation of the same name easily square amongst the planets top tier businesses, each of the many members going about their daily lives, each of them had secrets which could be exploited, affairs, shady business dealings, laundering among them. none of them to know that they would soon become targets by a greater power looming to the galactic west...
Meanwhile in a distant location, a single refinary stood tall against a live volcano, the security posted around it was tight, men walked in patrols, no man not in visual sight of at least two others in a sort of visual chain which expanded across the entire facility. Droideka in booths on standby in groups of 3, waiting for a moments notice for a man to slam a switch and activate them on a whim. Equipped with blasters and duraplast light armour, each of the men were an average soldier. little compared to the valiant clones of the likes of the 501st, but more than capable of holding their own in close combat and as a marksman. Blaster rifles and vibro-knives at their sides they meandered around. Ion weaponry aimed towards the skies on several high towers lining the facility and at the sites only landing pad. A veritable fortress.... though not impenetrable.
Lastly, the planets government had recently been in a meeting discussing the expansion of the capitol city and the prices which had been steadily on the rise when it came to construction and the materials available to them. Though far from a crisis, each of them seemed to have tired expressions on their faces as yet again there had been little progress on the matter, expansion over the course of the decade was meant to increase the mass of the city and production by 11%, but so far had only just managed to make 3% over a third of the allotted time frame. Each of the weary politicians, taking notes from the debates and moving to their respective chambers in the political sector of the city to renew themselves as well as amend their policies in any way they could for the following encounter...
