PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Orla possesses a striking appearance that makes her instantly recognizable to viewers of Holonet broadcasts throughout the Outer Rim and former Imperial territories. Her deep auburn hair falls to her shoulders in loose waves when not tied back for field work. Green-gray eyes and a scattering of freckles across her cheeks soften otherwise sharp features. A faint scar cuts through her right eyebrow, a souvenir from covering unrest on a frontier world years earlier.
Unlike politicians and aristocrats, Orla favors practical elegance over ceremonial fashion. Long coats, fitted jackets, sturdy boots, utility satchels, and tailored frontier attire dominate her wardrobe. She is rarely seen without a datapad, recorder, or commlink within easy reach. Though she cleans up well for interviews with senators and planetary leaders, she always looks more comfortable in the field than in a ballroom.

HISTORY
Orla Soren was born on Raxus Secundus to a family of academics, policy researchers, and educators. Raised in an environment where politics was discussed as naturally as weather, she developed an early fascination with governance, history, and the relationship between power and accountability.
Her academic talents eventually earned her admission to several prestigious institutions, including a student exchange program on Alderaan. During her studies there, she met a young noblewoman named Aurelia Pantilles.
The two could not have come from more different backgrounds.
Orla was the outspoken daughter of academics from Raxus. Aurelia was a member of one of Alderaan's noble houses. What began as classroom arguments over political theory gradually developed into a lasting friendship built on mutual respect and shared values.
Following graduation, Orla returned to Raxus Secundus and entered journalism. Her willingness to challenge powerful figures regardless of ideology quickly earned her attention. Over time she became a respected investigative reporter, political commentator, and author.
Seeking to create something larger than a media career, Orla founded the Frontier Institute on Raxus Secundus. The organization researches governance, political reform, anti-corruption measures, and civic development throughout frontier and post-Imperial systems. Through the Institute and her widely viewed Holonet program, Frontier Voices, Orla has become one of the most influential advocates for democratic institutions in the region.
Though frequently associated with reform movements and emerging democracies, Orla remains fiercely independent. Publicly, she and Aurelia Pantilles are merely longtime friends and occasional collaborators. Privately, both women recognize they are fighting the same battle through different means.
Aurelia seeks to build a better future through politics.
Orla seeks to make sure that future remains accountable once it arrives.
