Origin of the Mandalorians

Evasion Studios
We all remember the once aired Star Wars Holiday Special, and the epic failure that it was.

Here's something you may not know about what it produced. During an interview with George Lucas, as he discussed how he came about putting certain characters into the movies - he focused on Boba Fett. Boba Fett's first appearance in anything Star Wars was in the Holiday Special, as a cartoon where he aided Luke Skywalker. Lucas is on record saying that he was so taken with the character that he decided to put him into the Empire Strikes Back.

So from the Holiday Special, the true roots of the Mandalorian culture comes. At least it did one thing right.

Grand Admiral, First Order Central Command
Anyone else remeber when the Clone Wars were Republic vs. Clone Mandos, and Boba Fett wasn't some prodigy clone child?

I always preferred that backstory. Lucas altering that was my biggest beef with the prequels for the longest time.
