Major Locations:

* Starship Graveyard
Millenia ago during the Galactic War, Republic and Imperial vessels alike waged war over the Dread Moon of Oricon in a bid to defeat each other and the Dread Masters who separated from the Sith Empire in a bid to dominate the galaxy. During this conflict, known as the Dread War, both sides suffered heavily casualties in their bid to combat the forces of the Dread Masters resulting in the orbital field of debris and starship graveyard on the surface of the planet from the ships who plunged into the atmosphere.

* Colony of Lithins
Four decades ago the ancient Dicidius Legacy, a bloodline of Sith stretching back to the days of the Resurgent Sith Empire, came to Oricon in hopes of delving into the ruins of the Dread Fortress in search of forbidden knowledge. A few miles away the colony of Lithins was formed as a settlement for the Dicidius and the various slaves they brought with them. At first the colony thrived until rule of Oricon came under the iron fist of Vicar Dicidius, otherwise known as Lord Havok. Seven years ago, the colony was wiped out by Lord Havok's future apprentice Sovereign in order to prove himself to the Sith Lord. No slave or member of the Dicidius Legacy survived the attack, it is now abandoned and slowly falling into disrepair. Overlooking the village is a mountainous cliffside which holds the stronghold of Lord Havok himself, serving as a training ground and retreat for the Sith Lord.

* The Dread Fortresshttp://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LEaU8qYay1Y/VA6YVlehV_I/AAAAAAAAEYA/Q0bRv-T9M6A/s1600/SWTOR-Dead-Fort.jpg
The Dread Fortress is the Bastion of the Dread Masters, the site of the final battle of the conflict known as the Dread War. Once the home of the infamous Phobis Devices, they have long since been removed and destroyed however their evil taint still lingers in this unholy lair leaving behind a Dark Side Nexus in it's place. Past the courtyard lies the tallest spire known as the Dread Palace which holds the Dread Throne inside, a twisted mockery of the Sith Empire's throne on Dromund Kaas from millennia ago.

* Ruins of Darth Vitus's Compound
Rubble and broken walls of the former compound of Darth Vitus formed before the Mandalorian Wars, this place once served as the headquarters of the mad Sith Alchemist who created several different monstrosities that eventually called Oricon home before they died out centuries later. During the time of the Dread Masters these ruins served as a staging ground for their terraforming projects on the moon itself.

Culture: For over millennia the Sith have dominated the moon in various forms from Darth Vitus to the Dread Masters, most themes of Oricon depict skeletal figures and Sith artwork inspiring feelings of dread and death wherever you go. Only in the most recent settling of Oricon has there been a relatively small population that had diversified views under the Dark Side Theocracy run by Lord Havok as the patriarch of the Dicidius Legacy.

The slaves, not belonging to the Sith Order, held their own views from their respective homeworlds and believed in freedom where the rest of the settlement adopted the long time notion of xenophobia and Imperial Pride that came with being a member of the Dicidus Legacy, one of the last bloodlines from the Resurgent Sith Empire.

Technology: Aside from the stronghold of Lord Havok and the abandoned colony of Lithins, the majority of any technology on the planet is of the Old Republic era making them virtually out of date and in total disrepair being thousands of years old. Any technology on par with the rest of the galaxy would be housed in the empty colony of Lithins or the stronghold of Lord Havok himself.
History: Thousands of years ago, before the event known as the Mandalorian Wars, a Sith Lord known as Darth Vitus came to Oricon in order to hone his abilities in Sith Alchemy and create vile beasts strong with the Dark Side of the Force. His compound would serve to draw future generations of Sith to the planet in search of forbidden knowledge and power. One such case was the arrival of Sith during the Great Sith War who rediscovered the location of Darth Vitus's long abandoned compound after following the trail left by his holocron.

Later when the Sith Empire remerged from the Seat of the Empire, they started the Great Galactic War against the Republic and subsequently formed a ceasefire only to wage war again in the form of the Galactic War which paved the way for the Dread Masters' betrayal of the Sith Empire in favor of their own bid for power. Oricon became the new seat of power for the Dread Masters who were drawn to the moon by the Dark Side energies left behind from the time of Darth Vitus. Creating the Dread Host and reclaiming the mysterious Phobis Devices, the Dread Masters had all they needed to bring terror to the galaxy. Over the short time they ruled Oricon they began terraforming operations and setting up a large fortress to embody the feeling of utter fear and horror, the Dread Fortress.

During the conflict known as the Dread War, a conflict held during the Galactic War, the Republic and Sith Empire suffered heavy losses as their ships were torn apart by the power of the Dread Masters and their Phobis Devices. The resulting wreckage either lingered in orbit or fell down onto the planet surface where a massive graveyard was formed out of the debris of the starships who were unfortunate enough to face the wrath of the Dread Masters. Eventually the Lords of Oricon met their end at the hands of a strike team only for their world to fall into disrepair and their artifacts, the Phobis Devices, taken from their home to remote locations throughout the galaxy. The beasts that were created by the alchemical experiments of the Dread Masters subsequently devoured each other over the generations until the planet was lifeless once more aside from the foreign fauna that grew in certain areas due to terraforming efforts.

After being abandoned for thousands the Dicidius Legacy arrived onto Oricon in hopes of establishing a new home and in secret gather darkside artifacts for the service of their Sith Lord patriarch. The colony of Lithins was founded by the Dicidius and their various slaves for this purpose as they searched the ruins of Dread Fortress and force their slaves to mine for various ores to make profit from their pain. This all changed upon Lord Havok's ascension to the mantle of patriarch, cancelling all mining operations and limited slave trade to Oricon, nearly all contact was severed with the small colony of Lithins with only Lord Havok's agents arriving and departing as they pleased. Several years later the nephew of Lord Havok, Sovereign, would slaughter the entirety of the colony in an attempt to prove himself to Lord Havok leaving only Havok's Stronghold as the last inhabited building on the Dread Moon.

Notable PCs: Darth Sovereign
Intent: To bring in the infamous world from SWTOR into Chaos for use by the Sith and bring Sovereign's homeworld into the fold of events.

This is from the 'Legends' community due to it's origin in the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO, definitely not my own as sited from the lovely Wookieepedia and swtor.wikia in my links above and in my intent area where I mentioned bringing it in from SWTOR. The only thing that varies from the actual canon articles is my extended history which details the arrival of the Dicidius Legacy and the formation of a colony on Oricon known as Lithins.

I wasn't sure whether I had to submit the planet or not since the moon is canon in the 'Legends' community but not on our galaxy map.

You could have went to the Map Updates Thread and requested a canon planet be added to the map. However, you did add in some history that is not official canon, so putting this in for submission didn't hurt at all. Just know in the future if you wish to add a canon planet and not change the history you don't have to create a sub for it.
