3: Ray and particle shield generators to defend the station.

Weaknesses:
1: Has to drop shields when firing.

2: Can not dodge or maneuver out of the way of attacks.

3: Low crew and marine count, once boarded it's easy to take over.

Description: With the war still raging against the Techno Union the Rebellion needed a way to secure the front lines of the galactic map and their most valuable industrial world, Geonosis. So the Orbital Defense Station was brought into the fold. A smaller station that consists of a two hundred meter ring attached to a hyper velocity gun the station consists of four main areas that will be gone over in length.

The Ring: The ring attached to the HVG is what connects the pieces together. On the ring you will find the point defense cannon gunner stations that encircle the facility to protect against incoming threats. But what is the most important feature on the ring are the two docking bays and escape pods. These allow the station to get resupplied by freighters, and these are in no way shape or form a hanger. They can attach most light freighters and can hold up to two of them. The ring basically serves as the stations defenses and resupply docks.

Living area: Where everybody lives. This section is located on the south section of the station and consists of one building that has about three floors. On the top floor you have the barracks where the crew all lives in two large squad bays that are separated by marines and crew. On the floor beneath that is the mess hall, nothing fancy or anything of the sort just a standard place where food is served for the troops and crew onboard. Beneath that is the storage area and armory where weapons and supplies are kept, this again is standard and nothing special about it. Supplies are kept in a warehouse type area while weapons and armor are kept behind blast doors that require a numerical combination.

Main gun facility: Where all the magic happens this is where everything involving the HVG goes down. Literally built around the HVG the the consists of a few different sections. First off being the command center, this is the area where the big wigs sit and have control over the entire facility. It's nothing special and is a basic command center for the facility, it's located on the top floor of the building. The second floor is where the ammo is housed for the gun, another large warehouse area where the munitions are kept for the weapon. And the final floor beneath that is where the gun is loaded and where the targeting system is. Crews work here during combat to load and fire the main gun.

The station uses a standard HVG gun that it traditionally mounted on a capital ship. This means it shares the same weaknesses, when firing the shields have to drop but that's not all that happens. Since it is a capital gun on such a small station it needs to take energy from other systems such as the lights and even the gravity generator. This mean that when firing all crew are required to activate magnetic boots so they do not float around. Afterwards it takes a good thirty seconds for the gun to restore power to the other systems and letting the shields come back online. This leaves the station vulnerable to attack in the mean time.

But the station itself is very basic and decently powerful capable of hitting capital ships hard with the massive slugs. They have to be tugged through hyperspace to get to other planets as they lack a propulsion system but once they are installed they are great for planetary defense.

Crew Count:
50: Engineers, and operators
50: Rebel Marines
Consumables: 2 months

Manufacturer: Rebel Alliance Geonosis Shipyards
I have no problem with the faction producing this, but by adding the 'Geonosis Shipyards' portion to the manufacturer I would like to ask if either that is a company or if there has been a thread done or a location submission made for shipyards. If none of these are the case, please remove the noted portion of the manufacturer line.
