Description: The Orar-class is the upscaled version of MandalTech's Cabur-class gunship. However, there are two major differences from its progenitor: one, it is twice the size in every dimension. Two, it is considerably better-armed than its base cousin, though uses a very similar setup of weaponry. Not by much, but certainly a noticeable improvement. Certainly a heavy gunship in the true tradition of beskar-clad warriors, this ship is designed for war.
Its primary strength lies in the fact that it is indeed a heavy gunship. Designed to get from point A to point B with minimal damage and destroy everything it can along the way, the Orar has strong shields and a reinforced hull to do just that - and even a single tractor beam to catch small starfighters. However, as you can't have everything, its speed is average for a ship of its class. Not notably fast (or slow, to be fair), the Orar isn't going to be the first choice for a speedy getaway or running an Imperial blockade. To be fair, the Orar is designed to burst through a blockade and survive the hits, rather than to evade fire and dance its way through space. Compared to most gunships, this thing is an absolute tank.
While its armaments are great and its speed average, its utility beyond this is highly lacklustre. Given that it is most of the standard 'gunships' have carrying capacity in some form, the Orar is rather spartan and with almost no passenger capacity - it is not designed for living in beyond the crew's quarters and two months of consumables in an emergency, and can carry no more than ten passengers on bucket seats. Ultimately, what it drops off is one squad of Mandalorian warriors, their personal gear, and then leaves to provide covering fire and support, as well as engage targets in space. Compared to many vessels of this size which in many cases could carry up to fifty passengers, a meagre ten is paltry in comparison. With a crew of three - one pilot, one co-pilot, one gunner and one astromech droid (an M1 provided by MandalTech, no less) it is designed to be small, compact, hit hard and keep going.
