Operation Valiens [TE raid of Ryloth]

databank_ryloth_01_169_02c0f2c0.jpeg

Faced with the might of the Iron Empire, the Pentastar Alignment withdrew in all haste from Csilla. As a result, the Pentastar Alignment has taken control of Ryloth, despite the fact that the Pentastar Alignment had to move across the galaxy to get there. While on Ryloth, the Pentastar Alignment has supported a number of forces opposed to slaver rings, and, since the threat is deep-rooted, the local authorities called upon the Techno Empire for help. Since the Techno Union of old declared slavery to be forbidden, the Techno Empire began to muster its forces in preparation for its liberation, promising the Twi'leks protection against slavery and other criminal threats, using droid security forces. Rumors are that the Rogue One Sith have also been seen aiding the slavers. Will the Techno Empire successfully drive the slavers from the world?

Objectives:

1. (Ground combat) The Pentastar Alignment's forces, while engaging slavers across the planet, found themselves stretched a little thin. The droid army has been deployed on Ryloth to wipe out the slavers operating on the planet, as well as their Rogue One Sith allies, and free any slaves found in their possession.

2. (Space combat) The slavers called for pirate reinforcements, alongside the remains from the Rogue One Sith. Since the Pentastar Alignment cannot cover the system, the Techno Empire has to step in and engage the pirate fleet.

3. (Diplomacy) The Pentastar Alignment supports a local Twi'lek delegation making an attempt to meet with Techno Empire officials for terms pertaining to the presence of the Techno Empire on their planet.

4. (Technology) The local authorities have authorized the Techno Empire to deploy experimental weapons against the slavers and their Rogue One Sith allies so long as damage to the local populations is kept to a minimum.

5. Bring-your-own

Aboard the Skyfall
Forces:
Objective: Apparently not able to deal with a certain fleet that thinks it can appear.
Solan Charr was unhappy. Not because the slavers were easy to get rid of, but because someone thought that he had been doing a bad job of cleaning them up. The man who spent his career and light wiping out slaver cells and liberating planets from Sith. He had done this nearly a dozen times over and when he heard that the Techno Uni- Empire was defacing his name by saying he ran scared from the Iron Empire, a group of old allies in it as well as some good friends...
Oh, you silly silly Techno fools.
First of all, The Collective was no fleetless force. In fact most of their fleet was upgraded and improved with ships from Solan's own fleet around Kesh, as well as Hoersh Kessel Designs, and his own unique and rather powerful if he might say so himself designs. The fleet he had brought with him was the First Expeditionary force, a fleet consisting of his flagship and several other frigates and cruisers, including four Hapan Battle Dragons, five Karakter Pocket Carriers, and several other notable ships.
As for his land forces, stretched thin?
He himself largely used a Droid force, but in addition to this he had purposely set himself up with the Twileks he used to help and talk to during his days in the CIS. And after that during his days with the Rebel Alliance. He was not without allies on this planet, in fact he had far more allies here than in most places in the galaxy. And after he started providing them with weapons during his rather slow assault few months before, well from there it was a rather steady growth. One that the Techno Empire was now interrupting. He had chosen not to occupy the planet because it was the Twilek's planet, keeping his forces off the planet unless they were expressly needed.
And what happens when you appear and drop an army on a planet that long since got rid of their enemy. Well what happens is they start to worry that this is an invasion, something the Techno Empire didn't quite realize when they just randomly shot out of hyperspace with a force, ready to raid the planet for anything that helped them.
And Rogue One Sith? Solan had been there for months, there was no Sith here unless they meant himself.
With that he sent an SOS out to a few particular people who might decide to give him a hand, those including [member="Darth Ignus"], [member="Aedan Miles"], [member="Horus"], [member="HK-36"], [member="Isley Verd"], and those shmucks from the Silver Jedi like [member="Joza Perl"]. Of course, he would not fire the first shot, but it paid to be prepared when someone appeared over a world you were protecting with a force of their own, trying to 'clean up' your work.
Only then did he send a message to that certain someone.
"Techno Empire Fleet. Welcome to Ryloth, liberated by The Collective and now under my protection to reestablish their economy and autonomy. I suggest you turn around and Kark off. Thank you very much for listening."
All in all, the Techno Empire stepped into the wrong world, with the wrong kind of greeting prepared.

"That's a lot more fleet than we hoped for"

"It's no good: our intelligence is not simply incorrect, it is faulty"

"We're being hailed"

"On screen"

"Techno Empire Fleet. Welcome to Ryloth, liberated by The Collective and now under my protection to reestablish their economy and autonomy. I suggest you turn around and Kark off. Thank you very much for listening."

"It appears our intelligence was, well, faulty. For the time being, we must hold your fire, too, we must attempt negotiations first. Perhaps there is some way to avoid unnecessary bloodshed. If there are still slavers or Rogue One Sith in this place, after what happened on Agamar, we should work together provided there actually are some in the first place"

Drat... the entire expedition was compromised; it's not the first time an enemy may have given faulty intelligence in an attempt to confuse them. Yet Jessica was onboard the bridge of some Munificent-X, and she knew that even a Munificent-X couldn't stand up to a Hellfire. Or has the intel the Pentastar Alignment themselves gathered been just as faulty as the intel that the TE got? Now the entire Pentastar Alignment fleet was facing them. Jessica in her Munificent-X, with weapons depowered, shields lowered. She'd want to defuse the situation first.

Solan raised a brow.

Slavers? It had been months since his little rebellion, if there were still slavers around it was news to him. As for the whole Rogue Sith elements, well that one might be a bit true considering his connections to Darth Ignus, people probably mistook that little connection as a Sith setting up here which would make things really awkward once the man arrived with a portion of his ships that he had let the Ashla have until they could get their own line of ships out...

On that note, he needed to push the production of those frigates he had proposed earlier last month.

Anyways, his eyes returned to the viewscreen with a raised brow still on his face.

"Ill give you fair warning, i have already sent out an SOS. I apologize but i don't think that Ryloth is exactly looking forwards to an Imperialistic government regulating their planet and impeding the sovereignty that they bled for once more. Now I would be glad to talk with you about how quickly your people might withdraw, but i can promise you that those below see no reason to welcome you... in truth, I am only their shield, i have no say in their government below... only tasked with keeping unsavory elements away. Like these fabricated Slavers and Sith that you are so keen to say are here."

Surron
Central Command

"Sir?"

Leos turned his attention to the young lieutenant that had asked for his attention.

"Yes? What is it, Lieutenant?"

"We just received a priority message from Master Charr that Ryloth is under attack by someone called the Techno Empire. He's requesting assistance from anyone that will help."

As far as he knew, he'd never even heard of anyone called the Techno Empire. Why they would be attacking Ryloth was a mystery that couldn't be answered without more information on who these people were. It also brought up the question of why Solan cared about the world enough to be there and intend to intervene in an invasion by another galactic government. But, these were questions that he could really ask later on. A call for help was a call for help, and here was a government overstepping its bounds and attacking a planet that they had no business attacking. Might as well do something about it.

"I'm heading up to the New Genesis to mobilize an assault force. We'll head for Ryloth immediately. Please notify Teynara of these events and direct all inquiries to her in Solan and I's absence."

"Yes, sir."

Leos left the command center to head up to the New Genesis via RAL once there, he picked three support vessels, enough to complete a makeshift strike force. Wasn't pretty, but they couldn't spare a lot. The Hellfire itself was on loan from Solan's Kesh forces. They'd be returned once the first crop of their proposed Dreadnoughts was completed by Ignus in the shipyards that had just been completed above Surron. Either way, once he was set and the coordinates for the first of the series of jumps that would be needed to reach Ryloth were in, they made the jump. Of course they sent a message ahead letting Solan know they were coming, and a relayed message for him to send to this Techno Empire.

Message to Techno Empire:
Members of the Techno Empire,

The Reformation has learned of your fleets arrival at the friendly world of Ryloth. You will vacate their space immediately, or we will deploy fleet and, if necessary, ground forces in effort to assist them in stopping your advances. This is your only warning.

So sayeth the Triad

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Solan Charr"],

Solan's distress signal would be replied with a holo-com transmission from HK, the blue light would spark up to show image of the droid, clad in his Vanguard phrik armor somewhat concealed underneath a brown worn leather duster, on the ground, against a table, with a magnetic revolver raised in one of his hands, the other was sideways in front of him as he was conducting the transmission, still he was holding another magnetic revolver in that hand as well,

"Solan!"

The machine begun as a shot rung out taking chunk from the rim of the table HK was using as his improvised cover, the machine looked aside slightly to scan the source of the shot with one of his photoreceptors,

"I know I am the best, but there are other bounty hunters in this Galaxy, and I am slightly held up over here."

The machine reached out with his revolver, returning a couple of silent shots out somewhere beyond the hologram, after all shatterguns fired silently, only whirring of his revolver's chamber heard, before he ducked against and a hail of blaster clashed against the table's hard surface,

"What can you tell me about those Techno Union sods anyway?"

The droid realized something then as his head tilted up, watching something beyond what the holo-transmission was showing and he raised his revolver, taking aim there. He pulled the trigger and the sound of ricochet could be heard,

DING-DING-DING

Until finally someone off-camera groaned out with a loud pained

"Auuugh!"

And HK pushed himself up slightly, looking back into the room where his little gunfight was taking place for another scan. He sat back down, looking at Solan through the transmission,

"Never mind my evening just cleared up."

Ouch. Faulty intel cost them dearly. That was never going to work. Plus the SOS launched by the Collective was something Jessica couldn't ignore. That would add extra reinforcements that the Techno Empire couldn't engage. They fethed it up big, better cut the losses, or rather, prevent them. Now everyone would hear about the Techno Empire, but not in the ways we expected. We are impossibly outnumbered in space, even if we did win on the ground, we would be cut off from supplies, plus there is no Rogue One Sith presence on this planet. Plus even if we promised every single organic naval staffer on Geonosis a commission at commander level we would never be able to man all the naval reserves, she thought. Poor preparation, faulty intelligence did them in on Ryloth before they could even fire so much as one shot. Luckily no one in the Techno Empire had fired anything, so never has the TE been on the offensive, or provoked anything.

"Commander, there is no Rogue One Sith presence on this planet" a B1 droid told Jessica.

"Members of the Techno Empire, The Reformation has learned of your fleets arrival at the friendly world of Ryloth. You will vacate their space immediately, or we will deploy fleet and, if necessary, ground forces in effort to assist them in stopping your advances. This is your only warning. So sayeth the Triad"

"We are to retreat effective immediately"

"Roger, roger"

"Intelligence reports that the Rogue One Sith is located on Hypori"

"It better not be faulty this time. Ryloth is a prime example of what faulty intelligence can do. Lay in a course for Hypori"

By now the entire force under Jessica's command followed the next lead in their hunt for the Rogue One Sith. One by one the Techno Empire ships left the Ryloth system; the Collective was much more terrifying than the Rogue One Sith, at least for the time being. Agamar was nothing compared to what the reports say about Hypori. They just seemed to be split in several pockets. Hypori was almost under complete Rogue One Sith control and had way more troops there than they mustered on Agamar - maybe they hit the main pocket. Provided that there was no Collective presence on Hypori or any other allies of theirs.
