OOC: This rebellion will be to neutralize the Copero/Rhigar hex.

IC:

Long cloistered from the rest of the galaxy, Chiss space now stirs with rumors of waning power. The scum of the galaxy look to the north, smelling weakness.

The Cabal, a collection of crime lords who have formed a tenuous alliance, obtained critical intelligence from one of their inner circle. An Iron Empire battlegroup is docked at the Copero Shipyards for annual repairs. The opportunity to snap up some of the famed Iron ships is not one the crime lords can pass up, but while adept at skullduggery, the Cabal is not confident it has the manpower to launch such a raid on its own.

No strangers to extremist cells, the Cabal turned its attention to the newly formed Resistance. Through a third party, the crime lords leaked the information to the Resistance, hoping to catalyze them into action.

The Cabal likewise leaked the information to all manner of mercenaries, including the warlike Mandalorians.

Modifying some cargo cruisers into fire ships, the Cabal has launched them at the shipyard's defenses along with a number of junk freighters manned by expendable nobodies to mask the true assault from a team of cloaked shuttles intent on boarding the docked warships and making off with them.

All sorts of mercenaries and extremists have been invited to attack the shipyards and be handsomely compensated. Unfortunately, those mercenaries and extremists have been given an incomplete plan that indicates the attack will be a frontal assault.

Only the crime lords and their handpicked teams know about the assault from the cloaked shuttles.

FYI, my goal is to serve as a fence of sorts for stolen assets. Clan Rekali will be setting up shop on the Blood Trail, in deep space outside IE territory.

Most of the Cabal writers will be starting off in the cloaked shuttles with named NPCs or PCs and we will have a bunch of mooks in freighters commencing the "frontal assault" as outlined in the OP.

I'm kind of stoked for this. Haven't written a vulture in a while. Don't know what kind of ships the IE has, not really in it for that, just looking forward to writing a warfleet that's basically only there to be a fence for stolen goods.
