STRENGTHSLike Father, Like Son: Brutal and efficient, Onley is just learning exactly how strong and disciplined he can make his own body to his commands. A font of raw power, he has the potential to develop in to equally as fearsome a warrior on the field as his Father.
Master Your Face: Though he takes after Reverance in physical power, Onley absorbed much of his Mother’s ability to pretend to be exactly what he needs to in order to achieve his ends. Equally as capable of charming the pants off someone as torturing them in to obedience, he as an aptitude for subterfuge. It is exceptionally hard to tell what he is thinking, planning, or feeling - even after knowing him for years.
Mental Fortitude: Though not an area he is focused in, Onley has an advantage when it comes to shielding his mind. He took no interest in his mother’s mentalism or his father’s learned fortress, but at least saw the advantage in learning to protect his own thoughts.
WEAKNESSES
Stubborn: To a fault. Even if he knows that taking the fall or backing down would benefit him and his plans he won’t do it when it comes to his pride or some other equally important matter.
Amaurosis Fugax: Onley suffers from sudden, random blindness in one or both eyes for anywhere from five to ten minutes at a time. The condition itself is idiopathic, though usually occurs during times of stress or severely heightened emotion.
Commitment Issues: Believe it or not, having two parents who sent him away for the majority of his adolescence so they wouldn’t kill him didn’t foster a sense of trust or open-heartedness in Onley. He sees no point in making friendships that aren’t immediately expedient save for Silas Ovmar, and don’t even talk to him about love.
BIOGRAPHY
He had never been planned.
It was easy to imagine, standing over what passed for a crib in the dead of night as he slept, how easily he could be gone. Weak, incapable - all the things his parents culled, the things they'd spent collective decades eliminating when it got in their way. The frail and the feeble were to be rooted out and while Onley had never been anything but healthy, he was still all chubby limbs and soft skin. Revolting. Abhorrent. And yet curiosity saved him. What had they made? What could it become?
And so they'd left him in the dubious care of Jared Ovmar, once-Master to Matsu and a father in his own right. His parentage was never a secret, but for many years he had no desire to seek them out. He spent his days with Silas Ovmar, each growing crueller in their own ways as Jared threw them time and again to trials increasingly dangerous.
But if anything defined the current of his parents’ life it was curiosity, and blood will out.
