Strengths:
- Cybernetic Friendly: Due to Kaito's extensive cybernetic modifications, his armor was made to integrate directly into his own cybernetics via several connectors on his spine which allowed his cybernetic eyes to take in and utilize the data given by the armor as well as allow him to slice via direct jack in like an astromech.
- Durable: After researching combat armors from around the Galaxy he was able to produce a hodgepodge of parts that would keep him protected from most common weapons such as blasters, slugthrowers, and blades.
- Powered: Like the Yokai it was named for, the powered armor offered Kaito great strength
- Sonic: Most armors weren't made to deal with exotic sonic weapons and thus neither was his.
- Lightsabers: His armor was made to fight street thugs and para-military groups, not Jedi. Outside of his crushgaunt and helmet his armor is susceptible to lightsaber strikes.
- Electricity/Ion: Because of the armor's integration into Kaito's Cybernetics electric arc and ion weapons can seriously damage and disorient him.
Originally made during his days on Terminus as a suit of armor suitable for a powerful Lieutenant, the armor used by Kaito evolved over the years of his crusade and subsequent years in hiding as a politician on Corellia. Styled after the Oni, a legendary ogre from Atrisian mythology to strike fear into his enemies, the armor was large and bulky. It was a powered armor that connected to his cybernetics which allowed a surprising amount of dexterity and connection to his own cybernetic implants that would have otherwise been stifled by a suit of standard battle armor. The armor was worn under a blast resistant black cloak and was made from mostly Corellian Bloodsteel plates. The metal was illegally purchased and easily identifiable among the Corellian populous after his debut in the criminal underworld. He also makes use of Krostport Beskar which had no discernible difference from normal beskar outside of its unique natural red color. Its various sensors gave him an optional near 360 degree field of view, though this could overwhelm him. When coupled with his force abilities the armor truly made him Maou.
The armor kept Kaito's identity secret from his enemies and his allies and allowed the Corellian politician to move freely in both the public eye and the underworld. It became a symbol of fear in his district and several gangs that pledged loyalty to him often painted stylized versions of his helmet with programmable paint or spray-paint. Due to past injuries and his own intense cybernetic modifications, the armor was made in such a way that allowed him to self tune his modifications or receive medical treatment without the armor ever being fully removed save for the most grievous of injuries.
