One way ticket to hell

Soon after they left the Smuggler’s Run, Ashelia and the others went to her ship waiting at the hangar, and while most smugglers prefered to use small and capable ships for taking their products, hers was one of the biggest ones in all the asteroid. A old beauty from MandalMotors, a Tu5k-Class Assault Corvette, bought with her father’s money from the company, a ship that was with her for the past five years. A lot of work she had to do with that corvette, changing all the programming inside to cut minimum crew to four people. In that case became only one live organism and with four FA-4 pilot droid. So rarely she liked to take the helm and stir the vessel among the stars.

Fast as she was, the corvette was still a big ship, one that she had to go after and hire someone to install a cloaking device, losing half the standard armament in that process. ‘Still worth it’, she always said to herself when looking at her ‘Tusk’, a ship that big capable of hiding in the stars was always useful.

“This ship is big, dusty and old, with little cargo hold and is always leaking somewhere, but she does the trick in jobs like these.” also she is mine. Her lips almost said out loud to the outlaws, while looking at the pilot droids working to stir the ship properly, saying while looking at Jahan. “If you want, go get some sleep. Will take a while until we get to Korriban.”, lips crossing, she whistled in a single loud tone and in response, almost immediately, a dog like droid figure came from one of the doors.

“Escort both of them to available cabins.“, turning her back to see the stars once more as she watched the ship leaving the last asteroid in the Run. “Also ask Siak to bring some food for them. We don’t have rations on board, only real food.”, she said at last, dog droid barking at her agreeing with her demands. Her stomach growled for a moment, and it took a while until she decided to go fetch something to eat.

" The ship is a beauty is I dont say so myself." Jahan commented. The Corvette was slightly smaller than his own freighter but worked none the less. The storage would be enough but what took the Cathar back a bit was how complex the architecture was, interior design and things of that sort. None of the details seemed to stick with his tastes. Jahan himself preferred a more open space of rooms and cargo holds. No long halls or anything of that sort. Causally walking along with the his escort Jahan pondered how much long this entire job might take. Hunt down and capture two Terentateks and some Tuk'ata as well all to be brought back alive. His tongue quickly darted out of his mouth licking the upper part of his maw.

The artifact. The real task Jahan was hired for, a special job.

This was the first time Jahan was walking into something blind. The supernatural was always a grey area for him and yet it was a great opportunity to get the experience he wanted. Hunting Jedi and Sith was the end goal after all. How bad could some beasts be?

As she sat in the main chair of the bridge, Ashelia closed her eyes and started to think about the mission that was ahead as they were heading to Korriban. Home of all Sith lore and the dark side. The Queen Popara, ordered them to bring animals and go after a artifact, which she knew very well which one was it, also, she knew who was the real employer.

All her life, Ashelia could always see when her father’s hand was around something. Never would a Hutt desire a terentatek and tuk’atas in her court, for she knew better then that, but the Primarch, however, he had more reasons to acquire such creatures, whatever those were. Also, there was the Holocron, the Undying Holocron, source to some many references in the ancient scrolls the Magisterium kept safe in Kaikielius.

“Mistress, we are arriving Korriban.”, one of the droids said to her, making Ashelia open her eyes and answering in a calm tone of voice. One that surprised her, for how much it sounded like her deceased mother.

“Turn the cloaking device on and land the ship near the Valley.”, she had went through hell and more to get that damn thing. A real piece of work, worth a fortune and capable of cloaking her ship to all sensors, what was useful enough when they were trying to bypass a blockade of Sith warships.

“Roger, roger.”, the droid said, doing it so when they came out from hyperspace. Watching, the red planet floating in space, growing ever closer to them, standing up and starting to walk, for she had to put on her gear if she want it to survive this damned mission.

“Send someone to call the others.”, her voice said before leaving the cabin, going straight to her chambers. As the ship descended heavens towards the red planet, trying not to damage the device so they could land safely in the ruins near the Valley of Golg.

Jahan had gotten rather comfortable in his cabin space, going as far as to take off his armor and explore the ship in only his gladiatorial jerkin. He himself was never a pit fighter but sometimes he wished he was just to see how he would fare against the constant threat of enemies. Perhaphs on Korriban he would get his wish. As the large Cathar explored further he noticed a droid finally catch up to his pace. Its steps were systematic and in rhythm to the ever constant hum that the vessel gave out. The engines reminding all those around that life was always in motion.

" Sir, Pardon me. But your presence is required on the bridge. We will be arriving on Korriban shortly." The droids voice abruptively stopped after the word "shortly". Coldly the droid turned around and vanished from Jahans sight around a bend.

" OK..." Jahan's brow raise on one side of his face.

The trip to the bridge was not too long. Five minutes total, benefits of knowing how to navigate a map.

Arriving... well unequipped with his gear Jahan. " I will observe the descent in till the ship has finally landed. Due to a specific material in my personal armor im afraid ill have to get prepared last minute. Ionite does not work well with Electronics at all." He explained and placed his hands behind his back wholesomely. His back was straight and head high. Watching the red planet grow bigger and bigger Jahan let out a breath of air. His chest felt slightly heavy and the closer they got to Korriban a cold seemed to stick to his furr.

Dark... The feeling put him off by the slightest like a shiver.

Korriban, home of sith. Bastion of the Dark Side. In that place, Nyx senses were on high alert, he could sense almost every creature who tried to sneak upon him. He could also sense the darkness coming from the great tombs not far from where he landed his ship. He studied one thing or another about them in the past, when he was still a agent of the Republic. He knew that those places of rest of the greatest sith lords of the past, and that they were filled with treasure, relics and artifacts of the dark side, if you managed to survive the planet, of course. And then you would have to survive to tombs.

“What are we going to do?” Asked a voice just beside him. Sera, his daughter. Sera was a Twi’lek of a red skin color just like her mother. Her mischievous eyes and smile also resembles her mother. The only thing she took from Nyx was his size, she was way bigger than a normal twi’lek. She looked to the Tuk’ata dead at the feet of the man, his Viroblade stuck in the neck of the creature. There was a sense of joy in sending living creatures to Vahl. Sera sensed it, and Nyx sensed it too.

“We are going to wait.” He said as he took the blade out of the neck’s creature, cleaning the blood on the corpse of the beast. In his left side there was a small cage with three Tuk’ata pups, howling to their mother dead body. Soon the rest of the team would arrive on the planet and they could finally begin the job. The smuggler was ahead of them to scout the planet, and it was just as he thought, the whole planet was hostile.

“I mean those things” She pointed to the cubs as she stretched herself. “Are we going to eat them?” Her smiled darkened as she talk. The same smile of her mother, with the difference that he knew that Sera didn't mean it. For her, everything was a big joke, but she would soon learn that the galaxy is a dark place.

“They are for Popara.” He said. His golden eyes looking at the small creatures that would grown to be beasts capable of ripping apart a man with a single bite. Nyx didn't plan initially to take them, but their father stalked him and then run when Nyx shooted him in one of his legs. He then proceed to follow the beast to their lair, where he killed then and took the little beasts. The mother, enraged, followed the trail and eventually find Nyx and Sera around a fire pit near their ship. Sera didn't like the answer.

“How much are we gonna give to her, father?!” She said, frowning. Sera didn't hate the queen, but she was tired of doing everything she orders, they could be so much more than simple tools to be used by her. She could be so much more. Just like her father, Sera knew she was sensitive to the force, she just needed someone to train her, but her father would never allowed it.

“Not this again. “ He was growing tired of this endless debate. “Let me say this for the last time. You were too young to remember, but Popara took us when everyone else wanted us dead. I had a stolen ship, a sick baby in my arms and a bounty on my head. I had nothing to offer, and she had everything to gain by turning me in. You owe her your life, and i owe her everything.” To this day it was still a mistery why Popara took them, maybe she saw something in him, or in the girl. Maybe she knew about the black ops that he used to do for the republic and figured tha someone like him would be useful for her on the long run.

Sera opened her mouth to debate, but then decide that it was not worth it and stayed quiet in her place, looking very angry. Lucky for Nyx he would not have to stand this for much longer, the ship of Ashelia was already in sight. It was strange for him how much the feeling of this place was familiar. Maybe because i am Vahla, he told himself. His people always had a connection to the dark side of the force.

As the ship passed the patrol vessels and descended the atmosphere, Ashelia chose a quiet and empty place to land. She was in Korriban, long ago, when her father took her there to teach her about history and lore of the first Sith, in his opinion, the Sith were mere tools, made by the power of the Dark Jedi, perfected with time but nothing like the old days, the days of Ajunta Pall and Sorzus Syn.

Her ship, her pride and rusty thing, landed in a closed valley surrounded by mountain, and when the the bridge opened, she was already ready. Walking in a slow pace off the mandalorian vessel to the red dust that was Korriban, even the air was different, whole planet smelled like a graveyard, with dust, bone and decay all around, even with the Sith in the Valley and the Sith Academy, the place was still empty and hardly populated. In her former years as a agent, Ashelia once found out the Sith had a academy and a great library in Korriban, one that was heavily secured, even for her.

“Bridge… Ask them to hurry and keep all systems shut down, we don’t want to be caught by the imperials.”, she said with her hand touching softly in her big pointy ear. Wearing the same clothes as she did in Popara’s palace, a light and simple corsage of reinforced leather, she was holding the B-500 Elite Stealth Carbine with one hand, in her belt, the Model 434 blaster pistol and the Black Smoke Screamer Generator v1.0.0 were both visible, but not her lightsaber. That she hid pretty well in her sleeve. People, especially outlaws, were not so kind with force users as one would hope.

The mission for both of them was simple, capture terentateks and tuk'atas, retrieve some artifact and bring it back. The problem was, Ashelia knew better then that, never she hunted any of those beasts, she had met rancors, vornskr and even acklays in Felucia, but they were nothing compared to the terentateks. They were real killers, not fast as one would imagine but strong as bulls.

Korriban was within sight now. " Korriban, This planet feels so nasty to me. Why cant Tuk'ata live on other worlds. One would think such a place would be dead by now." Jahan remarked watching the ship travel closer to the planet. With a sigh the Lion retreated back to his room from the bridge to gear up once more. By the time he was done Jahan suspected the journey would be over. Stepping off the Ship in full armor the large Cathar smirked and shook his head. Sniffing the air he sighed to himself briefly.

" Are we set little rose?" Jahan asked [member="Princess Ashelia Solidor"] looking her way. " Which task would you prefer first?"

As Nyx watched the Ashelia ship get closer, his senses started to kick in again. They were being watched, and this time it was something far more dangerous that he ever had the pleasure to face. He look to his daughter and notice that her face was serious, as if it was trying to concentrate.

“I am sensing it too.” She said with a whisper. And slowly both start to stand with their hands on their weapons. It was then that the creature made herself know, and Nyx looked right into his yellow eyes glowing from the darkness of the florest. It was not alone, but her eyes were way bigger than the others.

“Damn.” As soon as Nyx dropped those words, at least seven Tuk’ata get out of the florest. And there was more movement in the bushes. “We make our stand on the ship’s bridge.” He said walking back slowly to the ship as the creatures tried to flank they. Then, a Tuk’ata at lest 3 times bigger than the other appear. One look was enough to see she was far more intelligent than the others, and even he could sense the dark side in her.

Then two Tuk’ata launched into them and Nyx fire two shots with his two blasters, killing instantly each one of the beasts, but then four more get out of the woods.

“Run to the ship!” He scream, and more beasts run towards them. Sera was the first to reach the bridge, and she quickly push the button to rise it, and then took position with her snipe rifle, shooting on the beats that were chasing Nyx.

As he land his feet into the bridge, it started to rise slowly. Some of the creatures tried to jump through it but couldn't make it to the other side.

“Let’s get out of here.” He said. And soon the ship was rising from the ground while the creatures circle it. Before set his ship to follow Ashelia, he saw the biggest Tuk’ata destroy the cage where with the puppets. They tried to run, but the thing smashed they with it’s paw and then started to eat them.
