One Stormy Night (Elvira Congelo)

Dromund Kaas. Land of eternal shadow. Planet of constant storms. The Sith Empires capital thousands of years ago. Krest found himself traveling to the planet, another stop on whole galaxy trip. And not exactly his favorite. His first steps on the planet overwhelmed him with the dark side, causing him to falter. But it only lasted for a second, and the Zabrak quickly regained himself. The Dark was only half of him after all.

He wandered around the dark forest, it empty. Devoid of life. This put the Templar on edge as his hand gripped Deus, him on edge. Kaas was not a calm place, and the Zabrak felt as if the wildlife knew he was here.

Since she had become an apprentice, a young Elvira was always searching up new planets to search for power in. Dromund Kaas had been a direct suggestion for a good place to look at. Thus, after landing another "borrowed" shuttle from her master, the girl had gotten out and decided to check it out.

Elvira enjoyed the unusual darkness the forest contained in its looks, however the dark sensations it gave her sort of creeped her out. Elvira pressed on through FOLLOWING the darkness in hopes of learning from it.

She had her katana out, she was using it to wack all of the foliage out of the way. After swinging her sword to send a particularly large branch out of the way, Elvira looked up to see somebody standing several yards in front of her.

Krest was never good at sensing people. Today didn't prove to be an exception. Instead he stood, walking through the forest with a hand still on Deus. But if there was one thing he was good at, it was listening. As the branch landed Krest turned, his sword out. The pale purple flame smoked off of it's edge as he looked to @[member="Elvira Congelo"]. He stood there, his blue gaze never leaving her form.

Elvira looked a zabrak right in the eyes, her katana in her right hand. She blinked, noticing his eyes were scanning her entire body, and uncomfortably pulled her cloak over herself with her free hand. She lifted her sword up a tad bit and spoke in a slightly offended tone, her purple eyes cold as ice, "Hello?"

Krest kept quite for a moment, still trying to process if @[member="Elvira Congelo"] was foe or not. When he was satisfied she wouldn't attack him he spoke up. "Why are you here?" His tone was level, calm. I she wasn't a foe there would be no reason to fight. And man was the Zabrak tired of fighting.

Elvira looked up at the zabrak and spoke, "Trying to learn something new." She rolled her eyes, her annoyance of her lack of training slipping through. Her sword was now down, her other arm had fallen in a rather teenage fashion. The untrusting girl eyes the zabrak. "You?"

He slid Deus back into it's sheath, slowly folding his arms over his chest. Always with the teenagers these days. He watched @[member="Elvira Congelo"] closely, his blue eyes flashing. He was willing to teach any who wanted it. So maybe he could teach this one.

"What is it you want to learn?"

Elvira's eyes blinked in surprise. Really? This total stranger was willing to teach her a Force ability?

Her eyes narrowed. "Why would a total stranger want to teach another total stranger something? ... And what Force powers do you have in mind?"

Krest shrugged his shoulders, watching the girl still. He didn't know why he wanted to teach her, only that he could and would. It was a habit he probably would never break out of.

"I'd rather teach a stranger then fight them. Wouldn't you agree? I can teach you how to harness your rage without loosing yourself to it, if you're interested."

Elvira blinked curiously, minding to watch her steps around this man, and nodded. She suddenly chuckled, lifting her hand to her dye green bangs to push them behind her ears, "Well, I do need to learn how to control my anger... Are you sure?"

Krest shrugged his shoulders slowly. @[member="Elvira Congelo"] didn't seem very threatening, but you never know what could happen. At the moment his best bet was to stay friendly, and maybe even teach someone his own skills.

"I don't see why not. This is a perfect planet to do so."

Krest spread his arms wide, motioning to the area around him. No time like the present right?

"We begin now." Part of him felt like this was a bad idea. When he did this, he locked himself in a room till his anger was either exhausted or he had it under control. Here was a much more open area, and he was teaching, not doing. This could prove either helpful or dangerous, but no point in stopping now.

"A quick question though. Light or Dark?"

@[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Elvira blinked, her side in the ways of the Force could be confusing. "It's kind of complicated," she reached up to her neck and scratched behind it, "But let me water it down to this:" Her hand fell to her hips, just around her blaster holsters as she explained, "I am willing to partake in the light if I don't fall for its pacifism, but I am willing to partake in the dark if it doesn't corrupt me." She then shrugged, "Confusing, right?"

@[member="Krest"]

Krest shook his head. "Nope. I'm both myself." He held up both his hands, smiling. Here was someone similar to him. Someone who wanted both without the extremes. This was perfect. "The skill involves both. Light and Dark. You're going to have to pull on your rage within the darkness and control it with the light. Now, when you feel ready, I'll show you how."

@[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Krest nodded. He sat down suddenly, in a meditation stance. "First things first. You're going to have to submit yourself to your rage. You'll go on a rampage, attacking everything you can. While you're in this state you will find yourself in your mind. The world will be dark, but if you can find the light and reclaim your consciousness before your body gives out you will have learned the basics of the skill itself."

The Zabrak closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. Should @[member="Elvira Congelo"] go as crazy as he went, he was going to have his hands full for sure.

"Think about everything that makes you angry. Think about the Dark Side. Give into it. Let it control you." He watched the girl, watching @[member="Elvira Congelo"]. It won't take long, or so he hoped.

Elvira blinked, suddenly nervous about this "O-Okay..." Somehow, her past had immediately taken hold of her head. She remembered her years training as a youngling at their beloved Jedi Temple. She remembered how they treated her like SCUM. She remembered the bullies who kept pushing her there, and how the Council had done nothing about it. She remembered the day she had left the order and how she was immediately exposed to the terror and injustice that the Jedi apparently were not taking care of. She remembered all the destruction, hopelessness, and disbelief she had gone through. She remembered the loneliness she had faced her entire life...

... and that was all the fuel she needed.

All this time, she wondered why the Council did nothing but be lazy bums in their fancy Council seats when there was too much work to be done. Why didn't they do more to be what they were supposed to be: peace keepers, justice bringers, beacons of hope. The question had riddled her her entire life and Elvira hated this.

Elvira felt herself overflowing in her rage, and she felt that same feeling she felt whenever she used the Force Choke... but this time it was so much more severe...

... ... ...

In a flash, after closing her eyes for just a second Elvira opened her eyes. She was on the ground, breathing heavily, she looked straight at a scene of two trees, one violently thrown off the ground and crashed into another. How many broken tree branches had she seen in front of her? Elvira lastly noted one of her katanas, extremely bult, lying on the ground in front of her as well.
