The spinning heel kick connected with her ribs but unsurprisingly she had used the opportunity to get a good hold of his leg. Beginning to get unsteady from her raising it high, the knight knew she was going to aim for the leg he was standing on. Being on the ground with Lily was only going to be an awkward situation for Silas, so at the very least, he needed to be ready to burst up when she thought she had him in her grapple.

Silas seemingly smirked and just before she swung her leg he made sure to do one big hop backward and prepare himself physically to act fast when the time came. When that very thing happened, he almost instantly scrambled back with some explosive energy to catch her off guard and get back up to a standing clinch.

"Standards I'll be more than happy to meet..." Silas would say in between breaths.

As soon as she noted that Silas was going to spring back up, Lily shifted tactics, she was adapting easily and freely with her fighting style. Shifting from the grapple attempt to striking at his feet and legs, keeping a crouched stance as Lily struck low and moved swiftly. Even without the Force boosting her speed and abilities, her natural skills were something to be in awe at, especially for her young age. She had fought several opponents most were significantly stronger than herself.

All of that experience meant that she had an understanding of how to take on a tough fight from a perceived underdog position. So, Lily continued to draw Silas's defences low and have him predicting her attacks to his legs and feet, conditioning him for where her priorities were in her attacks. Lily was guiding him to where she wanted his focus to be, demonstrating her speed and aggressive moments as she struck fast and hard with every attack. However, she was lulling Silas into his confidence, stroking his ego that he was able to defend himself against her attacks. That she had to be tiring and lessened in her ability.

Then came to true attack. While striking a stomping kick to Silas's shin, Lily took the opportunity to punch forward hard and straight for his solar plexus to wind him hard and force him to stumble backwards. After that, she jumped forward and aimed a punch mid jump for his face. Going in fast and moving her strikes from a low to now aiming for his core or face.

"I have standards not even an Echani male has matched yet." Lily commented in return.

The good news was that he was back standing, the bad news being Lily coming back at him with another series of attacks.

Taking a calm deep breath, Silas zoned in on her movements. In this state of mind, he was at his most focused. He was determined to not let anything get past his kind of sight, and before long he'd spot her first assault. Seeing her leg muscles tense, he swiftly moved his foot back and saw the enchanti swing a punch to knock the wind out of his sails. Responding with both arms, her first clattered into elbow bone and made him grunt from the force she put behind it.

He couldn't block too many of those.

Just after, she'd jump forward with a punch aimed straight for his face. This time, Silas had something up his sleeve to rethink her attack. Using head movements to force the punch off his shoulder, he suddenly threw a sharp knee into her stomach followed by a right hook into her cheek to deliver a good combo to his skilled opponent.

Her tactic had some success and she was able to land some hits on Silas, though they weren't the hard, fight ending blows that she was wanting them to be. That didn't matter though, she was still learning the fighting style of Silas and each blow and strike was informing her more on what he was like as a fighter. She was learning to read his body language. Even though she only hit the shoulder and elbow of Silas, she made sure he suffered for those impacts. Wear his body down.

His counter, a sharp knee to her side which caused Lily to wince and grunt but she accepted that pain to give herself enough time to focus on a hard defence against the hook punch. Her hand sharply snapped into his inner wrist, striking at the pressure points to deaden the arm. Lily was going to weaken the man till he was struggling hold a defence or movement.

She then grabbed the wrist she struck, holding Silas in her grip as she went for a hard sweep into the ground. Lily going again for a pin and arm bar. Force Silas to tap out of the fight.

Silas grunted loudly from her hand hitting his wrist, taking it out of action momentarily as she grabbed hold and attempted to take him down. The strike was smart, but it didn't take his focus off what she would do next. Feeling the takedown coming, the knight felt her sweep come from behind to try and make him fall backward. Instead, the knight's legs held strong, firm, and upright as he leaned into her body.

Only when he countered did they start to move again.

Using the fact he was already pressing into her, Silas unexpectedly wrapped his leg around hers and began pushing her to the mat. Once down, the knight quickly shuffled into side control to throw some heavy knees into her ribs to slow the talented Jedi. He didn't want to stay down here for long due to the obvious risks Lily composed. However, chipping away at her body like this was surely going to start showing soon. It sure did with her hits, especially after her fist crashed into his shoulder and elbow to make them really sore.

The wrist on the other hand still felt a bit weird, he'd need to give that a bit more time. ​

Feeling the shifting weight of Silas, he countered her sweep with his own and pushed her to the ground. He attempted to grapple her on the side, which made her grin. Lily was feeling the work out that this sparring session was providing but she was in her element, she wasn't going to show off any pain or soreness. Instead she looked excited and like she could spend all day doing this with Silas if she got the chance.

Pumping weights and deadlifting had been something Lily focused on for this reason. She used her strength to push Silas up and prevent him from grappling her down into submission. Lily held him up and flipped him over onto his back, she then straddled Silas and pinned him down with her own weight. There was a pant to her breathing from the exertion of lifting Silas.

Lily then attempted to pin his wrists above his head, looming over Silas as she tried to win the match once and for all.

Silas managed to gain the side control, but that was only after some good effort. His breathing was picking up, and his body was beginning to sweat from the intensity of the whole ordeal. To say the least, Silas was enjoying the challenge Lily was bringing to him "Having fun down there?" he teased just before he underestimated his opponent's strength.

Due to how she trained, Lily could lift bigger weights than the average Jedi. Silas, who wasn't expecting her to achieve such a feat was lifted in the air. He tried to squirm his way out only to be put onto his back, where Lily jumped at the opportunity to gain the advantage. Silas was in trouble now, not only because her weight was pinning him down but also because she was trying to secure his hands.

Seeing that Lily had already grabbed one of his hands, he tried to be as much of a nuisance as possible by trying to tug it out of her grasp. Then, while she was preoccupied send a few hard punches into her liver to try and make her fall off.​

Her training had paid off and she was able to catch Silas off guard. It meant that she was able to take charge in the sparring and get him pinned down. She was surprised he had no sarcastic comment while she pinned him down. Lily had been sure there would be something said about the fact she was straddling him, however it seemed that he was too focused on their sparring match. Possibly a sign that she was becoming more of a threat in his mind.

He was fighting her even as the odds seemed not in his favour. Squirming around and fighting her grasp of his hand. The punches to her liver were blocked by her arm, her knees pinching as she attempted to squeeze Silas. Her free hand went to grab his punching hand and pin that one down as well. Hoping that she would be able to force a submission.

There was now a bead of sweat dripping down as this fight had gotten a lot more intense that Lily had initially thought.

Unfortunately, the woman's arms blocked the punches to her side. In response, she squeezed his body hard with her knees and began to make him feel the pressure. If it weren't for her pinning the arm down, he would have tried something else. However, it was getting clear he wasn't going to get out of this considering his face was slowly going red. Hesitantly, Silas tapped on her wrist and rolled away from her as soon as she let go, reflectively breathing heavily from both the spar and her squeeze.

"Very well done..." Silas said at first in between breaths, appreciative of the challenge she gave him "Not many padawans can do that to knights, but considering you've been fighting your whole life I'm not surprised" Leaning up, he gave her a weary smile.

"However, don't be too smug. When we run it back soon things could very much be different" Silas winked. Then, when he got to his feet he'd offer his hand to help her up. ​

As soon as Silas tapped on her wrist, she released him in a safe manner that allowed him back on his feet. She was not there to cause pain, Lily was sparring for the love of the experience. Pain was an unfortunate consequence of it.

Rising to her height on her own, Lily smirked at the compliment from Silas, she could tell that he wasn't someone who gave them out freely. She gave her body another stretch as Lily looked over to Silas. "Not just training my whole life in combat, it is learning to understand the body's flow in combat. That is a talent not every fighter has." Lily had learned that from her many duels, she wasn't always winning her fights but Lily always made sure to take something away from a fight.

"Maybe. Only way to find out is to spar again in the future." Lily giggled with a smirk, not against fighting Silas again in the future to see the difference in outcome.

"You are not wrong, even though I may have a grasp on lightsaber combat my hand to hand still isn't fully perfected." That was going to take time like Lily said, but if he kept improving like he was Silas was going to be on his way to achieving that goal. Keeping at it was key, and he had no breaks when it came to things he focused on.

Giggling with her, Silas nodded in agreement "Indeed, name a time and place and I'll be there" he said confidently, his mouth forming a smirk "And other activities if we're both feeling it" Silas teased, leaving it to the mind of what he could possibly mean.

Walking to the corner of the mat, he picked up a fresh towel and draped it over his shoulders "I'm afraid this will be where I will have to leave you, Lily. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the winner had to pack away the mats?" Silas said with a slight chuckle, giving her one last cheeky grin as he began to leave the room.

"Have fun, I'm certain we will cross paths very soon" Raising a hand, he gave her a brief wave as he walked "May the force be with you Lily Decora"

"You are also Jedi, the Force being at your fingertips to use and empower you, that being taken away can make combat harder. It is like fighting with sight and then suddenly forced to fight blinded with someone who has spent nearly two decades fighting blind." Lily stated, demonstrating that she was sure there would be other styles of sparring that Silas would have more of an advantage in than she did.

She tilted her head, "other activities? Such as weight training and cardio workouts? I guess doing that could help you get a better physical frame..." Lily pondered on why he would mention a vague thing like that in addition to them sparring. Felt strange but she was still getting to know him so perhaps in the future she would be able to assess what he means with statements like that.

"Pretty sure you just mean, I pick up the mats, I doubt you would have stuck around to do it if you won." Lily narrowed her eyes, she might not understand what he was inferring previously but she was not too dull to miss the fact that he was dumping a chore on her. She shook her head and used the Force to shift the mats into their places. It was a way to practice her more refined Force powers.

"See you again, and may the Force be with you Silas Westgard." Lily called out.
