One Sith Army Stuff

Hello, hello!

So this new character will be something completely new for me - a military commander. Now, why am I posting this? I was thinking that as a way to get into that, maybe we could have a little skirmish somewhere. A skirmish where we would use NPC soldier troops (and PC soldiers, if anybody wants that) at fighting against other people.

It would be a way for me or anybody else wanting to do that to train at these things. Also, more story and stuff to do for the One Sith.

So... is anybody interested? Or is it a really bad idea?

(it would take place after the invasion, of course, so that everybody could participate)

Great idea. Most of my main characters are - or have been - military commanders. ICly, Mordecai attended and graduated from the Panathan Military Academy and would be most apt to attend a training seminar or whatever.

Then I'm going to assume it's not exactly a terrible idea.

Anyways, it looks like things go slower here in the One Sith forum, so I think I should wait a bit more with planning.

However, I got thinking that while it would be interesting to fight the Republic, I fear most people would still be tired from the drama of the invasion (not only Republicans, but also us, Sith), so maybe it should be some other faction this time? I'm not too sure about OS's current alliances or w/e, but maybe it could be the Protectorate? That's just an idea, of course. I have no idea of how many actual commanders they have.

What level will you be commanding from?

Company will probably see you right up close to the action responding to events very quickly. (And occasionally firing your blaster)

Battlegroup will obviously pull in air support and armoured elements under your command if you want to organise a broader range of units!

Huh, right now it looks like only a squad unless I get a promotion really fast. But I believe if there are going to be Masters around, things would make a lot more sense.

IMHO opinion it would make more sense to start as a fresh leiutenant and platoon commander.

I started Khallesh as a Subaltern (Section Commander) purely because the Yuuzhan Vong have a different approach to choosing people for command....



Every new military Non-Force using characters starts off as Enlisted/NCO. Those that want to begin at the One Sith as an Officer or Commander must post a request in this thread with the following template:
Character Name: [Display Name]
Requested Rank: [Officer or Commander]
Justification: [State the reasons for this request as well as any in-character evidence for this]

The following are the promotion rules for Non-Force Users:

• Promotion to Officer: A Knight/Officer or Lord/Commander must vouch for the character's promotion to Officer in this thread.
• Promotion to Commander: The candidate must win a majority vote of all active Commanders in favor of his/her promotion. The Faction Admins may overturn a vote in favor of the candidate's promotion if they believe that it's necessary.

There are no demotions involving the core ranks for Non-Force Users, just as there are no demotions for Force Users. However, a character that causes issues for the One Sith might be kicked out of the faction.

That is true, but I feel like my reasoning won't be good enough to start out as an Officer.

But I'll try, because it is a lot better to start out with a higher rank than to have to control only 8 people.
