Tala Vale
Character
Tala walked through the underworld, her red hair covered by a drab green scarf and a metal eyemask. Her military boots squeaked as she marched in her military-style pants and shirt. As the red-headed humanoid looked up, watching people of various species go about that day. She couldn't help but be interested in people's daily arguments and activities, wondering what that Rodian who was resting on the windowsill did for work or the day of a fruit salesman in this dark damp place. She wished she could collect all the stories and put them in a library book for anyone to view. Unfortunately, most people probably didn't want to see the day-to-day of an owner of a food stand. And that was too bad because she would pay millions of credits for a chance to be someone else for once.
The buildings loomed over her as she walked, cracked and half broken with chunks of facade knocked off and pasted over with graffiti. Broken and still standing... Almost like the people who inhabited them. With the old burns over her body, the feeling of being broken felt too familiar to her as well. Still like these people, she was still fighting, and with Miria to protect, she was forced to fight even harder to keep above board. So far, the support from the Jedi had helped her do that but with her being sidelined because of her... accident... who knows how long that would last. She knew she was easier to throw away than most Jedi who were intact. All she could do is keep going down her current course which paid the bills or find something else to pay the bills.
As she walked into what became a rundown central square, she heard the noise, more like the bellowing of a Rancor. When she glanced at the noise, she saw a Dowutin, shouting out to anyone who would listen as he gestured to himself. "Come on, who thinks they can beat me in a fight? I bet you a hundred credits, you can't." Tala smirked as she walked up, cracking her knuckles. She always loved chances to prove herself against other fighters and this would be another opportunity to back up her shit-talk. "I'll give it a try, I'll even let you get the first punch in." The Massive Alien chuckled in his own tone as others cleared the area, making a large circle around them. "Looks like we got a bold one here... Let's see what you got blind girl." Standing off against one another, both sized each other up as the spectators made their bets with each other. Finally, the Dowutin made his move, punching Tala square in the ribs, taking the breath out of her. It felt like her insides were being scabbled as his fist impacted her body. All she could do to fight back was knee the monster in his chest, and force the alien back. Following up with a palm strike to her opponent's body, she hoped she could keep up at this pace. Miria shouldn't have to come down her search for her and find her broken body laying on the broken cement.
