First Reply One Night on Nar Shaddaa, And The World's Your Oyster

Nar Shaddaa was teeming with life. Every inch of the Smuggler's Moon was inhabited by someone, and every one of them was trying to make it big. Adonis stepped past mothers and drug dealers alike as he pushed through the crowd. Normally, in his beskar'gam, he was able to part through crowds with ease- turns out not many people wanted to get in the way of seven feet of beskar.

Adonis had chosen to leave his armor at home, or at least in the penthouse he had rented for his stay. The Warden was never one to venture out without his armor, but his good friend and executive assistant, Lys had insisted and blocked out his schedule in advance.

"You're twenty-five." she said, "Go act like it."

She was very good at keeping Adonis functioning between being the Warden of Vaal and running his business, he found it difficult to also balance his day to day. She made sure he was eating and sleeping enough to keep him competent. So when she said he needed a break, Adonis listened.

She had made him promise he would go out at least one night. That he would leave his armor behind, get a drink, and go dancing. She had even packed him an outfit she said would make him look his age, rather than the stuffy look he had come to wear.

He instinctively tugged at the waist of his shirt, an old nervous tick. He felt almost naked without the armor. He hadn't had to face the world as Adonis in a long time. Through the years, his armor had become more than protection, it had become part of who he was. Maybe this would be healthy for him- a lesson in not always being in control.

Finally, after what felt like an hour of pushing through crowds, Adonis looked up and saw the glowing sign "Cruxx". The sign was pouring out red light, the final 'x' flashing softly. It wasn't anywhere that he would have gone on his own, but Lys had a friend who swore this was the best bar in the sector. She had said that if you wanted to go meet people, this was where you went.

The door fee felt like highway robbery, but Adonis paid it anyways.

Finally, he had entered the club. The loud bass was bleeding through the walls and the floor as he pushed through more crowds. The hum of voices over the loud music made him deaf to almost anything else. He didn't even have the ability to psych himself out about it, it was so loud. 'Just one drink, and a dance, then I've completed my duty.' He thought to himself as he joined the queue to the bar.

He looked around at the walls, they were decorated in dark and metallic accents. Mirrors and other reflective surfaces acted as 'lights' reflecting the feint glow of datapads and neon signs that tied the room together. There were few places to sit, it seemed this part of the club was meant to force you to dance. He looked for exits, and spotted one, but it would be a trample to try to get to it. He started to look around for another exit before he caught himself. He took a low breath in, in he was doing it again. He exhaled and shook the thought away.

He was sure he'd come across it naturally.

While making his approach to order, a Zabrak bumped into him, grunting something about watching where he was going. This caused Adonis to push into the person in front of him. It wasn't in his interest to get into any bar fights, so he let it go. Instead, he put his attention to the stranger he just knocked into.

"I'm sorry." Adonis took a small step back, lifting a hand apologetically. "That one was on me."

He glanced toward the bartender before looking back.

"Let me buy you another drink."
