Tholatin was once a very long time ago under vong control, and it had smuggling outposts, but beyond that Taiden knew little about where he was headed, so on the way he’d spent a night and a day studying, minimal hours sleep just to read up on the place, and after finishing his minor diplomatic mission, had 3 days before the transport was returning for SSC space.

Landaway Hills
Songpearl Training Dojo
Daybreak.

Like most traditional Echani, Taiden had a strict schedule of training, but he wasn’t someone for crowds, finding the smallest out of the way dojo you could find, quiet, peace in a small town far from anything noticeable. The people were welcoming enough even to a stranger, had some relaxing views and nice local places to eat, cultured but very low kew. The Dojo he was in had perhaps three students and far more room than they needed, quaint charm to its wooden walls. Bowing on entry and exit, barefooted, and old school as you might find anywhere.

Dressed in Traditional white, silver sword down his back and lightsaber hilt on his hip, he was meditating silently upon the mat in the direction of the rising sun, glimpsing its rays through small window slits near the roof. Having already finished limbering up and now ready to begin his morning routine, his eyes opened and he began balance exercises. The gentile Echani’s balance was flawless thanks to Matsu Ike’s and Nima Tanns core teachings, but he did sway slightly whenever his concentration was broken by another student executing a loud technique nearby, with their constant need to shout whenever they finished something.

Open doors, anyone was free to come and go as they pleased in this pleasant enough setting, just one much older Master Jedi sitting on observing them all, eyes firmly closed.

Anarya stepped quietly, stepping behind the Echani, her back to the man. She wanted to know who he was, but he was busy. Activating the lightsaber in her hand, she gave a few warm up swings before bringing her right arm back, bending it at the elbow as her left moved forward, raising two fingers. She never understand this stance, he legs lined up to her arms. Coiled energy in her legs. It felt like she was supposed to lunge. And it was difficult to switch into any sort of block. She stepped forward, bringing the lightsaber into a roof block, before swinging it into a left parry, taking a step back. She shifted into a standard Soresu sequence before stepping wrong. Tripping, she bumped into the Echani man as she fell. "Sorry." she said quickly, grabbing her saber as she pushed herself up.

Eyes closed, Taiden was focused on the surrounding force much more than his physical balance, and as she knocked him he was yanked back to reality, doing what looked like an amusing dancing hop to his other foot. He opened an eye, blinking back to look upon what was around him.

The Echani bowed his head, lowering his leg down, and put his hands together formally as if to say, think nothing of it. Noticing she was studying a form, he had yet to practice Soresu, though he had trained in some basic Shi-Cho, and plenty of sword styled techniques. Taiden had seen Soresu, so his question was instead a personal request for a training partner, even if it may not appear it by his words. Hand offered to get her to her feet.

“May I see, what is it that you are studying Chana?” Voice reserved, formal and respectful. Chana, assuming her an adept of sorts developing her skills. Trips part of the practice, as with his formerly wavering one legged balance. Keen to see more of how she trained, Taiden had curious child-like quality often enough when seeing something of interest, especially others at study, his face an eager picture to see rather than hear more.
