"We need to organise some more restoration efforts, the imperial attempts to throw tantrum on Corellia has cause damage to the buildings. We need to demonstrate that Corellia never has to bear the scars from it." Cynan stated firmly to his right hand, Sawel, Cynan walked down the main street and watched as the hired builders organised themselves. It had been somewhat costly to Cynan in order to ensure that Corellian based workers were the ones hired to do the work. He was used to Naboo workers, many of whom respected Cynan and his house well enough to offer discounts and he could trust the work done. Corellia was different but he desired to understand the world better. Cynan hadn't spent long on the world but seeing the people attempt to recover from the Galactic Empire's attempt to massacre them into obedience. It was impressive and inspiring in a way.

He felt like organising a force. Organising a positive outcome that showed how strong Corellia was and would always be. That was something that Cynan desired to do.

It would take time and there would be a lot to take on in terms of differing cultures, differing views on the galaxy as well as the fact that he was a stranger attempting to make a presence. But Cynan was willing to adopt this world as his home, do what it took to ensure that Corellia stood stronger than ever before. Even if that effort took a life time to achieve.

"My lord, are you sure that you wish to purchase an apartment complex in this area... It isn't considered the most savoury area of Corellia..." Sawel cautioned Cynan, it was understandable to be nervous, there was sometimes a bad reputation that came with Corellia. However, the work being done where was not going to be completed overnight and it was something that Cynan desired to be close to. He also figured that if he was truly going to dedicate himself to Corellia that he needed to be living in the area that required most of his help.

Cynan waved his hand to Sawel, "I am staying here. And remember, we offer the other rooms for free to those most affected by poverty and the massacre." He was not going to own property and allow homelessness to be something that happens around him. Cynan was here to help and throwing around his wealth without a care about others would not be something he could tolerate doing. He was here to help.

So he would help.

Trying to get a conference with the Senator was challenging. His aides had decided it was due to Senator Monaray Dod Monaray Dod being vaporized very shortly after their last meeting. Not his fault in the slightest, although his two assistants had passed along rumors among some that he had killed Dod. An entire fabrication, the pair had met regarding business expansion in the High Republic Great Houses.

What he had come to find out was Senator Cynan Obaith Cynan Obaith was focused more on rebuilding Corellia than meetings. Something he could respect. Corellia had been rebuilt but the planet was a hot spot. A center of trade and commerce and valuable for moving goods. Which meant every government across the 'verse wanted a chance to own it.

Judah had no use for governments beyond being a necessary evil for his business. Which also meant meeting with Senators and Governors to push through what he needed. Today was Cynan Obaith, who was apparently out in the rubble visiting his voters. Not unwise.

Walking through the rubble strewn streets, he was working hard on catching up with the small group. Maybe if he called out.

"Senator! Excuse me Senator!"

"Let's hire some of those Corellian contractors that alerted us to some structural issues with my new property. Make sure they see the design plans for the mural of the ones lost in the massacre." Cynan stated to Sawel as he looked over the designs for what he was hoping to build in the rubble. Something that would bring the community together but also demonstrate that this could not happen again and he would not allow it to happen again if he could help it.

Hearing a voice call out to him, calling him senator, Cynan gestured the crowd to part ways so that the man could approach freely. "Greetings. Currently not senator, I am hopeful to be senator when the High Republic finds their way here. I do appreciate the support." Cynan softly chuckled and offered his hand to shake with the other man. "You have me at a disadvantage here, sir, might I ask for your name?"

Cynan nodded over to Sawel to get started on the work while Cynan took in what this new person desired from him. Being a senator, being a person who wanted to do good, it was important to Cynan to listen. Absorb everything that was going on around him. "How can I help you today?" He figured that there was something that required his attention and Cynan was eager to make himself as available to the people of Corellia as he could. Right now, that meant all the time he could afford. Knowing that if he did end up as senator, then he might have to delegate some of this work.

That was going to be unfortunate, necessary but unfortunate. So, he wanted to do as much as he could in person while he could.

Not a Senator. Then why the office in the middle of an active rebuilding zone? If he hoped to be perhaps counting on the vote of the average citizen rather than courting the elite. Not a horrible strategy.

"Oh. Then I am sorely mistaken. My apologies." So then where was the Senator for this planet? Maybe he and his assistants had gotten some files mixed up. Judah had to admit his eyes glazed over a few times trying to figure out power dynamics and who to contact. "Judah Dashiell, a pleasure to meet you either way."

Hand extended by way of greeting. If this man couldn't assist him long term, perhaps he could at least answer one question.

"Just looking for the Senator. I wanted to go over a few proposals but no matter, things can progress without the government. No idea where that person may be, do you? An ambassador? Diplomat?"

His work could progress. Not an issue. The issue had been trying to get buy-in from the Corellian government to grant contracts. It had been a great deal of radio silence when inquiring via the HoloNet and Judah suspected they might have thought him a fraud. Now that he was standing here with boots on the ground then it was apparent that maybe no one was really in charge.

Shaking his head, "it is an understandable mistake. My intentions are to represent Corellia in the near future and making sure that the work being done here to restore the majesty of the world is being done. However, I hate to ever just assume I hold a title until it is bestowed to me. Call me humble, I suppose." Cynan gave a soft laugh as he explained why he was not acting as senator or using the title just yet. There were still things that needed to be sorted out. Namely, ensuring that the High Republic approached Corellia with a reasonable offer for joining the republic.

"I believe the current government and senator representative is a murky mess. Not too long ago, the Galactic Empire assumed authority over the world. Removing the established leadership for their own controlled government. However, after the massacre displayed that day and the weakened imperial presence on Corellia, that control seems to be short-lived." Figuring that Judah might have been out of the loop for the more recent political movements of Corellia. He knew several who had been the same. Focused elsewhere and did not realise what was going on nearer to home.

Seeing that this was someone looking to get business rolling on Corellia, Cynan smiled and nodded his head. "I understand your concerns, I am guessing that you don't want to have operations halted with a new government being installed or having added oversight because people are suspicious of you?" Corellia brought all kinds of people wishing to do work and Cynan wanted to ensure that they only had the best of intentions in making sure the workers got a fair pay and way of life. Cynan was never going to allow a Corellian worker be taken advantage of or overworked to make barely a living wage.

Not while others profited millions from them.

"Well, I can discuss the work you have planned and I can even try helping you get it started. I have gotten a decent understanding of the current politic landscape recently here. And I have gotten through the loopholes to get work done in renovations for this area. So I might have a decent understanding of what you need." Cynan offered a warm smile, hoping to ensure that Judah got the help he needed and to perhaps even get the support of someone who was making some profits working on Corellia. That usually swayed the minds of many outsiders in supporting someone. "Just tell me a little more of what you are hoping to achieve. So I know exactly where we need to start. I am not looking to steal your ideas or take the opportunities away from you."

Cynan wanted to reassure Judah that he was here to help and not outmanoeuvre for personal gain.

"Murky mess. Been there, done that."

Judah listened but was no longer concerned he had to fight an uphill battle with a government. Murky waters meant he could typically start operations and once someone else came in, continue. His plans included bringing in a space station. Those were easily moved around to another more friendly skies should the winds of commerce change.

"Loopholes for me will be far different than yourself. You're a citizen wanting to make change and one who criticized the government. Well, previous government now. Given things are in disarray, now is the perfect time to strike on my own. Many will give little thought to a salvage platform in orbit, especially with so much debris on planet and off."

Ignoring the man's question for now, Judah pressed one of his own.

"You speak of loopholes but why are you still trying to do thinks via proper channels? You said it yourself, the government is decentralized and going through a rough period with the loss of the Empire. I have no doubt your intentions are noble, I can just look around and tell that. So why not push your agenda now to position yourself in a better position when officials do wake up? You're employing locals, going block by block. You would be remiss not to make the most of this opportunity."
