It was in the Darkside, which was a sector of the wonderful planet of Coruscant. It was under One Sith's control, and that's what Eve liked. The Republic had been just a piece of rubbish in her opinion, and now that such a power ruled over the galactic capital, she had a warm feeling inside. After being tamed and manipulated by the powerful Republic government, as Eve thought, she felt like she should have come to the "right" side of the Force much sooner.

Walking in the Darkside, she was aimless and had nothing to do. She should have started looking for a job to earn some living, but it wasn't the way of Haliburtons. No, not at all. Maybe if she would have returned to her new family, she would have had a chance to earn money without working at all. But no, it wasn't the right time to return.

So her only option would have been finding a job. And that, of course, in the Darkside sector, because she wouldn't have got any better jobs with her lacking experience. Of course, looking for a job in the undercity of Coruscant would have been even easier, but it was too dangerous for a woman like this. Her Force skills were lacking, and she had found out she was the most proficient in mental powers. Not that she would have managed to control a bunch of people, though. Her lack of skills would have been fatal in such a place.

Hmm... but maybe she should have joined the One Sith? She was Force-sensitive, and definitely a Darksider, so why shouldn't she try it out? After all, she would learn much about the Force over there. And it would definitely make her life easier.

If she had known any One Sith people, though...

That day, she wore only simple clothing, nothing fancy. Her lack leather jacket covered her white shirt, her gray skinny jeans covering her legs, and the shoes she wore were not heels, but instead simple sneakers which were white in colour. So she was not wearing her elegant clothing that day, even though she would have wanted to.

But wearing elegant clothing too often made them more and more damaged and ugly. She didn't have much money to buy new clothing, so she had to save what she had.

Taking a sigh, she stopped and thought about maybe walking into a shop or a cantina? But yeah, she lacked money, so she wouldn't have bought anything. Pfft, she would have only ordered some water in a cantina. To save money, that's why.

The darkside of Coruscant... Spoken in hushed whispers and hidden away.... Not really as Balaya stood there in one of the sith dresses. Traditional robes were nice but they ripped when she wore them usually and the large zeltron while covered in in a mane of fiery red hair had all those implants under her skin. Gravtape to keep herself up and a dress went a long way towards enjoying some tie on the capital of the One sith and former Republic. With possible plans to the future as long as they held the world, she was enjoying it and keeping the talking lightsaber blade on her hip as the only sign of who she was helped make the riff raff stand clear.

Well that and being eight feet didn't attract attention as make others give you a wide berth, something she had learned and used with the right amount of fear from her former master Kaine. He had faked his death and brought her into the one sith with Tyrana and that thought gave her pause... a small look of longing for her apprentice who had vanished, a pang even since when the empire had collapsed she had stayed in hiding with her master infiltrating the council of sorcery and eventually through spells, disguises and some cunning the Purifier's league the group tasked with hunting her down.

That was what had led her here to Coruscant, their team had infiltrated and as the supreme she had a duty to preform... Or at least a trap to walk them into as the spell had disappeared and they realized what had happened. In celebration she had brought her people out for drinks and to get them entertainment for a job well done. She didn't even think about the seedier places just brought them here because having a district called the darkside seemed fitting, almost as fun as having districts and stops along the way for Burbank and Skywalker ranch. She didn't even notice the woman [member="Eve Amelia Zambrano"] walking around until she stopped briefly to readjust her dress and brush herself off.

She just entered the cantina and made sure there were plenty of rounds for everyone throughout the night.

With yet another sigh, Maria stepped into a nearby cantina. The place was crowded, but not unbearably, and it was probably full of outlaws, smugglers, slicers, mercenaries and whatever else. Frightening, even. This cantina could have been a great place for working, maybe she could have got a job in this place? A former Haliburton shouldn't work in such a place, but if it was the maximum she could do to earn money, she would have had to try it. But first, she wanted to drink something. Should she spend some more money to order something good? Or would she save some of it for living and just take water?

With a confident step, she walked to the bar and said, "Hi! Could I just get a glass of water, please?" Her voice was nearly emotionless, speaking of the coldness in her heart. Her pure imperial accent caused some people to turn to her and just look. Some would have wanted to hear a bit more of it. But she didn't speak more.

For that moment, though. She had noticed a huge person in the bar, who was most likely a lot taller than two metres. Gosh, she had never seen such a giant before. But she should have known Coruscants lower levels are a lot creepier than the highest ones, the ones which had been known for the government and everything. She would have given everything to live in the high levels of the planet again.

But she had no money to do that. That's why she had to earn some.

The few sounds as she sat near the counter of the bar were murmurs, they were happy to take the credits for drinks and several rounds were bought. This was a time for celebration and cheer among the rabble. They had been liberated... well taken over but the One Sith preferred order, preferred killing the troublemakers instead of locking them up for a couple of days or months and releasing them. She wouldn't say she saved them from the jedi or the Republic, she was evil, she used the darkside to bend and break the laws of nature... She wasn't like Veles who tried to play the pacifist sith and wanted everyone to hug it out.

Her eyes drifted to the others at the bar and tapping her finger on the bar the dark'chyld saber spoke. Put me up there I want to see. She rolled her eyes for a moment and unclipped the saber as the living crystal thanked and made a point of surprising those around her with a talking saber that couldn't do anything else. Balaya raised her eyebrow to while she relaxed taking a shot when the drinks arrived and making sure everyone drank when she held the glass up. "To the Dark Lord."

What?

Eve turned towards the huge person again after hearing what she had said. She had mentioned the Dark Lord, she was sure of it. Dark Lord of the Sith, perhaps? So the woman was most likely a Sith. She could never be sure about that because yeah, people seemed to enjoy the One Sith ruling over Coruscant. Calmly, the woman left her seat and started walking towards the giant. She had to know who she was and what did she know about the Dark Lord.

Eve had to join the One Sith. She felt like there was no other way.

"Hi! I do not want to sound rude, but I mistakely heard your talk about the Dark Lord. May I ask, were you talking of the most powerful Sith Lord?" she asked, again showing the Imperial accent, when she was only a few steps away from the... woman. Who was pink in colour.

Heh, interesting.

That approach, that human coming to her had been unexpected... At least willingly. With a smiling curling her lips for a moment she spared a thought someone was trying to pick up a zeltron. Have to do that it is like a rule after all and she turned in the seat holding the drink. "Yes the Dark Lord of the Sith, does that interest you? Does it make you more excited then smart not many would approach." She didn't go on about flirting it wasn't.... useful and she had never done anything with it, Kaine preferred his apprentices not to be distracted as the saber covered that base with obscenities about the woman being a sith skirt chaser.

"Shut it." Balaya turned back to the saber and slammed her fist into it to get it to stop while she offered the seat next to her with an open arm like a mentor or friend. "Come sit we can talk about what you wish to discuss." The smile now showing on her face and slightly predatory while more drinks were poured and her musing. If only everyone came so willingly. Thoughts going to the jedi who had turned only after nearly smothering himself in her chest.

With a raised left eyebrow, Eve looked at the strange duo of... a talking lightsaber (?) and a giant Zeltron. With a "Thank you!", Eve sat behind the table with her glass of water. "I do not seek to ruin your day, but I just heard how you talked of the Dark Lord and so I thought that maybe you could help me a bit. At joining the Sith, of course." She was a straightforward person who didn't play with words or anything. It wouldn't have been of a great manner to do that. Haliburtons never disobeyed the manner code.

Then she took a small sip of her water and continued.

"Would you be able to help me?"

"Yes" The smile was there but joining the sith wasn't as simple as saying 'I want in' there were some standards. She needed to see if the girl could survive or would die in her first fight. There was only one way to handle such a thing.... to bad she didn't have the chance to do what Kaine had done to her. Leave her for a month on some jungle world with basic supplies and see what she does. "I can help you join but what makes you want it? What made you seek us out? You don't feel like a jedi coming to realize the power of the darkside, you do now look like one of those new order sith or from the old empire. So what will you bring that will keep you from getting killed the first fight you have?"
