One CEO to Another

Recent history had been anything but stagnant. Ever since his introduction into the Hegemony, a whirlwind of events had transpired in the life of Arakyd's CEO. For one, he had walked away from the very culture that had reared and raised him; opting to choose his own path for once over following the whims of one weaker than he. Next, he repaired the burnt bridge with the Techno Union and now stood upon their executive council again.

Things were finally looking up, but still there was work to be done.

In particular, he had to see about arming the Vanguard: the militant group sponsored by Arakyd Industries. Dagora had heard rumors of a rather menacing piece of equipment and wanted nothing more than to see it used to assist his soldiers in achieving victory. Of course, the nature of the weapon lead it to be expensive and exclusive...so when dealing with such an item, it was best to barter with the source.

From within his office on Bothawui, the Dar'manda queued up a holo-call with one [member="Darell Irani"]. Today, Dagora would hopefully convince his fellow CEO to sign an agreement, one that would allow Arakyd Industries to arm its mercenaries with the natural evolution of a blaster.

Etti IV, the Corporate Sector was truly a bastion of commerce. It was in the Corporate Sector that Ty’rel Holdings and the other huge names of the Galaxy had settled in, protecting their own interests and making sure the CSA would still be relevant today. But Irani had made a decision, one which had ended with Ty’rel dissolving and the rise of the Saiba Group as his main entity.

In that regard they had sold off a lot of assets, assets which were being dispersed throughout the Galaxy as they spoke, but sometimes… a man gets nostalgic. This nostalgia had expanded towards his former holdings in the Corporate Sector.

Hadn’t taken too long for him to track down the new owners… they literally didn’t know what they were doing.

Two months after purchase the property had already been cut down in its worth, almost made Darell cringe in disgust. Soon after Saiba Group was once again active on Etti IV and with it the Corporate Sector.

He was sitting in his new old office, pondering if he should change the leather of his chair, when a call came through from the Techno Union. Bothawui. The CEO of Arakyd Industries was calling it seemed, Irani took the call, of course.

You always make time for the Tion Hegemony.

Mister Dagora-Kel.” Darell addressed calmly. “How can I help you today?

"Greetings Mr. Irani." began the Dar'manda, acknowledging his fellow with a respectful nod. "News has recently reached my ears of certain developments. One involves your pushing blaster technology to its very limit, and the other revolves around a recent acquisition on Rothana."

Straight to the point as usual. Dagora did his absolute best to keep himself informed about recent happenings, especially when they transpired within the Hegemony. Today, he was looking to make a pair of purchases: one of which was exponentially smaller than the other.

"As time is credits, I'll keep this brief good sir. Your corporation recently created a line of blasters that I am interested in. The line that fires bolts akin to the blades of lightsabers. I would like to place a small order of them: ten to be exact." he began. "As for the second development...I have heard that you recently acquired Rothana Heavy Engineering. There is an ancient design that I would like to purchase: that of the Acclamator I and II class Assault Ships."

"Arakyd will soon be entering the capital ship market in earnest, and I feel as though starting with these designs will be a solid start. What say you, would you be willing to sell them?"

Ten was a reasonable amount, of course it was only a precursor for me, that much was for sure. A man such as Isley Verd would not content himself with a mere ten, he wished to test them, see if they were as good as the rumors held them to be and when that was the case?

He would want more.

And Darell Irani would be happy to provide.

“Ten seems reasonable, transaction approved.” he would reply with a smile and a nod, which turned slightly more serious when the second question was asked.

The sell of a valuable schematic.

In truth Irani had been planning on producing those schematics himself, as it stood he was not exactly interested in losing that opportunity for a mere cash price. But that didn’t mean they couldn’t come to a mutually-pleasing agreement.

“I am afraid that selling them on an exclusive-basis is quite difficult for me, Mister Dagora Kel. But I would be adverse towards a non-exclusive sell.”

A little shrug.

“This would allow you to start producing ships based off this model without a problem, while giving me the option to do the same if I ever wish to do so in the future.”
