These prefabricated homes can be stacked six high in a variety of configurations to create communal spaces or extend a higher home’s balcony out. Intended to replace the often minimal post-disaster housing often put up, the Onder Pre-Fabs gained popularity among those looking for cheap, no-hassle, homes. People looking for a sturdy home on the frontier that could be expanded upon as well as those looking for vacation or rental properties bought them up alongside developers and relief organizations until the Onders could be found on nearly any planet across the Outer and Mid Rims, some even finding their way out into the Unknown Regions and Wild Space. It’s not uncommon to hook the houses up to a recycler or water vaporator to make them truly independent, though in a housing block, a central unit can be stripped out and used to support the surrounding homes.
