Mairéad stood on the rooftop terrace of her club looking out over the city, she had seen Arla's ship land not long ago and the car had gone to meet her from the shuttle port. It was nice to have her here, she had been eager to get her away from her duties on Mandalore, even just for a couple of nights.

<<When you get to the door, tell them we are booked under Mairéad>>

She quickly messaged her... girlfriend? She might need to check on that. She smirked as she took in a little more drink and listened to the Ashlan choristers in the cathedral in the city. She hadn't told Arla that she owned this place, or the actual depths of her business undertakings, that might have to come up at some point, but not right now. What she wanted was to enjoy a lovely dinner then a particular special memory experience she had picked out for the woman. During that time she hoped to find out where they were, mentally. Physically, well, Mairéad had surprised herself just how quickly she had ended up in bed with the gorgeous Rodarch woman, only the second person she had ever bedded and she already missed her company when they were following their otherwise quite separate lives.

Tonight would be fun, no pressure, a beautiful location that Mairéad felt utterly safe in. Even her baby was sleeping more soundly since she had returned to Epica allowing her five minutes of piece from the constant kicking and the associated back ache. Almost on queue the small Solus gave her kidneys a little elbow and she shifted her weight to compensate.

A chime went off in her ear to let her know that Arla had arrived and Mairéad prepared to greet her, checking her dress and her very likely soon to be smudged lipstick with a warm smile. "Showtime"

She sent a very quick and slightly more flirtatious message to the other woman for her to enjoy whilst on the stairs before placing her hollow device away.

Arla had to admit, she liked what she saw of Epica. It still felt somewhat wrong to her to be away from her Mand'alor and her duties, but Ijaat had insisted on taking some time off while she could. Mairead's invitation was enticing to her, and so she traveled to the planet, and was met at the spaceport. Mai was a somebody here, that much was certain.

She struggled a little in heels on the stairs, not having worn heels for a while, and smiling to herself at Mai's cheeky text. Arla's black dress was custom cut, allowing her to more easily conceal a sidearm within its flowing folds. She'd feel naked without at least two weapons. A stiletto was strapped to her left thigh, something for Mai to discover later, perhaps. The neckline plunged to her belly, showing off her chest. There was a scar visible there, somewhat faded, but marring the skin. For jewelery she'd opted just for a pair of aurodium earrings she'd picked up in a Keldabe market. A buckled belt at her waist completed her outfit.

The reaction to Mairead's name told Arla she was definitely a someone on this planet. Or at least in this place, the staff seemed to snap to attention and into high gear immediately, and they hadn't been slacking beforehand. Arla was quickly, efficiently, and fawnishly escorted into Mairead's presence, and before she could think, a wide smile crossed her face.

Nice place.

Arla said, trying to keep things understated, and probably failing hard. She was impressed, and not by the club. Mairead oozed femininity and looked fantastic.

"Stars you look good, Susni" Mairéad said, placing down her drink and walking across to greet her with a sparkle in her eyes. She placed her hands on the other woman's waist and kissed her with deep affection, allowing their lips and tongues to get reacquainted before finally withdrawing. "I hope your journey was pleasant. And of course that noone overthrown the protectors in your absence." she laughed and gestured to the table next to the balcony over looking the city.

"I'm glad you managed to find time to get here, its beautiful isnt it." she helped Arla to her seat before leaning down and speaking zygerrian "Mi casa es su casa, mi amor" her perfume smelled so lovely.

As soon as they sat, a waiter came out with bottles of fioran wine for them pouring a glass for each of them before placing menus on the table, the most luxurious offerings of meat, fish, pastas and other epican delicacies were on offer. The waiter was a young Twi'lek man, who on closer inspection had clear indicators that he had previously worn an excessively secure neck adornment. Mairéad was proud to offer work to former slaves and made sure they paid, and treated with the dignity that their previous lives lacked. "Ladies, the chef would like you to know that he is particularly happy with the Reindeer Al Forno this evening, and all the fish is freshly line caught locally." Mairéad gave an approving look at the man before placing her order. Then allowing Arla to speak her own piece. Under the table the echani woman would feel the most gentle stroking as Mai's foot ran gently up and down her lower calf.

"It's beautiful alright. You look pretty good yourself too, you know."

Arla enjoyed the kiss and the embrace. She'd shared something special with Mai, more than just lust, and peturbing Arla a little with how quickly she'd come to trust her. In truth she'd never been shown much kindness or interest, and it thrilled her just a little bit for someone like Mairead, who could have anything in the galaxy, to show an interest in her broken down corpse.

She shot a quick look of mock alarm and outrage at Mairead as she felt her touch. Despite that, the pleasant and familiar warm flush raced through her system, quickening her pulse and sending her heart into palpitations. Arla tried and succeeded not to grit her teeth in concentration as she forced herself to respectfully give the Maitre D her full attention.

The poor fellow looked like he was doing his very best, and Arla wanted to show him proper regard. "I would trust the chef's word in this regard." She said, holding her glass in salute. Her purple eyes sparkled with mischief at Mairead. "And I can't fault the company." This promised to be a most pleasant evening indeed. Arla forced herself to enjoy it, locking away the part of her mind that devoted to duty. She owed herself a single day of relaxation, and what better place and time for it?

"You know, i don't normally do this right?" she laughed as the waiter dropped their food and quickly left the pair, the tension between the two of them was quite clear. "Inviting political acquaintances to dine and well, you know." she blushed, it was certainly more the style of Kardek Alpha Kardek Alpha . She smirked as she thought about him and the Senator.

She ate her food and drank, watching Arla do the same, "OK, I'm just gonna ask. You and Arch, I get that it's more of an arrangement than a regular marriage, but. Hmmm, does he have an opinion on us? Do you and he...?" she didn't say the word but the way she held her glass in front of her smile and the extra long playful stroke of her toe up the other woman's inner calf made it clear that she was asking if the two rodarchs had a love life.

She laughed, "Sorry, that's a bit rude. OK, if you answer, then you get to ask me something, and I'm not allowed to lie?... oh, but it can't be about my baby.. only rule." as she relaxed in her own environment, Mairéads natural charm was exposed, and her little habits like the way she spoke with her fork would begin to surface.
