Anyway, I think we should do something to bring in the founding day. I came up with the idea of a faction tournament .. P v P with sabers across the ranks. Or maybe rather than sabers with swords, to get back to the roots of the Jedi?


And a party after ward. Might even organise rewards too.

just an idea but would love to hear if someone has a better one.

Every group has tournaments, I would want to have the party and do what we have had fun with. a faction event.

We do faction events more so than other factions, and you can now consider Dominions as faction events with the new rules, in my opinion.

I was hoping for suggestions for something we have not done. And one of them is a tournament, but as I said open to other suggestions.

Have a tournament hosted by *name of planet* to acquire publicity and do a Dominion at the same time.....

Cus I would SOOOOOO be in there.

And just a question, if we do have one of these tournaments, will hammers be allowed? or will I have to use my sabers? *I don't care. Good with any of them really*

If we do do a tournament in Dominion, then how about Santuary? that would be a good neutral place for it, and then we could go next to Drongar?

That would take in a lot of systems in that sweep.

Event Ideas:
Can even combine these if you liked any, with small spin off threads for the celebration, linked into the main thread from the first post.

Grand Opening of: Pick anything that really sums up the silvers at large, this could lead into:
A Masquerade Ball. - Anyone invited (Lightside or neutral of course, so we don't get trouble) people having to guess who each other is.

We did the celebration wedding so if you want to moved away from that for a later date:

Race Thread. - Pick something you like, vehicles, animals, whatever. Could even be multiple stages, yes we can develop our own race type/circuit etc exclusively.

Competition but not just based on saber prowess, that can be there for people certainly, but you could have riddles, or starwars trivia (ancient history for this timeline with really difficult answers), force based challenges for people if we get creative (fantastic training threads they make)

We could do a few subs for prizes.

Others:
Discovery of a planet

Unique Force Power: Development of a unique force power that all Silvers learn exclusively, something that helps definition, being a member of the faction you have access to it, while it fades with time away from our holocrons, voss or our unique planet / training centers. It could be a trip to the planet that connects us to it, the conclusion of a competition. A rite of passage or something along those lines for each silver to undergo.

I also like the treasure hunt idea, with force based challenges, perhaps with a senior member putting the challenges up that people have to solve. Could throw in the subs/ unique force power or some such for completing it, everyone involved gaining the ability or something for being there.

Also we might find something special out about voss itself, *insert creative ideas here*

[member="Kei Amadis"], A note about making a force power, We can't really make a brand new force power. However everybody can be required to learn one specific force power to be considered a true member of the order. Cool idea, but not sure on how everybody else will take it.

I was thinking as an option rather than a requirement, just a hey here is something for your rp if you like the shiny.

What you can do is shape or tint a force power. So for example, shield becomes silver shield/bubble, with smaller traits that define is as a force power for the silvers. In practical use it works the same. The shimmer or translucent edge would be silver for example, it would draw off of the connection to Voss, which plenty of powers do draw from the experiences/emotions/colors or force order of those they come from.

When you put that kind of history into a force power, especially when protecting lets say Voss itself, then you have all that to draw on when you hold up your force shield. It becomes a defining symbol of the technique.

This of course can be any power, merely an example. Visual ones work best though.

Or more simply you've got combinations - For Natol'ine what i've done is TK dart - which is her throwing her saber behind a TK attack, to smash the shields of something then pierce it with the saber.

I did too, I hope we run more from time to time, and masquerade balls are quite fun in rp threads often, you get all kinds of characters that would never meet having a chat.

Just if they are game to leave their weapons and such at the door.

Essentially yes.

If you take force shield/bubble/barrier etc, as that's the example we are running with: i've seen it played as an invisible shield, as an invisible negation of force energies, as a visible translucent barrier, as a pressure pointed stop of force energies focused at certain points, or as a battering ram of a thing that's more visible.

You get the leeway of how to play out the technique in the writing, and that generally varies writer to writer, but the technique remains the same.

If we were to take force healing as an example, its even more complicated and different writer to writer, but not to get too far off topic

Ok how about this?

Dominion: We start with the Dominion of Sanctuary, which will include the race, boats and land based events. For those wishing to participate in the races of their choosing. Those not wishing to race can go and watch and/or sight see etc.

Tournament: PvP event (this could be done on Voss or any desired location)

• Padawan v Padawan
• Knight v Knight
• Master v Master
• Open - this is a challenge event, so a Padawan could challenge a master if they wish.

As suggested, we can use force skills alongside the sabers etc. Rules to be determined and we need judges.

and finally to top it all off.

The Masquerade Ball: Here we can present the winners of the tournament and races with their rewards.

So three events for the celebrations. As I said we need judges as well and I will ask for volunteers to run the events. I am happy to lead one of them but I will let you take first pick, if anyone would like to prepare one of the events.
