Description: The concept is fairly simple. For those within the Protectorate still using slug throwers,
this weapon creates an alternative for use. Slug throwers, although some varieties have a fully automatic firing rate, lack the total power o f a regular blaster. Rail technology has the firepower, but doesn't possess the rate of fire as a blaster, or even a slug thrower. To remedy that, the use of the liquid metal material used in Spike Throwers is what's used as the source of ammunition. The material is liquid until it hits atmosphere, upon which time it solidifies to be used as the line for the Spike launcher. Allowing the user to climb from point A to point B. Both the hand blaster and rifle models operate by inserting a liquid metal cartridge fitted for use, into the weapon. When in operation the weapon pulls up a small portion of the liquid material via a vacuum into the chamber where the electro magnetic propulsion system is already in effect. The portion is then discharged at a high velocity. The vacuum feature in the weapon ensures that there are no jams in the chamber of the weapon.
