Species Knowledge: Trained to one day take up the mantle of one of Hapes' royal houses before life chose a different path for her, Olivia was trained extensively in the characteristics and practices of other species. Hapes' prominent place in the Core of the galaxy meant many ambassadors and VIP's from different worlds came calling, requiring all Hapan diplomats and royalty to be aware and respectful of an outsider's needs and culture. This translates - oddly enough - an advantage in battle, as she is well aware of many, many species physical and mental characteristics, both good and bad. This allows her to size up an opponent and make a strategy before the fight has even truly begun.

[SIZE=12pt]What Was That?:[/SIZE][SIZE=12pt] Due to her species, Olivia naturally has very poor night vision. She does just alright in cities or well-lit outdoor areas at night, but without a good source of light she’s almost completely blind after dark.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Second-Guessing[/SIZE][SIZE=12pt]: Although she has a very sure idea of her morals and ideals, Olivia is prone to second-guessing a lot of her decisions because she is afraid of making mistakes big or small. She is very, very good at beating herself up.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Flying: After losing both her parents in a starship crash and seeing their bodies in the wreckage, Olivia has a crippling fear of all things flying. This makes the travel required of a Jedi at best uncomfortable, and at worst, terrible when she has no choice but to board the most frightening craft to get where she needs to go. She has to work hard to shake it off entering battle directly after flying.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born deep in the Hapes Cluster on the planet of Hapes, Olivia was born to a family of royals of the Hapan species. A classic example of their kind, she was beautiful and intriguing since birth and only became more prized as she grew, her height an unusual but favorable trait amongst a people obsessed with beauty. Her place in society afforded her the best of education and she matured in to an extremely refined woman, groomed to take a seat of power among the matriarchal society. She had no idea of her ability to touch the Force, chalking her flashes of intuition and avoidance of danger up to great luck, as most without training do.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Although they enjoyed an elevated position, Olivia’s family was unlike most of their counterparts. The life of Hapans had mellowed considerably following the Gulag plague with far fewer assassinations of rivals, but the open violence had been replaced with backstabbing and a constant game to maintain status and power. The decision was a hard one, but eventually her parents decided to leave the planet they’d known their whole lives – it was from them that Olivia inherited her big heart and lofty ideals, two things at odds with the constantly scheming Hapan culture. They left the decision to join them up to their daughter who required almost no time to make it despite what it meant to go out in to a galaxy she’d never experienced before.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Leaving Hapes behind, Olivia and her parents struck out in to the Galaxy on their way to Onderon, hoping to find stability for themselves on the capital planet of the Republic. But they would meet with disaster along the way. Almost to their destination their ship went dark – malfunction or something darker remains to be seen – sending them plunging at terrifying speed towards the jungle surface far from any populated city on Onderon. [SIZE=12pt]Neither of her parents survived impact. And Olivia barely hangs on.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]With her parents' passing came a renewed dedication to the idealism that had called them from their home in the first place. Olivia set to her training with zeal, often striking the other Padawans as too serious. She was never critical of anyone but herself. She wanted to do well. She wanted to see good in the Galaxy. But time showed her remaining in the Republic made that impossible. It was an organization that, in her eyes, seemed bent on eating itself alive, too concerned with its own dogma to fight back against the oppression of the Sith, to work as selfless protectors when fighting for worlds to call their own.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]She drifted, searching the Galaxy for information about the Jedi she'd always believed to be true, and teaching herself where she could through reading and experience.
