SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High Output Diatium Power Cell

  • Lightsaber Resistant

STRENGTHS
  • High Power: Old Sin has been outfitted with a high output diatium power cell which gives it quite a bit more cutting power than a regular Phase-Knife. While not on the same level as a lightsaber the phase-knife is incredibly sharp and can cut through most light and medium armor without exerting itself.
  • Cortosis Resistant: Phase-Knives use a technology similar to those found in lightsabers however it is not the same and the molecular blade is not disabled by cortosis the same as the energy blade of the lightsaber is.
  • Subtle: As a Phase-Knife, Old Sin can be incredibly inconspicuous to someone who doesn't know what they're looking for. When deactivated it exists as an archaic hilt capable of fitting into the palm of its wielders hand. Unless someone knows what they're looking for it's easy to miss.

WEAKNESSES
  • Unwieldly: Like other Phase-Knives, Old Sin is difficult to wield without the proper training and misuse can cause injure or death to the wielder.

DESCRIPTION
During his time as a Raider and Marauder Sars Sarad created the Phase-Knife he came to name Old Sin. Insofar as Phase-Knifes go Old Sin is only remarkable in that it has been upgraded with a high output power cell, the type usually afforded to lightsabers which greatly amped its own power. While Phase-Knives are sharper than vibroblades on principle, Old Sin is positively lethal. Whereas a Phase-Knife normally only proves effectively against light armor Old Sin can cut through medium armor, shredding things like armorplast and durasteel though it is still unable to penetrate truly heavy armors or materials such as Beskar, Phrik, etc.

Activated Old Sin has a nine inch molecular blade. Deactivated the Phase-Knife only appears as a archaic hilt. The Hilt is also magnetized ensuring the knife cannot be dropped by accident in the midst of combat and making it difficult to disarm the wielder.
