Old Cat, New Tricks

The one problem with being a hybrid creature from an age long past: you tend to miss out on a lot. Such was Sanna’s feelings when she was finally freed from her stasis pod only a few weeks ago. This attitude however did garner some need for “airing things out”. That of course meant that the torogian-human hybrid would often act out or end up doing dangerous stunts while causing damage or getting into a lot of trouble on the Confederacy capital planet of Bothuwai.

Enough of these actions had been close calls as Sanna was usually bailed out by someone or another. But it was clear what she needed was guidance, a decent teacher not just for herself but for her force abilities. She’d wanted to be a Jedi when she was younger and in her own time, but during the Old Republic there was the Great War with the Sith Empire. As such her parents forbade her from doing so. But now that time was done and so was it the time for the Templars to gain her interest. That meant taking on a master of her own that would need to act as her guide in this time and in her abilities.

But first thing was first. Sanna needed a physical examination due to her odd hybrid appearance and because she needed to be treated after so long a stasis sleep. Of course she insisted she was fine, having been showing so for the weeks she was awake, but enough insisting will eventually make one yield.

She sat in an examination room in a hospital dress, her tail sticking out from behind, while waiting for the doctor to give her the last procedure. He’d just finished with the usual things, weight, height, breathing, and heart rate and so on. He’d even prodded around her ears and examined her eyes, making her act like an actual cat when those things happened. And of course she felt a little uncomfortable when he had to examine the more….private areas, but, again, it was necessary.

“How much longer?” she asked as the doctor was still working on something. “My new master will be here soon.”

“Patience, Ms. Legra.” He said. “The faster we see this done, the faster you’ll be on your way.” He walked behind her and said “Now, being that you’ve been in slumber for so long, you’ve not been vaccinated with some of the newer diseases that have arisen. That being things like Dagobah Whooping Cough.” He suddenly stuck a shot in her arm, making her yelp. She looked surprised and rubbed it, given how sore it felt, before he said “And Bantha Pox.” Another shot. “Hutt Malaria.” And Another. “Taun taun fever.” Another. “And finally, Gungan Flu.”

By the time he was done Sanna felt like her arms could drop off at any moment and she wouldn’t know. She sat there rubbing both of them while giving little whines in her throat. The doctor acted like it was nothing and even handed her a lollipop. She gave him a look that said she’d claw at him if he ever did anything like this again before she just stuck the sucker in her mouth.
