Pulling the trigger fires two shells through the barrels that explode midway and sent forth a splash of cryoban to freeze the enemies. After each shot, the wielder needs to pull the small lever so the shotgun could load the next pair of shells to fire. In the hands of skilled gunslingers, one could be able to pull the lever with their thumb without losing too much accuracy.
The sawn off was named after an old legend of a man named Solo being frozen in carbonite and displayed as a trophy. The little information that the young Rekali and his cousins had was that Solo was an old rival of a Fett. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a good ol' legend that most likely wasn't true, right ?
On the side of the barrel a sentence is engraved visibly: "He's no good to me dead."

Splash damage: Iago's CryoBan shotgun is made for tight quarters and fights where one is outnumbered. The shells explode into a splatter of CryoBan that has a very wide range capable of hitting numerous targets at once.
Short range: It's for close-quarters combat only. Ships, urban areas and the similar would be great for this weapon. Vast, outdoor spaces make it redundant.
Limited ammo: You've got five pulls of that trigger only till ya reload. Better make 'em count.
