Oh the fun one can have on Riflor

Optio Sargon decided he was simply in for a long boring trip from the start. He'd been ordered to escort a science mission to Riflor. Apparently it was a rich mining world but due to its location directly in-between the Fringe and Omega Pyre's claimed territory. Sargon wouldn't even pretend to be up to day or care about politics but he supposed it was something he should become aware of. Either way Riflor was located in a trinary system and its gravitational pull had been increasingly thrown off.

As such a light cruiser was being sent out with a ridiculous amount of sensors and whatever else scientist used to do some measuring or some such nonsense. Sargon's reformed company had been assigned to keep the scientist and their expensive equipment safe. The new commander Centurion Tigon was from the old company as well and so Sargon had faith that they would again be a force to be reckoned with. Of course what force they would met on this planet was questionable.

Intelligence had shown a few 'rogue' mining operations possibly pirate in nature. They were however out of range of the where the prefab science facility was set to be placed and therefor off limits. He supposed he could hope they'd attack the science facility but he highly doubted they would be gutsy enough to attack an armed base. The wouldn't have the cover of the cruiser though evidently this close to Omega territory it was more diplomatic to keep a small footprint.

They'd arrive exactly ninety days later to pick up the bade and guard and bring them back into to Fringe territory. It was going to be a long tour on the backside of a dead planet. Apparently it was a necessity though something about the gravitational effects knowledge could be used in making better ships. More words he just simply didn't understand. Luckily the prefab base had been modulated from a military one so at least it had all the necessary defenses and a gym.

Either way it simply didn't matter he was here and the whistle had sounded letting the crew know they were about to exit from hyperspace. At least he'd brought a few credits with him, some Sabacc might do him good.

Basaba Willamina

A'den and Alor be aliit Willamina
Basaba had been brought in... Why? Because of all the sisters she wasn't one to get involved in petty things. She would see what was going on and if it was dangerous well... She would shoot it. If it was anything short of a child with flowers she would still shoot it but only because she was there when the ropo infiltrated the lady protectors office. When Sarge the crazy osik left and everything else that had happened. It was a strange thing to say the least and at the moment while she looked on the ship wearing the black beskar'gam she checked her river rifle and anti force user grenades. The narcotics in them would work well if she encountered any dar'jetii. The ship came out of hyperspace and she looked upon the world heading down from the nightside (not seeing visually the fringe forces) and started to head down. Her black and polished silver helmet going over her head while the crushgaunts strained in her fists. She had her bes'bev and beskad plus the river gun. The grenades were a precaution.

The prefab base was ready for deployment and the troops were all loaded and ready. The scientist however were anything but ready. They were all running around like this was an unexpected event. Sargon simply didn't understand how such 'brilliant' people were never prepared. The company's CO Centurion Tigon had already had them check over everything before they'd even left hyperspace. Even if he hadn't his Optios would have made sure they did.

Either way they were ready now and were headed down to the surface. It was a simple procedure and before they knew it they were looking up at the sky, its three suns an impossibly odd sight to Sargon. The scientist were busy setting up their sensors and bringing the base online. The soldiers were already checking over the base's defenses and weaponry. The Centurion has already met with his Optios to discuss a duty rotation and which squad would be responsible for which section in the even of an attack. The down side was there would be no shields available for the base as the scientific equipment required an enormous amount of power.

It also didn't leave enough energy for the bases turrets to stay active, but Centurion Tigon had insisted on their presence. In the even that the turrets were needed the power would simply be transferred and the sensors shut down for the time. So at the moment each Optio was simply moving to there section and mounting heavy repeaters on the durasteel exterior walls surrounding the base. It was reliable but Sargon would have been more comfortable if the bases was at full power. As was with only one company it was at what was considered barely maned, but the amount of scientist and their equipment limited the possibilities.

They'd just started setting up the equipment when Centurion Tigon came over the comms, ::Optio Sargon, seems these sensors are some good to us. We've got readings on a possible ship landing, most likely pirate according to these panicking scientist. I want your squad on standby if it lands anywhere nearby I'll need you to do some scouting.:: Perhaps there was a chance to have some fun after all.

“Squad, I need these repeaters mounted now. Seems we may have some pirate guests for dinner.”
