His boots echoed slowly down the long hallway as air circulators cast a soft breeze around him. The slight antiseptic smell covered by the smells of scented candles and incense still tingled his senses as his long legs methodically devoured the distance to the gardens. He had been kept, partially on retainer for the last few weeks, as somewhat of an alien oddity. Perhaps the commonality of surnames was enough or perhaps it was the uniqueness of his skillset that had recommended him to the house. Regardless, he accepted it as it was for the time being.

His cloak whispered like a snake's scales through a forest's underbrush as he moved. The long shadows from the evening sun stretched long fingers down the hallway and filled the area with eerie orange light. The diligent clock. Clock. Clock. Of his hard soled shoes was the only announcement that he was coming before he stopped between two large windows to wait. He had not met any of the leaders of main family really, only some brief encounters from a distance. He wondered which one it would be that would send him to find whatever it was they needed him to find.

Elise sighed as she looked over the job she knew she'd have to do. Work. Dull, irritating, tiresome. Only so much of it could be avoided. Today was not the day for that however, at the very least. She wasn't going to do this alone. No, her guards did not count. Not that she didn't appreciate their company.

Instead, there was this individual they apparently had in employ. Surname was, amusingly, also Marr. She wasn't sure if that meant Malum thought he was related or not. Oh well, one way or another, they had work to do. She sighed as she tossed her two lightsabers on her belt. For now, leaving her armor. Really she didn't need it in most fights, in truth, she treated it more like an environmental suit than a genuine armor. But it was also good for if she had to look like a sith of house Marr. Much like the standard lightsaber with her. It wasn't her true weapon of battle, that was the other one. It was really more her...civilized tool. For training, or illumination in dark places.

Instead, she dressed in a very non sith way, a set of pants, red button up shirt, jacket, some jewelry. None of the bravado of a noble, none of the menace of a sith. Nor any of the walk of either. At best she could be mistaken for a somewhat casual office worker or businesswoman. The norm for her. So she sought out the man that would help her in a search. Her own senses in the force were actually pretty good, her enhancement of her physical senses were even better. But it wasn't easy for a member of a human race to mimic the level of force sight something like Mornhun had by nature. And harder to keep up with them when they continued to delve into investigatory force skills.

And there he was, standing in front of the windows. She was curious if windows even meant anything to him, thin sheets of glass or transparisteel. Where they any different from a thin sheet of permacrete? "Mornhun?" she asked as she approached, immediately tossing the datapad at him. Curious if he could read it or would even try to. Also curious if he would catch it or let it just clatter. Then providing a smile before it reached him "Want to go on a trip?"

He had felt her approach and repressed the fear inducing pheromones that had been implanted in his body when he was so violently transformed. Her casual steps reached him a few moments after the scent of her darkside aura. She soon appeared down the corridor and approached. He remembered a time, when he would have stared at her presence in the force and examined the intricacies of her force signature. He would have methodically analyzed the way the force moved and interacted with the woman and tried to understand the subtleties of who she was.

He did none of those things as she moved directly to him and spoke to confirm his name. He looked at her with his eyeless gaze and shot up a hand to intercept the datapad she casually tossed at him. He narrowed his focus on the pad and with some minor effort examined the details of its contents before he turned his eyeless face toward her and tossed the datapad back. He had once been conscious of his lack of eyes and vestigial patches where somewhere in his species ancient past they had once possibly had eyes. He had worn a simple yet attractive head covering of greens and blues with silver embroidery. However, in his life now the fear of his visage was more beneficial and what use did a monster have with beauty or kindness. He was little more than a twisted shell of his former self now filled with darkness and maliciousness by evil hands that wrought monsters for no other reason than to see if they could.

"Want to go on a trip?"

He nodded once in acknowledgment as he continued to face her, one hand on the pommel of Thrakkan'dar, his sith sword.

"Very well." He rasped through his pale lips before lifting his black hood to hide his skin from the light outside. "Ready, lady Marr."

She watched him as he looked over the datapad, curious how effective that sight was at discerning the data on it about what they were looking for before catching it when he tossed it back. She was almost curious about trying to use the force for all her senses for a time, maybe she'd give that a shot some day. She normally wasn't one to experiment but it was at least something to do. Would likely not help her much in combat, but it could be good for other things.

The lack of eyes was certainly an odd attribute, but it was hardly the worst thing she'd seen. And she was so used to being around alien beasts for training that on it's own it wouldn't be enough to put her ill at ease. Since he had suppressed his glands she at least didn't have to worry about resisting that.

She noted the sith sword he had his hand on too, a practical weapon. She did prefer her own saber, it had as much the weight. But she still aknowledged that a traditional sword had plenty of uses. For one, the lack of any energy signature meant they couldn't be so easily tracked. There was also far less maintenance concerns, especially if it was an alchemic blade. But she was never an alchemist herself, and so didn't bother with them.

She shook her head at him for using Lady made, smiling and waving her hand away at it, "Oh please. Just say Elise for now. Don't feel like hearing Lady Marr the entire time. If you're worried about saying it in public or something, that's whatever. But I don't care for it." she told him looking over the datapad and placing the edge of her thumb between her teeth, "So, the lightsaber of Visas Marr. Miraluka woman, like you. You're the tracker of the two of us, any tricks of the trade beyond just seeking out the information source?"

"So, the lightsaber of Visas Marr. Miraluka woman, like you. You're the tracker of the two of us, any tricks of the trade beyond just seeking out the information source?"

He cocked his head in thought. His long black hair spilled from his hood onto his shoulder as he considered the answer to her question.

"I would need to be closer for my particular talents to be efficient, Elise." He said calmly, his rasping voice just above a whisper, "Even hunting dogs need a scent."

He turned and looked down the hallway and then turned to face her again.

"And the interference here is less helpful than other places. We should get closer to the information source and I can narrow our search considerably." He turned and pulled his cloak around him as if warding off the cold. He would have never mingled with these people in his youth. Before the Sith lord had twisted him. He would have been beneath their notice at all if not for his species.

"Visas Marr is likely an ancestor but who can say?" He said as he lead the way to the landing pads or hangers he hadn't paid close attention when he was brought here, "But this is the first time I've heard the name beyond list of notable Miraluka that was tossed around in primary school. And that was a very long time ago."

"Eh, well, guess that's where we were going to start anyway." she said with a shrug about even hunting dogs 'needing a scent' that was accurate in her case too. Her ability to enhance her own senses was extreme, but there needed to be something to pick up first. That said, those were physical senses, and instincts. He filled in the gaps she lacked in the searching department.

She spun the datapad on a finger and would begin to walk with him to the hangars,
"Could be an adoption issue too. Or assumed name. Or total coincidence. Then again, how much does it really matter?" she prompted, using her free hand to keep the datapad spinning on her other as they moved on, "Unless there's some kind of blood-spell or genetics something, anything else is basically just perception."

Not an outright statement that she believed her own families claim to Marr's bloodline didn't make much difference, but it was on her mind. She thought the same of all the others. It was just a bloodline. Though, personally, she did actually believe it in her families case. Whether or not that meant anything about being owed nobility though was a different question
