"Yeah well you need some where to rest your ind and soul as well as your body. Might as well be a pretty paradise away from the horrors. Living constantly with in it will destroy you sooner... You should take time to rest when you need it. You're no good to any one if you aren't in working condition.... if you want to automate the farming then that's fine I guess... "

Ko knew he couldn’t really rebuke what the two of them were saying. His mind knew that they were right yet that emotional side of him didn’t quite want to accept it. “I know what I need, guys… I just don’t believe it’s what I deserve.” Hearing himself say that out loud made Ko realize that he was sounding more like a bitter and stubborn Kel Dor than a jedi. Someone more like his uncle, just as Braze mentioned.

Taking a deep breath through his mask. He had no desire to end up as some drunken curmudgeon.

But when Loomi asked her question Ko froze slightly, feeling as though a bluff of his was called. He felt his brief hesitation may have told them all that they needed to know. “I’d like to think that I would, but I have a bad habit of keeping those things to myself.” The Kel Dor said truthfully. He tended not to share his concerns and troubles until after he’s already thought through or ruminated on them.

However, now it feels different. He’d been overwhelmed with grief and guilt and wasn’t sure even where to start in processing all of it beyond dedicating himself to tackling any and all problems he could. Misusing his sense of duty and responsibility as a workaholic escapism from his own issues until it eventually caught up to him like his outburst on Xa Fel.

Straightening his posture some Ko spoke. "How about I work out some kind of compromise, some restrictions to keep from pushing myself too hard. Like a more rigid schedule for me to follow. Such as a certain amount of hours per standard rotation dedicated rest and even recreation." Saying that outloud made it sound like he was giving himself some sort of professional work schedule. Which didn't quite feel appropriate for Jedi duties but it could be a start for course correcting his behavior.

"I can't decide that for you. I'm not your mom," Loomi teased, managing a more playful tone. "Buuut... that sounds like something that might do you some good. At least something to to make sure you can recover your energy... because you do deserve it. Even if you feel you don't."

All beings deserved basic needs. Even terrible ones. Ko was about as far from terrible as one could get. He was being far too hard on himself.

"It would make me very happy if you did that."
