Eshan
Braze had not been to Eshan since he was little more than a babe in arms. Today, he returned for the grand opening of a new fashion boutique.

His love for beautiful clothing and refined aesthetics had long since caught the attention of others. Over time, people began seeking out his eye, his guidance, and his help in finding the look that would let them shine.

Braze was generous with that gift. Whether it was helping someone choose a cut that flattered them best, a color that suited them, or an outfit that made them feel truly special, he was always willing to lend his hand.

What began with friends soon reached notable figures as well, until the attention became impossible to ignore… a rising fame he had never chased, born simply from his love of the art and the care with which he presented himself. In many ways, Braze had become a living expression of it.

Opening a boutique to showcase some of his own creations had become the natural next step. Today he had scheduled a meeting with Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory to come see him in person to address her desire for something nice.

Eloise found the idea of Braze designing an outfit for her simultaneously funny and intriguing. It certainly wasn't something she would've entertained a couple of years ago, but things had changed. She was more open to the idea now.

Walking into the boutique, she took the time to look over some of the creations on display, nodding in approval at some and shaking her head at others. Her personal style was fairly particular, though she lacked the vocabulary to convey what she liked.

Approaching Braze next, she smiled. "Congratulations on becoming a small business owner, Braze. Are you open to commissions?"

Oh, this was gonna be fun.

The boutique held many creations in a similar fashion to the [wardrobe] he had designed for Iandre Athlea Iandre Athlea ; various fine silk robes, as well as sturdier yet fashionable outfits made for practical everyday use and athletic performance.

There were sections devoted to bolts of cloth and specialized materials, including rare silks gathered from across the galaxy, as well as unusual newer textiles in Krillium Silk, Duraleather, Armorhide, Stoneweave Canvas, Stonewashed Linen, Softspun Duracotton, Moochi Mink, and Puff Plush Fleece, all available on display so clients could look them over and feel each fabric for what it was.

He himself had chosen a slightly understated favorite of his own making, something that carried a touch more flair than the typical casual attire he would normally choose.

He had just finished setting out a large bowl filled with lemon drops and other special candies, free for any guests to partake. It was an assortment of lemon, orange, pomelo, and other citrus flavors that Kaito Starfall Kaito Starfall had made for the occasion upon request. He looked over as the entry bell chimed gently and saw someone unexpectedly familiar step into the establishment.

A smile spread across his face.

"Well hello there~ Welcome to the Boutique's grand opening, Eloise. And yes... I am, in fact, open for commissioned pieces. I have a special for the grand opening, for this month only, so you are in luck. What were you in the market for? Something for an up coming event? SOmething more casual or even something with a sleek buissness look?"

Returning home had been, a choice. A friend from his military days in the Confederation of the Six Sisters had told him there was work on offer suitable for a privateer. The job had been a little too easy, a little too lucrative, and on some digging, he'd discovered his Mother's influence behind his friend's recommendations putting Corvo and his little band forward. All in his best interests of course. He'd taken the news about as well as he could, finishing out his obligations, taking the money, and declining a follow-on contract while citing prior obligations.

Flush, and looking for something to cheer himself up with, Corvo strode up the avenue. He didn't have any particular place in mind, more watching people out shipping and ducking into interesting looking stores. He'd progressed though several stores without buying anything when Braze's grand opening sign caught his attention, thinking some cherry couturier might be just the thing, he stepped in.

The young attendant showing off his ankles was busy with another customer, so Corvo wandered the displays and racks a bit until coming across the shop's female assistant. "Hi there," He said with a smile and some cheer. "I was hoping you could help me with putting together a new outfit. Long Damask jacket, open silk shirt, not sure on the pants, maybe a breech cut, I like my boots."

"Definitely not business wear," Eloise replied with a chuckle. "But I am looking for something more polished."

She pulled out her datapad and pulled up an image of a runway model, which she then showed to Braze. "Do you think you can make something similar to this, but with the top and pants not so see-through, and not as much... texture?" She gestured with her free hand, seeming to indicate she thought the fabric of the model's outfit would be rough to the touch. Probably because of all the metallic and sparkly accents woven into the cloth. "I don't want anything itchy or scratchy or uncomfortable on my skin."

Turning to face the garment rack, she felt around the clothes hanging there until she found one made of moochi mink. "Something more like this," she said, grabbing a mink sleeve and holding it up.

Braze curiously studied the image she had provided. No kidding… the whole ensemble had been built around textures meant to catch the eye and hold it.

“I could certainly try my hand at a similar style. Do you like the color?” he asked, his tone touched with interest.

She had a very distinct palette to work around; her hair and eyes all but demanded the use of green with violet. It was striking… not the easiest pairing, though that was part of its charm. In the right balance, those hues could feel rich and refined, almost jewel-like, with the green lending life and brightness while the violet brought depth and luxury. Mishandled, it could turn loud; done well, it became far more memorable.

“I could line the coat with mink, and maybe the pants as well, though that would certainly keep you warm. I have a body mesh material in mind that might work better for the pants; it uses layered mesh in its construction, so it would be more breathable. I think the mink would go beautifully with the coat, though. What’s the overall direction you want the outfit to take? Which of your beautiful qualities do you want it to emphasize most?” he selected some of the body glove material to show her his idea for pants linning.

He glanced toward the attractive Echani who had entered and nearly did a triple take before catching himself. It would not do to stare, to gawk, or to be so undignified as to need to scrape his jaw from the floor. He blinked quickly, then returned his attention to Eloise with a smile.

The assistant was a tall, slender Echani woman with a regal disposition and long, elegant silvery hair touched with the faintest cast of lavender.

“Hello, and welcome to the boutique, good sir. My name is Juniper. Is there anything I may assist you with today?” she asked, stepping forward to attend to his shopping needs.

She listened carefully to his request and smiled. “Yes, of course, that is certainly something our designer can handle,” she offered gently as she began to jot down a few notes along her wrist. “Are you looking for something for a special occasion, or something more suited to formal events in general?”

She guided him toward one of the few open-air sitting areas and gestured toward a plush blue velvet-lined couch. “Please, take a seat, sir.”

“I could certainly try my hand at a similar style. Do you like the color?”

"I do," Eloise replied with a nod of her head. "I like the overall vibe too. Kind of witchy without going too primitive." By which she meant that the clothes still looked modern rather than medieval.

“I could line the coat with mink, and maybe the pants as well, though that would certainly keep you warm. Eloise was so focused on examining the mesh and considering what she wanted that Braze's compliment almost went unnoticed. Almost. She looked up at him sharply, a bit of a blush coloring her freckled cheeks. He thinks I'm beautiful? Did I hear that right?...

But before she could even think of a response, Braze became distracted. She turned, following his gaze to an Echani woman who was assisting another customer, an Echani man. Which one he was gawking at was anyone's guess. Eloise's expression pinched in annoyance as Braze finally turned his attention back to her with a boyish grin. Should've known better than to even entertain the thought.

"Polished casual. Something I can wear out, or at home. The top and pants should work with or without the coat." She answered his question, then smirked. "I'll let you decide which of my 'beautiful qualities' should be emphasized."

Taking the offered seat, Corvo spread his arms across the back of the velvet couch. "Lounging around and looking indolent mostly, I have someone to scandalize." He drawled with a sardonic grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Though I suppose some formal wear would be useful in business matters. Nothing breeds success like appearing successful."

He kept his manner laid back, his marked disinterest like an armor against the regal femineity of Juniper. He was a man that wouldn't jump for a woman no matter Echani tradition. He was his own. "Nothing too restrictive either, I still practice." Meaning Echani martial arts. From across the room and conversing with Juniper, Corvo barely registered Braze's distraction as anything other than a movement by an attendant curious about a customer entering the store before returning to the customer in front of them.

The half-Echani looked Eloise over at the suggestion that he should decide what features ought to be emphasized. She was tall, with an athletic build and a toned physique. Long violet hair and vibrant green eyes sat beneath shapely brows, with high cheekbones and an angular, sharp jawline. In all respects, as far as Braze could tell, she was an amazonian beauty.

Braze moved to pick up the bowl of sweets, holding it up toward her as he offered the candy. "Care for some lemon drops?" he asked gently before moving toward a separate seating area, choosing one of the seats lined in black velvet and gesturing for her to take a seat and join him.

He moved to a small stand, something like an elegant repulsorlift hoverdesk he could shift around as needed, with a large tablet placed on top of it. He picked up a gigipen and opened a program, looking rather intensely at her. "Take a seat and relax. I'll see what I can sketch out. First, I'll need a nice base idea of what you look like," he mused aloud.

He focused on blocking out her stern facial features, the fierce expression, the sharp brows, high cheekbones, and angular jawline, along with her tall athletic frame as he began to block in shapes and colors. He sketched gently, though quickly, glancing back and forth between the terminal and her visage, rather intently focused on the task and on capturing a quick idea of her likeness and form.

He worked in quick layers and added some light semblance of modesty over his rendition of her figure in the sketch. He etched down the design quickly from memory of the image, blocking out a fluffy silhouette for the coat before trying a more modest approach to a beaded top design similar to the image she had shown him.

Once he had made a few small changes here and there, Braze turned the screen so she could take a look at them.

"A muted green could work for the coat, but personally I would choose black. It is neutral, easier to pair with other ensembles regardless of color, and it would make your long hair appear even brighter.

As for emerald and violet as a palette, there is a simple rule to it… if the green is vivid, let the violet run deeper. If the violet is bright, mute the green slightly. If both tones are dark, add a pale neutral so the design has room to breathe. Your eyes are very vibrant, and so is your hair… I think the rest ought to be chosen with some restraint, so those features remain the focus. Your eyes are the smaller note of color beside the sweep of your hair, so a jeweled neckline and earrings would help guide attention back toward your face... eyes are the windows to the soul so it's always good to draw attention back to your face. "

He looked over the sketch before doubling it and doing a few more small changes on the new one next to the original making changes before her eyes so she could watch the process.

"Instead of carrying a matching hand warmer, we could make the ends of the sleeves puffier, which would free up your hands. We could add further interest by letting parts of the belt fall into a faux waterfall skirt at the back, while a cascading ribbon effect in the front counterbalances a beaded accent piece.

Overall, I think layered mesh paneling, a finer mesh, and a micro-knit beneath the sheer fabric would make the whole design much less revealing while still keeping it breathable… and more durable as well. Those layers would reinforce the more delicate, ornate fabrics on the outer layer, giving them stronger structure to rest on without sacrificing comfort.

Setting the fringe on the top a little higher above the waist would also add a more sensual quality to the waistline because of the movement it creates.... I an add pockets to the pants too if you like and put a ton on the coat. "

Braze loved having secret pockets hidden all over his person and presumed she might like those features as well. "What do you think?"

Juniper's smile deepened with the kind of delight reserved for an interesting challenge. "Oh, darling, nothing too restrictive is hardly a burden, it is an invitation... If your intention is to lounge about and scandalize, then we ought to make certain you do so impeccably. There is no sense in appearing careless when one might just as easily appear untouchable."

Her pen moved in neat little strokes across the page before she glanced back up at him.

"Now then… are there any other particular colors you would like included, or shall I choose what suits you best?"

It was rather surprising to end up with an Invite from Braze Braze in regards to the new High Couture company the young one seemed to envision launching, but perhaps even stranger and maybe a bit annoying was the location of the invite. Eshan was located in the Mandalorian Empire's territory and even though she had managed to sort of mitigate some tension between the company she was running and the mandalorians, it was still a tough call. However, there were no limitations put on her, unlike other people...so if she just went to this invitation purely as herself and in no further capacity, she'd be fine.

It was with this in mind, that all Amalia did was traverse from Corvus to Eshan, just utilizing a simple shuttlecraft rather than any expensive yacht, as there was little to no need to be utilizing any expensive and impressive machinery when the importance was getting her hands on one of Braze Braze 's latest creations.

Apparently, her tardiness came with the result that at the grand opening of this new shop, this beginning of what Amalia was certain of to be the start of a whole line of shops, had caused her to be too late and upon her arrival, she could see that there were already multiple others surrounding the designer. Shrugging slightly, Amalia raised a hand, calmly waving towards Braze Braze as she approached. Unlike before though, she wasn't wearing some expensively coutured dress, but a more tightfitting, sleek pants suit with a black turtleneck, having tied her hair into a loose pony, she basically looked more relaxed compared to the festival. "Apologies for the late arrival... border checks were... a mess."

Braze didn't say anything in response. Instead he just stared at her, evidently studying her features. Eloise was admittedly a little awkward under his gaze, avoiding eye contact with him as he scrutinized her form.

He may have noticed her discomfort, because he offered her a piece of candy. She took one of the lemon drops, a bit skeptical - and was surprised when they actually tasted good. Much better than the usual processed slop found at convenience stores. Sucking on the candy, she followed him over to the stand, taking a seat as he sketched her on his tablet.

Eloise had her finer points, but she wouldn't be considered all that beautiful by most human standards. There was a harshness to her face in the sharpness of her eyebrows and jaw, and especially in her deep-set eyes and fierce gaze. These traits set her apart, made her unique - but they didn't make her conventionally attractive. Despite donning cropped tops that showed off her abs and short sleeves that exposed her muscular arms, Eloise wasn't immune to being self-conscious about her body. Not because she was ashamed to be tall or strong, but because she felt like it sometimes gave people the wrong impression about who she really was.

As Braze showed her his sketch, she had to admit he'd done a good job capturing the vibe of the original inspiration - and making her look hotter than she actually was. At his suggestion she go with a black coat, she shook her head. "I like the dark green better. Black is boring." In fact, Braze seemed to want everything about the outfit to be darker and more muted. She shrugged. "As long as there's still some color." She didn't want to look like a Sith.

He wanted to change some other details too, which she didn't care as much about. (Apart from the addition of pockets, to which she nodded more enthusiastically.) She nodded along in acceptance of his vision, her attention drawn to another customer who entered the shop. Some goth lady. Apparently she had an appointment with Braze.

"Well, if you don't need me for anything else, I guess I'll get going," Eloise said, standing up. She didn't want to take up too much of his time, especially if there were others waiting to see him.

Corvo stayed lounged back as he thought things over, he didn't think Juniper meant having a restrictive outfit wasn't a burden, but rather making one unrestrictive would be easy, she just went about saying it in a weird way, he certainly wasn't putting an invitation out there. "Untouchable sounds good." He finally agreed. "As for colors, let's stay away from red and gold, it reminds me of upholstery and curtains. Blue with gold damask patterns might be acceptable, as would a smoke and silver color. Green would be another color I'd like to stay away from." He added as he stood and began taking his jacket off. "Will you be using a scanner or tape to measure?"

"I think I have enough information to make something you'll like… and perhaps a gift or two besides. I will need your measurements, though. You can send them to me, unless you'd rather I take them myself." He smiled as he scooped up a small handful of sweets and held them out to her, the offering touched with the unspoken notion that she should take a few more for later.

"We've both but I do believe the standard of using a Tape tends to come out a little nicer over all~" Juniper stated simply moving to select one of each and holding them out as if expecting him to pick one.

A second assistant greeted Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory , " Hello and welcome ma'am. That's alright would you like to take a look around or shall I start by taking down your preferences and measurements?" He was a young Echani male slight of build with some shimmery eye makeup.

"I think I have enough information to make something you'll like… and perhaps a gift or two besides. I will need your measurements, though. You can send them to me, unless you'd rather I take them myself."

"A gift or two besides?" Eloise echoed. She considered his words a moment, and seemed to decide that she might as well get it over with. "All right," she agreed. "Take my measurements now."

She followed his orders, standing up and lifting her arms to that he could wrap the tape measure around her form. When the process was finished and she was preparing to leave, Braze offered her a handful of the lemon drops. She paused, studying his face, before smirking and taking the candies from him. "Thanks. How much do I owe you?"

"Nothing much… if you insist on a proper price, a custom design, materials, fitting, and finishing would come to eighteen hundred credits." A coy little smirk curved at his mouth then, his gaze lingering on her a moment longer. "Though… should you feel inclined to spare me a sparring session somewhere down the line, I could be persuaded to consider the matter settled."

Eighteen hundred credits?!

Eloise's eyes widened. That much for just one outfit? Custom or not, the price was outrageous. She'd asked him for a nice coat, shirt and pants, not to design her damned wedding dress. Clenching her jaw, she was about to give Braze a stern talking-to when he smirked and offered an alternative form of payment.

"One sparring session, and you'll give it to me for free?" She crossed her arms. "What's the catch?"

Grinning to Juniper, Corvo undid the ties around his wrists that held his sleeves closed. "I'll take the tape." He said, knowing that its accuracy was a lie compared to a scan showing every digital inch of his body. But that could also leave records behind if his name were attached to the file. Shucking his shirt revealed broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a physique sculpted by martial arts since childhood. Honed by the best tutors and shaped by the Navy to withstand hard burns and physical labor.

Braze kept the same smile. "There is no catch. All I ask is the privilege of witnessing your combative prowess personally," he chirped.

For an Echani, martial skill was never some passing interest. It sat close to the bone, bound up in blood, custom, and identity all the same; and though Braze was only half-Echani, that inheritance had settled deep within him all the same, no less rooted than it was in his full-blooded kin.

He fully intended to hand-stitch the beadwork for the bodice. Work of that sort would usually command a rather pretty sum, though whether Braze might secretly enlist the Force to guide the needle was harder to say.

Juniper opened her small fan and lifted it to her mouth, taking a brief moment to compose herself. "Oh my… well... why aren't you an eager one?" she asked, her tone kept neat and professional despite the faint flush touching her face. "Perhaps this would be better discussed in private. Would you care to step into one of the booths with me?"

Braze nodded with a smile. " It's a deal. I'll arrange a location once my work is done and you've approved of the quality. " Braze stated gently. " Happy to do business with you~" He chirped offering her an odd sort of cordial sort of bow.
