Of a Rebellious Nature [Ask]

The Crossfire Hurricane, an old beaten up Interceptor is running low on fuel. Lylin, had left her home planet of Kiffex to set off for a new adventurous life, her destination? well.. New Plympton to start, but from there, she would just "wing it", through the galaxy to see where the Fates would lead her. It was always going to be a push to make it Teyr for refueling .. with this ship only have a weeks supply of consumable and fuel, so she looked at the indicators keenly.

She had only moments to go before exiting hyper and she would make her way to the nearest starport. She had credits enough, but not time, she just hoped she would not run into trouble.

The ship pulled out of hyper, sending her back pressing against the cockpit seat with the usual jolt. Immediately, the alarms sounded, a cacophony of noise split her ears, red lights flashing, low fuel levels... however, the scanner blinked it's warning to, she had not expected this. The cockpit filled up with a flash of light as a laser bolt barely missed her port side. She banked hard right ... I don't have time for this, or the fuel.

She needed to get out of there, and to ground as soon as possible, a dog fight simply was not possible.

Venom was doing his daily sith life... this time hunting down a Jedi, the usual. But this one he could not let him escape. He had stolen sensitive information that belonged to him, and he would not have someone do that. So he hunted him down half a galaxy, or at least it seemed like and finally he got near the Jedi, close enough to shoot him down. Problem is... In that moment a ship came out of hyper and the laser bolt almost hit it. Not to mention the ship itself. Venom steered the ship fast to avoid collision and was barely successful. An annoyance he did not need. But he was to busy to care.

Venom continued flying towards the Jedi, laser bolts and a few missiles... And there it goes. A missile that the Jedi could not avoid, and there it went, falling down to the surface of the planet. Would he be dead? It was time to check the crash site and retrieve the information. But the problem was the treaty. The Empire and the Republic were at peace at the moment. And if word got out that a Sith killed a Jedi, and there were witnesses, there could be a problem... So Venom turned his ship back and towards the unwelcome surprise. The ship that just came out of hyper. Without warning he opened fire and hunted the ship down... It shouldn't be too dificult, a ship that old was not going to last long.

Daxton was watching everything with impassive eyes as he piloted his cloaked ship. He had been discretely trailing the Jedi, waiting for the perfect spot to ambush the Jedi and see what prizes he could loot from the cool corpse. If he could restart a war between the Sith and Republic, so much the better.

There was just one small problem, he needed a Sith to pin the blame on. When the other ship began attacking the ancient ship, he couldn't find a more perfect situation. Now he had a witness, flipping his cloak off, he fired his quad linked ion cannons along the entire length of the sith vessel as he materialized in normal space.

Deionization would cause the systems of the targeted ship to shut down, until the effects could be removed. By the time anyone rescued the Sith, he would be long gone along with his prize, assuming anyone bothered to in the first place.

"Crossfire Hurricane, this is the Judgement of Ares," using one of the false registries for his ship, as he hailed the old ship on subspace comms. "Are you ok?"

Lylin saw the downed ship plummet to the planet surface, her scanner reading indicated the ship that fired the shot now turning its target lock on her ship. She started her ship, on a hard left to try and shake the lock, when another blast zipped past her ship. This shot not aimed for her, but the other, disabling it if successful. Her eyes raced over the control panel and the indicators, not only is the fuel levels dropping rapidly, but now too her air supply.

"Crossfire Hurricane, this is the Judgement of Ares .. are you ok", came a hail from the heroic ship. The voice gravelly and deep.

"I am fine, but need to get planet side, running low on fuel and air". She replied quickly. With that she engaged the sublight engines and started her descent to the nearest starport. "Thanks for you help!".

Somewhere off in the darkness of space,
There laid peacefully the ghost ship frigate the Young in Spirit, its dark, ghostly hull blended into the background of vacuum, the space itself cloaking.
It was far from where the skirmish happened, however, thankfully to long range scanners and broadcasts, it was able to pick up traces of the fight.

On the surface of the planet,
Sammo walked stalls and venders around the spaceport, looking here and there, thrift shopping really, just wandering aimlessly until his comm beeped, it was one of his droid crewman
"Captain, we have picked up traces of a skirmish in the system, nearby planet, faint recording available for you to see. Three ships involved, one Interceptor of older make, a fighter with Sith markings, and what appears to be a some sort of stealth fighter."
Sammo raised a brow at the transmission, responding back
"Rather vague, how did it go?"
The commlink beeped back in turn
"Sith fighter fired upon the old interceptor, the stealth fighter appeared and fired back upon the Sith."
Sammo nodded
"Ooookay, send me the files you have, I'll have a look over it, relay me to the interceptor person."

And soon, Lylin would receive this message on her own, special, encrypted channel
"Howdy-doodly, Old Interceptor, this is Captain Sammo of the Young in Spirit, a ship that never was, and if you ever mention its existence, I will deny it, but I am the Captain of it, oui?"
After this cryptic statement there came more
"It seems to me that you attracted quite a bit of attention in this cold vacuum, Old Crappy, I would offer you shelter and fuel on my ship, but it does not exist, until I'll say it does, besides, I am currently on the planet's surface, and I would rather not leave you in hands of my skeleton crew."

Another ship joined the fun but unfortunately not on Venom's side. He fired upon his vessel but luckily Venom was accompanied by his HK droid, who was faster at piloting the ship than Venom was. With some moves, the ship dodged the ion blasts, except one, hitting one of the engines. Venom activated the secondary ones but it wouldn't be the same. They just lost precious speed, something he would need in this fight. But still he had something to do, take down the old interceptor, and have some payback of course.

Venom fired back at the "hero" at least to keep him out of Venom's reach. With that in mind most of the blasts were directed at the engines. An eye for an eye. Whether he would be successful or not in hitting him did not matter. After firing some shots and one missile he moved towards the old interceptor, down to the starport.

She half paid attention to the unusual message that came through form This Captain Sammo. The majority of her attention is on the very alarming fuel gage, come on come on, she encouraged her ship into starport.

"Captain Sammo? Thankyou for the find offer, I will be landing soon", she hoped. "But I just need to refuel and I will be on my way". She added. However, checking her scanner, she noticed the ship that had fired on her, following her down to ground. She frowned at this, what had she done to tick this person off?

The ship started to shake violently, but the landing pad is well in reach. Holding the controls hard, she touched down with a thud. Quickly she popped the cockpit canopy and jumped out. Standing on the wing looking up she could just make out the ship following her.

"I got a bad feeling about this", she whispered to herself.

When his target peeled away from the old freighter and engaged him, Daxton shook his head at poor display of tactics. Not only was he going to loose velocity but he was now going to engage the more tactical agile vessel, one that could more than easily prove to be a bigger threat since he could fight back.

His attacker fired wildly, almost without style or precision. It was easy for Daxton to determine that his enemy was trying to disable his own engines. Not that would pose any threat to his shields, so Daxton took the hits so that he could close in on his prey.

The cockpit rocked as the blasts grazed his energy field, a warning light flashed showing that shield strength was down 60 percent. With a flick of his fingers, he reduced power from his engines and boosted his shields until they hovered in the upper 80s.

Coasting on his own built in speed, he ignored the missile that the pirate fired at him since he had already entered the arc prior to its tracker activating. Now he was in killing range of the pirate as he considered his options.

He could fire link the two plasma cannons or fire a missile of his own, but that might destroy his prey. That wouldn't do, he wanted to leave a nice tidy package for whoever would go look for the Jedi.

No, he would have to rely on his ion cannons instead. Flushing half the power from his life support, he boosted the power cycles for his ion cannons to increase their output. Taking aim at the swerving enemy fighter, he waited until he got it in his sights and poured shoot after shoot of ionized energy into its bulk. Each round that hit, caused electronic gear on board to overcharge with the usual catastrophic effects. It wasn't like he could miss that often since he was using the Force to guide his aim.

Already slowed down, the more hits the enemy ship took the more vulnerable it would be. A smart man would break contact and try to escape into hyperspace. An idiot would try to stay and fight. What kind of man his prey was would be seen in the next few seconds of combat.

It was not that hard to spot the action, an older interceptor and a fighter swooping it behind it, chasing to finish its kill.
"I got a bad feeling about this", Lylin whispered to herself.
"I'll say."
Came a voice from behind her, she would see an aging man in nerf leather jacket and simple, comfortable clothing. He smiled to her and looked up at the Sith ship
"Looks like quite a pickle."
He gave her a faint salute
"Captain Sammo, of the Spirit, and right now, it looks like you need a friend."
He looked back to the Sith fighter, sending out a signal to any Rebel allies nearby, signal which would be amplified by his frigate

He looked back to Lylin
"I believe the proposition used in times like this is 'Come with me if you want to live'?"

Lylin turned her head as the man spoke, an older man with a kind face. She sighed, "It seems you are right", she continued as she jumped down off the ship's wing. "But I don't know why they are after me".

She walked over to him and smiled. "Lead the way, I am a stranger here, so I don't know my way around", she was putting a lot of faith in this man, she just hoped it was not misplaced. "I am Lylin Osh from Kiffex".

"Where the hell am I.... I must have taken a wrong turn at..." Mirshen trailed off as he looked around turning on his heels several times. The map he had bought from that blind guy leading to secret buried treasure was totally not working. Oh he was going to have to find him and use these Baktoid designed handguns only 49.99 at local retailers near you. The rest of the area was a mess but then he was someone and his jaw dropped as much as it could behind the red glasteel helmet . His hands went to the iron skin suit checking the holsters of his hands guns. The grenades and special permacrete explosive burrito he had made with the former Lady protectors cooking travasties. "Hey are you an angel?"

She looked around at the new comer, dressed completely in a red suit of some kind. She had never seen anything like it before and she just stood here staring at the man. Not only that he was armed to the teeth, a scary sight to behold really. Her eyes went wide as he spoke.

She pointed to herself, unsure if he was meaning her.. "Me? ... hmm well no", she was not sure of his question, "I am not Diathim". She had hear of the beautiful angel of Iego, but had never seen one. In fact she has not seen much at all in the Galaxy. This was indeed turning out to be an adventure for the young girl who just left home.

"Do the Sith really need a reason to fire upon passerby's?"
He led her into the spaceport to hide from the sight of the fighter above as he noticed the man in red helmet and possibly skin-tight suit.
"Hello, Mirshen, we don't really have time to stay and chat, Sith starfighter trying to kill us, you don't know me but I know you, don't look into it, oui? Oui."
He looked to Lylin as he looked through his pockets
"Let's keep moving."
He glanced to Mirshen as he motioned for them both to follow deeper in and disappear from aerial view
"Mirshen, do you have any friends around? Perhaps a vessel?"

Looking around, he saw one of the cloth vendors distract, using the chance, Sammo walked by, swiping a coat and a hat from their stall.
He offered that to Lylin as he confirmed the vendor did not noticed them,
"Put this on."
He whispered

Everything was happened at once and so quickly, the Captain Sammo knew of the man in Red, Mirshen his name. She smiled quickly not really knowing what to do.

"Sith? .. ", she could not believe what the Captain was say, no not really, what did they want with her? "I don't see who they could be Sith, I have never ... ". Before she could finish however, the kind Captain, gave her a hat and coat. She did as he asked and put them on. Not really her style but hey, who was complaining really, afterall he was helping her?

She hugged the coat around her body, like a security blanket. She looked back at her ship, she really just wanted to get it refueled and serviced and get back on with her journey. Little did she know at the time, but her journey had already started.

The other one would not stop his interference and Venom was running low on patience. But he had an idea... Instead of running or fighting, Venom chose both. He prepared the ship and turned it around, towards the attacker. Turning off all systems and maximizing power to the engines, hitting as much speed as possible. Even if the enemy fired the ion engines upon him, the ship would still have enough momentum to go on ahead. With luck Venom's ship would have enough speed to hit his attacker, as a sort of projectile. Meanwhile Venom left the cockpit with his HK and both jumped off the ship.

With the use of the force, and a little luck, they landed safely. Venom looked around, hid his armor with a robe and moved in the starport, avoiding attention, moving in the crowd. Let us see if we can find the witness... and a new ship.

Mirshen looked at the man thing that had dared to speak his name... Oh he was going to make sure he... Wait a ship. "Of course I have a ship, its long round and full of crewmen in white uniforms cause that is how I roll. Now if we are dealing with sith forces there are several ways to do this. Option one we sneak away under the cover of explosions from a chain reaction igniting the atmosphere's gasses, option two we get a patsy give him the the information the rebels stole about their secret space station and put cinnamon buns in our hair, option three and this is my favorite.... We shot everything and walk away whistling handing the weapons to a ten year old so he takes the blame.... Damn violent holonet movies."

Well now that Lylin was in different clothing, the Sith did not see her face when he attacked her, and none of them were Force-sensitive, so sensing them through it wasn't really that effective in a crowd full of non-sensitivities, they should be in the clear to get away.
"How big is it? A frigate? Tramp freighter?"
He would put his hand softly on the small of Lylin's back to guide her along and appear more natural.
"And no blowing up anything yet, I've checked if there are any Omegas around, hopefully there will be more friends for a reunion."
He spoke softly, walking on through the crowded spaceport

Lylin just let the Captain guide her through the crowd, she simply did not know what to do or think. What has she got herself into here? Both of them clearly bonkers, she smiled. The Captain made sense at least, the man in Red? Well even though he possess a body to die for, his brain? But she did wonder what was under that suit. Shaking her head a little to regain control of herself and back on the topic. She turned her head up toward the Captain and then to the man in Red.

And back again.

"Captain, what friends are you referring to?", she hoped not more of the same.

He smirked to Lylin as he kept leading her through the crowds of the port, hidden in plain sight.
He leaned closer, pressing his face to the side of her head.
To anyone else it would look like he was kissing her cheek or temple, but he whispered quietly, quietly enough that no one else but her heard, not even Mirshen who was wearing a full mask anyhoo
"I've got friends on the Rebel side."
He leaned back giving her a wink

@Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae, @Daxton Bane, @Jericho, @VenomTartarus, @Mirshen

Her head turned as she looked around the crowded star port, not sure exactly what she was looking for, maybe Sith jumping out of the ground or what not. Or was it the Captain's friends? Whatever it is, she is nervous to say the least.

What happened next made her even more nervous.. She felt the warm touch of the Captain's face near her's and her cheeks flushed. Not sure what he was up too. Then she heard him, friends on the rebel side? What is he talking about? But only a second later, it hit as she looked at him winking at her. She was not sure what to make of it, she has heard of these rebel types of course, you would have to have been living under a rock if you did not. Her only reply was a smile and a gentle nod.
