Biography:
Octavian Thraxus was born on Coruscant during the days of the New Republic, recruited into the New Jedi Order led by Luke Skywalker. Octavian grew to be a gifted student within the new generation of Jedi. Proving to hold his own he was often left alone as a Jedi Watchmen of the Outer Rim territories. He often found himself dealing with the remnants of the Empire, and the schemes laid out by Black Sun and the Hutts. He even went about to explore the edges of known space seeking the mysteries of the Force. Such journies had been cut short with the arrival of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. Leading him to hold off the advance in the Outer Rim as best he could before being captured. Held as a prisoner of war for the remainder of the war where horrible things had been done to him. By the time the New Jedi Order had won the bright young man was a tortured shell unable to recover from experimentation the Vong had done to him.
By the time of Darth Caedus's short ascension to power, Thraxus was inactive from the order lost within the Western Reaches. He did return for a short time to the temple on coruscant in time to help fight the Lost Tribe of Sith, his records leaving out that the unhinged Thraxus was falling deeper into darkness during the retaking of Coruscant. Following the events he left the order and attempted to die within the Unknown Regions. Unable to cope with the mental instability following the Yuuzhan Vong War. Fate however had other plans, while in the depths of space encountering one of the many horrors of the Unknown Regions the spirit beings known as Space Wraiths. If by some sheer bad luck or as fate would have had it the Wraith sought Thraxus as his next victim. Consuming the man with dark side energy. Time passed and now consumed by the Wraith, but still fighting for control began to study ancient Sith magic. Using some of the dark magic to retain control and to slow the death that the Wraith was slowly causing his body but was fed with darkness and gained powers such as Telepathy.
When he returned to the New Jedi Order it was not as a friend but a foe, the trauma and the possession making any reasoning impossible. He led an army of dark jedi in an attempt to crush the New Jedi Order notably on the world of Ossus. For a time skirmishes would pop between Thraxus's dark jedi cultists and the New Jedi Order. Before a final duel took place on the world of Jakku which caused him to be caught in a trap. Force Light being used to destroy his followers and trapping him in a box, and locked within the tomb known as the Well of Souls. A wayfinder was made but entrusted to a lone Jedi to guard the location of Thraxus. Over time rumors of the Well of Souls persisted, and some say Thraxus the dark sorcerer still resides in the tomb to this day, only waiting to wreck havoc upon the galaxy after centuries of slumber.
Appearance:
The man known as Octavian Thraxus appears as nothing more than a normal man, behind a fearsome and intimidating look. Wearing a mask that took inspiration from the Nihil Maurauders, armor with spikes that could be used as a weapon themselves. Often wielding a dark staff that has a human skull at the forefront of the staff, with rumors that it often help with Sith Magic. Next to his mask and armor he is clad in dark robes. Beneath the armor his skin is pale, his eyes dark and his hair long, with some facial hair in the form of a beard. His fingers so corrupted often look bony, almost in the form of talons a side effect of the Vong experimentation. Often his own skin would resemble much of the Vong in a sickly pale skin. Sometimes the skin even falling off to show a more skeletal appearance, as well as several organs and body parts given to the human making him a hybrid.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Abilities of a Wraith: Even when possessed by a parasite, Octavian was granted some skills that were unique to such a bond. Telepathy was offered as well as to control the minds of others, even under the right circumstances subjugate a Force User's will.
Dark Sorcerer: Given his former Jedi training, and the reality of living with a parasite, it caused Thraxus to dabble in Magick, from the Nightsisters of Dathomir, Sorcerers of Rhand, Magic of the Ancient Sith, as well as the ways of the Yuuzhan Vong
Staving off the Inevitable: Despite granted new powers and furthering his skills in magic, the parasite within Octavian will keep consuming him, and at times during combat when the Wraith takes control Thraxus is at his most vulnerable as well as his most powerful and could be killed.
The horrors of the Vong: With the addition of PTSD during his years of torture and captivity at the hands of the Yuuzhan Vong. The experiments done to him has deformed his body from the inside out with pieces of the Vong species, often leading to insanity and episodes of psychosis. Haunted with dreams and visions of the Yuuzhan Vong.
