Occupational Safety & Health (Koda Fett - Bounty on Veiere Arenais).

Veiere's instincts were telling him to turn up the heat and to re-engage the bounty hunter for fear that [member="Koda Fett"] would no doubt seek to take the initiative, yet in the back of his mind there too was that voice, that conscience of his reminding him that the things he had been fighting for of late, had all only worsened his situation and distanced him from his family and those he loved. His Lightsaber weighed heavier in his right hand, his fingers clutching the hilt as it vibrated with energy pulsating through from the exposed blade illuminating the grass beneath his feet in a vibrant and brighter shade of green. His thumb shifted ever so slightly to touch upon the activation stud, hesitation in the moment as if second guessing himself before the blade was deactivated and sucked back into the hilt, his arm falling to his side and he releasing a shallow breath in sighing fashion.

"Tell me something, Hunter...-Do you believe and uphold Honor as your predecessors in the Mandalorian Empire might?" Veiere spoke up in question, for the time being remaining where he was though showing far less of a threat to engage Koda now that his lightsaber was no longer active. "I realize there is nothing keeping you from attacking me and forcing this fight one way or another, yet the way you spoke in suggestion of taking my last weapon...-It almost sounds as though you would let me leave were I to no longer have the means to harm you" To someone who worked in Koda's line of work, Veiere imagined the prospect was a ridiculous one given that credits were ever the objective at the end of the day; yet it was worth trying for he supposed. He had made his share of mistakes and seen to a number of deaths as well as a far larger number of injuries that had threatened his own family, not directly by his hand though because of his influence no less.

"Is there no middle ground to be found here..." his posed resignation feeling like one of cowardice though coming from a history of violence he wished not to continue.

Fett always felt a certain disconnection between himself, and the sons and daughters of Mandalore, or Manda'yaim as they so often called it. The man never spoke their language bar understanding a few choice phrases, he never followed their rules, and when it all came down to the wire he aided in spearheading one of the most violent acts Mandalore had seen in a long, long time. Did he have their honour? No, he was nothing like them. He was a Bounty Hunter first before he was a Mandalorian, that reputation of his meant more than anything in the entire galaxy to Koda Fett.

"No." He muttered from beneath that Mandalorian Helmet. The Mandalorian Empire was under the command of a child as far as Fett saw it, and they passed out their olive branches as if they were going on sale. The Bounty Hunter may just be a traditionlist, in which he was to rather see Crusades stretch hyper-routes long, stretching deep and far into the core and bring the galaxy to it's knees before he made friends with a Jedi.

"My offer still stands." Koda continued, "But not for long."

Veiere's impression of [member="Koda Fett"] seemed to be pretty well to his name, he hadn't expected the Bounty Hunter would see reason to let go of his pursuit given the One Million credits that were attached to Veiere's name. Nodding, the Exile acknowledged the Hunters response and soon fell silent a moment in consideration for his next move. Fett had offered to take him in under no further aggression were he to resign himself, the choice of further conflict being placed directly in the former Master's hands yet at the price of his freedom and the likelihood that again those whom still remained loyal to him would see reason to attack whomever kept Veiere incarcerated. Raising his left hand out in gesture for Koda Fett to wait a moment in pause, he soon turned to reach for his commlink, turning side on and shifting his gaze away from the Bounty Hunter back in the direction of the Dark Jedi Temple as he dialed in their frequency.

"It's Veiere..." He spoke into the communications device first identifying himself before continuing; "Inform Mirak that I will be leaving Rannon and will not be likely to return. What becomes of me will be a result of my actions and the Dark Jedi are not to come looking for me. Failure to comply with my wishes will result in death. That is all..." his tone of voice was colder than that of the way he had spoken to Koda Fett, subtly suggesting that the presence Veiere held with regards to the Dark Jedi Order was significantly more intent and purposeful than it was genuine at times. A facade if you will.

Turning to look back in the direction of his aggressor, Veiere Arenais lowered his head in acknowledgement once more, this time doing so decisively as he began to walk in Koda's direction, his right hand lifting so that the lightsaber would be removed of his grip via telekinesis and gingerly guided towards the Hunter ahead of Veiere that he might receive it and too identify Veiere's decision to resign himself to whatever fate lay in store with his compliance. Following Veiere's absence, it was his hope that the Dark Jedi Order would see itself removed of responsibility where he was concerned and thus not impose any further threat towards [member="Lady Kay"] and the Systems Alliance, expecting now that Veiere himself was to be forced to return under custody.

The Bounty Hunter never truly expected his diplomatic ultimatum to work. Mostly because the Mandalorian was the type of man to scoff at such things, and then shoot to kill. He couldn't help being predisposed to violence, it was what he was created for after all. Violence ran rampant through his veins, ready to kill at a moments notice. Such a thing radiated through the force, a darker presence without being capable to wield it. A simple, black aura that pulsated wildly.

A smirk cracked his permanent scowl beneath the helmet upon the revelation. And as the Lightsaber begun to gently cross through the air between them, Koda seemingly holstered the other Lightsaber before stretching his arm outwards to catch it, and then repeat the process. His Carbine, however, remained within his grip albeit it lowered. In this line of work, you learned you could never trust anybody, and it was for that reason alone that Koda Fett was still alive.

Ultimately, Fett nodded his head in a certain direction over his shoulder, even flicking his Carbine that way too. Signifying that that's where they're going. A clearing not too far off is where Fett parked the Spear II, the successor to the Concord Spear that so unfortunately got shot down over Dagobah.

Time to return home.

Some time later...
[member="Koda Fett"]'s 'Spear II' jumped out of hyperspace just in time for Commenor to come up within sight of the Bounty Hunter's craft, the sight of Veiere's home-world not within reach of the former Master as he was seated further back in the rear of the ship, curiously not having been cuffed by he wrists as he might have expected; perhaps a reluctant gift considering his willingness to give himself up to his pursuer. All in all, the bounty had done it's job fairly well and by now any blame towards his wife [member="Lady Kay"] would have been dismissed and kept purely upon his head where it rightly belonged.

The venture back home had been a discomforting experience, not knowing what to expect in the way he would be treated after the previous attack upon Chasin City by result of his Trial. He had been released before any official sentencing had been made and thus he suspected he might have to undergo yet another session under scrutiny of Commenor's court ruling. Hopefully this time however it would be done heeding his original piece of advice and void any public documentation or recording of it. Veiere didn't wish to have his face all over the holo-net again, more out of concern for his family and his house rather then he himself or his health. Whatever sort of Karma would come his way was something that he head well earned in his former haste.

The trip was long, the trip was slow, the trip was quiet. The ever-present atmosphere of boredom had flooded the interior of the Spear II. The only sound that seemed to be made was that of the engines persistent hum, and then the all the sounds the cockpit of a Firespray-31 Attack and Patrol Craft vessel made. To Veiere? Nothing but those engines. Fett had remained in the cockpit, even during the downtime where it wasn't exactly needed. He wasn't a sparkling conversationalist, and thus left Veiere to his thoughts. Hopefully those thoughts never lead to second-guessing the situation he had allowed himself to get into. That would be most unfortunate.

Those white streaks that washed over the viewport of the cockpit begun to fade into obscurity as they departed hyperspace, leaving Commenor and her traffic flow before their eyes. Perhaps Veiere could feel it, if not see it. It was a strange scenario the Bounty Hunter was in too, once capturing the King's wife from this planet, and now he returned to hand her Husband back for a price. Might call it amusing that Fett always got the last laugh. It happened when he took off with Kay, handing her to Abyss. It happened when Ghorua the Shark came after him with a bloodlust that wasn't quenched. It's happening now as Fett is paid by the same woman he practically enslaved.

With time, the Spear II began it's gradual descent into Chasin City. An armed starship siding alongside the clearly armed vessel, "State your business." Is all Fett cared to respond to out of the rather lengthy speech that flight officer gave. The Bounty Hunter didn't reply with words, but instead a holographic projection of the area that Veiere sat within.

"Follow me."

Koda could honestly say he had never been inside a palace before, nor had he wished it.

Seems as if there's a first time for everything.

[member="Koda Fett"] 's vessel was guided down to the Royal Palace's landing pad, as was the instructions given should [member="Veiere Arenais"] be captured and brought to them. No announcements were to be made, only word sent to the Queen. Even the pilots that escorted them in were to continue with that escort on foot to the back entrance to the Palace. From there the two would be joined by a half dozen uniformed guards that would in turn lead them down to the catacombs.

The message was sent out to Kay's datapad as soon as the bounty hunter transmitted the video. The Queen was going over some new contracts at the time. Yet she froze in place the moment that she saw the image of her estranged husband [member="Veiere Arenais"] sitting in that familiar holding. "Oh no..."

So soon. It happened so soon! Kay hoped that it wouldn't happen at all. Now what was she to do? Of course she had the credits to pay the hunter. But still.. she didn't want to go through another trial. She didn't want to keep Veiere locked up or have something even worse happen.

But she got up anyways, moving first to a small vault to collect a datachip and then through one of the secret passageways that linked her office to the catacombs. She had to be strong and not show signs of weakness in front of the hunter and her staff. As it was, Kay reached the catacombs before them. Maybe that was a good thing.

Back within custody and the familiar setting of the Commenori Palace's underground prison, Veiere Arenais was instructed to meet with the enforcement officers in order for them to remove him of any unnecessary possessions or equipment that might pose a danger to himself and others. Removed of his Armor, he was left to keep the robes that he had worn beneath; another Officer moving to greet the Bounty Hunter [member="Koda Fett"] with the intention of procuring the man's weapons from the Bounty Hunter, the two Lightsabers as well as the Kingsglaive having been taken from Veiere during their bout.

Only upon their inspection and approval would Veiere and his Captor be allowed to proceed into the following area which held his Cell and also [member="Lady Kay"] very anxiously awaiting them both. Veiere could feel the anxiety, the shock and sadness falling away from her in their bond within the Force; it did nothing to improve his mood though he had come to accept what fate he had brought upon himself.

His failures were many and they now varied on multiple levels and differing forms, so much so that Veiere had come to the conclusion upon their transit that the best way to make amends of his actions now was to fall into Exile. Unfortunately Koda Fett had beaten him to this realization and now he found himself being imprisoned once more.

As they entered the larger room, Veiere was encouraged by way of the end of a blaster rifle to continue moving on ahead and into his specialized Cell that Kay had created to keep Force Users at bay, he himself the source of it's inspiration and reason behind the construction of his familiar prison. At-least to the public eye, his Exile would still be considered such a thing without Veiere to be present in anyone's lives again. It was difficult to look upon his Wife with any sense of pleasure, guilt and remorse heavy in his aura and silence was all that he offered for the time being.

There were after-all, still many ears around them.

Begrudgingly, the Mandalorian left his weapons aboard his vessel. Travelling without them almost felt unnatural. Since birth, or creation, he had always been within eyesight of a weapon. IT was a truth, and that very truth dawned on him. It only further amplified the fact that he is predisposed to violence, created for war, and even to die for a cause that many may consider noble. Fett did not, and that's why he got out when he had the chance. Unwilling to confine himself to the shackles of an Empire. A free man through and through.

His booted feet collided with the marble of the Palace, and then into the Catacombs. It was a lovely place, and if Koda was another man he may of come to appreciate it. For now, he had one thing on his mind. It was the credits that the deliverer of Arenais was promised. A full one million, a worthy fee for one as dangerously capable as Veiere. For now, all Fett did was follow along and wait for his payment. At that moment he was gone. He didn't care for the struggles of nobility.

Kay awaited the two of them, datachip within her hands that were clasped before her. She felt [member="Veiere Arenais"] through their Force Bond, though it wasn't as enhanced as it used to be when she wore her wedding rings. Those were hidden away, a decision made to show her people that she was seperating herself from her husband and his actions.

But now here he was, being brought to her by.... [member="Koda Fett"] . Oh she should have known. The last time that she had seen the man, it was when he had captured her. That negotiation for her release was the start of the decline of her husband. What Abyss took from Veiere led him to this, or so Kay believed.

And now she had to pay him. Koda had earned a lot of credits from both of their captures. Hopefully their children would never have to suffer the same fate as their parents.

"You followed the bounty to the letter, I see. Thank you." She held out the datachip for him. "Here is your payment. There are details there for an account containing the million credits. My guards will escort you back to your ship and out to orbit."

Kay kept herself as calm as possible, putting on a mask as it were, to hide the many emotions that was threatening to move to the surface.

And so it would seem that [member="Koda Fett"]'s play in all of this was coming to an end. Veiere turned around to face them all as the wall to his Cell activated and the field of energy that split him off from everything else outside of his prison reached from the floor to the ceiling securely locking him in, "I'm glad I didn't have to kill you, Bounty Hunter. Try to be as generous to your next hunt as you were with me" Veiere called out to Fett, the Hunter having done a rather professional job for a Bounty Hunter in Veiere's rather first hand experience now. Seeing him and [member="Lady Kay"] together however finally pieced that puzzle together and he realized who the armored hunter was. [member="Ghorua the Shark"] had described his file in true detail the time that Veiere and [member="Darlyn Excron"] had come to his Wife's rescue with the rather intimidating big fish.

Turning to look to his Wife, Veiere bobbed his head to the side in a half ways nod, a slight smirk forming to the corner of his mouth. "Cheeky..." He mused quietly to himself at the Hunters lack of fear and tact for his chosen career. All in all, Veiere considered Koda in a positive regard considering the way things could have gone. He certainly wouldn't blame the Hunter for where he stood now given it was his actions that brought the consequences down on top of him...-In fact, the motivation for the bounty itself was his suggestion; He'd never intended on getting caught however.

It was within the confines of the Commenor Palace Catacombs that Fett earned his reward. The red glow of Veiere's prison cell door reflected upon his black T-shaped visor, staring into it for the briefest of moments in an act of triumph. Fett had won, and really, he hadn't cared if this family of his was hurt more- only that he was capable of deceiving the man into coming clean and making things easier. If the Mandalorian was one thing, it was cunning. It was said a long time ago by a man who sharead his face, 'If the Jedi could be fooled, then they could be killed.' It turns out he was right.

The datachip that was offered to Koda was grasped between his left thumb and index finger, then slowly shuffled across to one of the many pouches that stretched around his waist. When Arenais spoke, he turned the cheek. The only sound Fett bothered to concentrate on was that of his boot's clinging against the flooring with each stop. Perhaps he offered mercy, and humanity. Realistically? Fett was going to re-engage the former Jedi if he declined the offer. He never returned empty handed, he never lied about a hunt.

Fett was the ultimate consummate professional.
