Description:
The OBL-1 Drone is a simple droid designed by the Astraeus Industrial Planetary Defense Division.

The Drone itself is incredibly simple in design and even simpler in production. The make-up of the droid is simple Durasteel, a spherical ball with circuitry built into the 'hull'. The drones are a little slower than the average repulsorlift speeder. The OBL is not designed to be substantially powerful or even withstand significant amount of fire, though they are capable of standing up to all but heavy blaster fire and missiles. They are instead designed to work in packs, overwhelming a foe with simple superior numbers rather than great firepower.

The Drones do not have any sort of Artificial Intelligence, rather they hold to programming directives created by Astraeus Industrial. These directives are rather simple, enough to tell friend from foe, change objectives, and assess a situation as needed.

This means that the OBL-1's are fairly...dumb, for lack of a better term, though it should be noted that they do not need to be intelligent.

Their purpose similar to their design is rather simple. Upon invasion of a world, or breach of security swarms of these droids are released into the atmosphere of whatever planet they are housed on. Traveling in packs of Three the OBL-1's then go to wherever the breach occurred, then using superior numbers they overwhelm and neutralize the target. During an planetary invasion the OBL-1's will travel in greater numbers, working as support units for soldiers, providing an impressive amount of suppressing fire and battlefield dominance.

It should be noted that the OBL-1 is only the first generation, and it is very likely that future OBL-series droids will be substantially more powerful.

Nothing seems to be outta the ordinary, just give me a rough estimate on how many of these things you could reasonably encounter during an invasion and the sort.

In theory? As many as the planet chose to purchase.

Much like NPC units, Tanks, walkers, etc... i expect it to be regulated OOC by factions and such :)
