Strengths:
  • Fast: When out of the atmosphere, the Oberon can move, and move fast.
Weaknesses:
  • Straight lines only, please: The manuverability doesn't quite match the speed, and thus it is only fast when travelling in straight lines.
  • No guns: The Oberon was designed to ferry personnel and supplies, not fight.
Description: The Oberon-class shuttle was commissioned by Lord Voph to handle the logistical aspects of the Octarchy Covenant, such as supply transfer, and land infantry personnel on planetary surfaces. A simple yet elegant craft, the Oberon is not intended for combat, and thus features no weapons. The primary defense, in addition to the on-board deflector shields, are the large engines mounted at the rear of the craft, allowing it to travel quite fast. The turning radius, however, is not as impressive, forcing the pilot to slow down in order to effectively maneuver.

The standard configuration for the Oberon permits 2 pilots and 60 passengers, but this can be reconfigured to cargo space, permitting just the twin pilots, and a 15 x 15 x 5 meter cargo space nestled below the crew deck.
