STRENGTHS:

• “Well Armed” - thanks to its two NZ LC 2A Laser Cannons and door mounted E-Web Heavy Blasters the ship can take on enemy fighters and stick around to provide close air support to allied troops.
• “Protected” - the ship uses an advanced NZ Shield System Package and Electronic Countermeasure suite. It also has Chaff dispensers for last minute spoofing of missiles.
• “Fast” - as the name suggests the ship is designed to get a squad of troops onto the ground quickly, then stick around for close air support or escape.

WEAKNESSES:

• “Modified U-Wing” - the ship is essentially just a modified U-Wing all weakness present on the base design still apply.
• “Can’t Dogfight” - due to its large size and sluggish maneuverability dogfighting is ill advised. It also makes it an easy target for specialized anti air defenses.

DESCRIPTION:
The Rapid Assault Craft is a modified U-Wing that improves upon the original design featuring improved speed, defenses and armament. The ship is best used in planetary raids or assaults where its fast troop landing ability becomes a valuable asset.
