SPECIAL FEATURES
- Available in varying sizes, the effectiveness increases dramatically on larger, mobile weapon placements, as the increased size would also mean greater capacity and receiving/sensory capabilities.
- Capable of microadjustments on individual barrels of weapon batteries (though only when the turret or weaponplacement has such versatility built-in the design)
- Capable of accurately "reading" opening paths into and from hyperspace, allowing for shorter response time and more accurate range and target calculations in the thick of combat.
- Choice of several support protocols, ranging from: "light" where the intention is to make turning and aiming take less effort for the gunners, with emphasis on lowering friction, supporting the steering and elevating of the turrets and barrels of the weapons' system. "Medium" where most of the aiming and targeting is done by the connected targeting computer but still follows vocal commands and manual input. "Full Auto" is the mode in which the system itself acts according to the gathered data by its sensors and prequisite input from the targeting computer, where gunners simply have to put in the transponder codes, visual cues or simply allow firing at will for the system to figure out an optimal output of the coupled and connected weapons' systems.
- Hyperefficient and accurate aiming support system
- capable of shifting between various modes of operation
- highly secured system due to shielded circuitry and difficult to slice components
- lowers risk of jamming, misfiring and lowers the potential of friendly fire
- not a light system due to the additional stabilizers and sensory package
- best at medium to short range, making it more useful for dogfights and broadsides rather than accuracy sniper shots
- intricately designed and complex system
To further improve the quality of the company's large repertoire of weapons' systems, the N&Z had commissioned an improved auto aiming system which could be retro installed into older products but could also become a standard for future integration in the company's ever expanding line up of weapon choices for both vehicles, ships and locations. The commission was taken internally by the EnSol division, which began to conduct tests with a combination of sensors and stabilizers, relying on the processing capacity of the Neuron Mk I quantum droid brain as opposed to the initially proposed use of the Proton Mk I auxiliary droid brain.
The aim was simple: to engineer and create a system which could be uniformly attached to any weapons system and could verifiably improve the accuracy of both the weapon and the ones operating the weapon systems in question. utilizing a comprehensive sensory package and expensive gyroscopic stabilizers alongside a closed and shielded circuitry, this system would prove itself in live testing rounds and would have little to no issue with a wide range of weapon system sizes and configurations. As such, the NZ Dillinger Auto Aiming System was created and signed off for production by the N&Z top brass...
