Homeworld: The original being was a Quarren, whose homeworld was Dac, but the Quarren was changed with the parts of many other species in one of Valik's Laboratories.

Strengths:
  • Fear: Like the Piscator Nyarl's power grows when others around him in fear. This, while an instinct and naturally put up by Nyarl, is like the ability exhibited by Scourge and The Sith Emperor in that it is an effect of the Force. Therefore this boon may be extinguished by a Ysalamir field, reduced by the effects of Ixeltal Cilona gas, and is otherwise affected by things which dampen one's connection to the Force. This ability is also limited by sheer scope, Nyarl can only absorb the fears of creatures so far away. Currently he can only be strengthened by the fears of enemies around 5 meters away from him, but that could grow to up to 10 meters per 'level' in the Force.(So as a high apprentice it would extend to 10m, high knight 20, high master 30). Currently this can only be utilized to enhance his strength and speed, but overtime he could grow to use this amplification into other talents.
  • Sensory Tentacles: Nyarl's tentacles on his face are not traditional quarren tentacles, but instead an amalgamation of prehensile Nautolan headtails. These are used to detect the pheremon and thus emotional states of others, and is most effective underwater.
  • Cortosis Wings. Like the Vanr, an element in his creation, Nyarl possesses limited abilities in flight and gliding. This is very taxing however, and can't be done for extended periods of time. These wings are embedded with a very light layer of biological Cortosis, which increase resistance to blaster bolts and lightsabers, but cannot deactivate lightsabers and further serves to tax his strength due to the added weight. Due to the lightness of the cortosis it offers no significant protection against slugthrowers, blades, blunt instruments, or any other physical assault.
  • Water Dweller: Ability to breath and function normally underwater due to Quarren and Nautolan heritage .
  • Intellect: Due to Columi interface Nyarl has extreme intelligence, though not quite at the standard Columi's level.
  • Shifting: Nyarl has the ability to change the color of his skin, a trait 'inherited' from the Quarren, who are known to change their skin colors as a sort of mating ritual.
Weaknesses:
  • Water. Nyarl -needs- it in copious amounts in order to survive. Environments like Tatooine will kill him in a couple days, three if he's lucky, and he needs to purchase large amounts of it on normal world(that is, not Manaan or Dac-type worlds) to stay hydrated, and thus alive.
  • Speech: While Nyarl is sentient and can comprehend a few different languages, as well as learn most any language with application, due to the amalgamation of different creatures combined within him his vocal cords were altered to a point that they can't utter words and sounds normally made by quarren, nautolan, humans, etc, only twisted garbles. This is further impeded by the mass of tentacles infront of his mouth, stifling whatever he says as the sound has a to travel through a new medium.
  • Hollow bones. In order for his wings to be of use he needs to be lighter, and thus his bones are hollow. This significantly hinders his durability, as well as potential musculature, as his body simply can't carry that much weight without his body crumbling upon itself.
  • Reproduction. Due to extensive genetic modification with several different species, with some of them having low or non-existant fertility rates, Nyarl has no hope of producing a viable child. Most attempts will be unsuccessful, most successful attempts will perish before birth, and any that make it that far will extremely debilitating physical and mental deformities, with a very high post-birth mortality rate.
  • Dark Side Corruption: Due to the extensive Sith Alchemy used in Nyarl's creation, as well as in the creation of two if his "parent races", the Vanr and Piscator, Nyarl radiates the darkside. This makes usage and access of the lightside of the Force nearly impossible. This also makes him easily identifiable in the Force regardless of his strength in it, as well ensuring that exposure to Force Light is extremely lethal.
  • Addiction: As a side effect of Nyarl's ability to gain strength through other's phobia's and his innate extreme corruption for the darkside(and thus a desire for power) Nyarl has literally become physically addicted to other's fears. His cravings to terrify and opress shape his actions and pursuits like crime to a hutt. When unsustained by other's fears for an extended period of time Nyarl goes into withdrawal, becoming physically weaker and even sdick as time goes on. This is especially dangerous when dealing with droids,solitary confinement, long hyperspace travel, or even merely facing fearless people.

Average Lifespan: 80 years
Races: There is only one specimen, thus there are no ethnicities, though Nyarl can change his skin color at will.
Diet: Mostly fishy and kelpy things,though he can eat a good bit of stuff.
Communication:Cannot effectively emulate commonly known languages due to adverse affects of Sith Alchemy on vocal chords.
Culture: Cannot accurately be judged or or ascertained due to sparse(that is one) population, but it is safe to assume that if one did exist it would revolve around gorging themselves on the fear of others, and the pursuit of power.
Technology level: Due to his his increased intelligence Nyarl can understand and even build most technology with relative ease, though he is by no means a scientist or an engineer.
General behavior: It is difficult to truly speak of 'general behavion' as Nyarl is only one specimen, but due to the Darkside corruption evident in the elements of his creation, as well as the process of his creation itself, Nyarl has an innate biological and social need to expand his power in the Force, as well as his power through fear absorption. These traits would be shared amongst a population of Nyarls, if such a thing were to exist(Unlikely due his inability to breed and the extensive Sith Alchemy abuse causing cloning to to be extremely difficult, with clone madness unavoidable in any case).
History: Nyarl, at birth, was a simple quarren. A quarren who had been lucky enough to be gifted enough to touch the Force, but not one who'd discovered or been able to utilize those talents thusfar. He was born on the Quarren and Mon Calamari homeworld of Dac, and spent some time there before heading to Nar Shadda with his sister to find work. There he found a job as a dockworker. While he was doing this rather self-explanatory job a Sith Alchemist by the name of Warren Valik had a project formulate in his mind, to create a new breed of Sith that could feed on the fear of his enemies. Never one to go halfway Valik had many other traits that he wished to imbue to create a more perfect Sith. The color-changing ability of the Quarren was one of these traits, and thus Valik hired two HRD's by the name of Maelion Liates and Moira Skaldi to procure some Quarren.

Thus Nyarl and his sister were captured, examined, and experimented on in humiliating fashion, his sister killed but him left alive. While he spent time wondering what the mad scientist would do to him, trapped and alone in his cell Valik was hard at work cloning Columi and Vanr, and conducting experiments on them, a captured Nautolan, and old notes on Chrysalide Rancor he'd found on Gallos. Finally the biggest prize of them all, the Piscator, was examined, and when he had sufficient alchemical and genetic understanding of the different species he took Nyarl out of his cell, and drugged him to a point where could still feel, but not protest with Valik’s experiments.

From there long hours were spent, with Nyarl’s body changing, body parts reshaping, organs gaining new purpose, wings erupting from his back, until finally Valik’s creation was born. To test his creation he harvested citizens of Arda and put them in fear, before unleashing him on Seroth Ur-Rahn and measuring his strength.

Species Disclaimer
For clarity, it should be mentioned that this submission is not an entire species. Nyarl is a(1) Quarren who has undergone extreme alchemical alteration. As such he cannot breed, and due to the extensive alchemical alteration(as well as Nyarl's Force sensitivity) cloning attempts will be unsuccessful, developing improperly with clone madness being unavoidable. The only way for another Nyarl to come to being is for Valik to take another Quarren and go through the process again.

Power Disclaimer:
For the purpose of leaving little to interpretation at the recommendation of our lovely species judge I'm going to make an additional section right here to give some quantification to how much and how far he can amplify his abilities.

Firstly, Nyarl's ability to feed off of other's fears is based on the Force, so as specified above it can be nullified through certain motions, but also limits how much he can amplify himself due to his strength in the Force, not only by how far out he can feed, but also how much he can feed. This is also directly proportional to how afraid people are(of him or something else does not matter), with insanity being ideal. Another quirk of this ability of this ability is how much power he can absorb is also related to how much power the person has in the Force. For example a Jedi Master under the effects of Force Insanity would be about equal to the effects of around fifteen NFU's under the same effect.

At apprentice level Nyarl can 'max out' at the fear of around fifteen to twenty people, and can use this boon to increase his strength OR his speed, with the upper limits of those two being the ability to punch through durasteel and lower-level Force Speed being the ceilings for those abilities. At Knight Level he'll be able to absorb strength from around fifty people, and he'll be able to, at max, punch through Durasteel as well as boost his speed as if he were using a Force Speed approximate to his level. At Master level he has no 'hard' limit on how many people he can absorb fear from, but after 100 the boosts are negligible at best. With that boon he'll be able to have the aforementioned strength and proportional Force Speed, but with training will also be able to apply the strength to other powers of his in the Force. This would, at best, allow him to use a Force Power he has approximately apprentice-level proficiency with as if he were a Master at the art, or use power's he'd mastered while taxing himself quite a bit less than normal. This does not grant him knowledge of new Force Powers he had no experience with.

The -extreme- upper limit of this ability is, if terrified Jedi were stacked all around a Sith Master Nyarl in the maximum 30m radius he would(Provided he knew how to use the skill) be able to summon one Force Storm without collapsing. I have no plans for Nyarl to -ever- learn such a power like Force Storm or Supernova, but I use this example to make it clear that in no circumstances during normal roleplay will this ability to drop Force Storms in PvP, nor shall any other overpowered shenanigans come to the fold.
