Nyūtō jikan

It seemed she had underestimated Dus a little, her connecting strike doing very little, only getting a small reaction from him, but that was good, it meant he was strong and she could become a little more serious. Kurenai's eyes didn't leave Dus as he dogged, her feet plating firm into the ground, already expecting a counter one would normally do after dodging an attack. She eyed the incoming blow directed near her belly, one that she could have blocked with her left hand, having kept it free during her attack, but she didn't. Similar to the way Dus fought Kurenai was always willing to take a non lethal blow in order to counter, the difference? She had a very high pain tolerance, being jabbed in the kidney didn't feel anywhere as bad as being stabbed there by a light saber. With firm footing and a slightly larger body Kurenai stood firm as the hit connected, but she didn't just take it. As Dus's jab came to her side Kurenai threw a wide and powerful horizontal hay-makers punch towards his shoulder. Such a blow from a human would probably dislocated someones arm at best, for an energy vampire and a trained and physically strong women such as her the blow could shatter bones with ease.

Dusaro got a bit of a bad feeling the moment his hit connected. It had been felt sure, but he wasn't the only kind of person who enjoyed courting death. Something that wasn't the force spoke to him but his instincts. Something was about to hurt. In what at first might seem odd move, Dusaro made a small jump and his body twisted to the side moments before the strike would land. Rather than taking the blow right to his bone, it contacted with the hard muscle between the deltoids and pectoral chest muscles. This kept the bones themselves from being broken but in addition, his little jump let his body absorb the force much better. He wasn't planted to the ground and taking all of the force, part of it ended up pushing him back. The force of the blow ended up knocking him back several feet and as he had no contact with the ground, he landed in a somewhat awkward position. Hitting the ground with a hard thud he rolled backwards and sprang up to his feet with the intent of putting distance between them while he checked his own damage.

The muscles were torn, badly. That didn't mean much to him, but it was going to decrease the power he could generate with his left arm substantially. The longer the fight dragged on, the worse it would get. The shoulder had been knocked back a lot. While it hadn't been knocked out of socket, much more of that could be bad. It was time to change gears, but for now he was on the defensive and was busy reacting to any attacks Kurenai might launch while he tried to recover and get some distance.

The hit wasn't as she expected but it was clear her move sent a message to Dus, she wasn't fooling around here and to honest neither should he. With the power of her punch the follow through would be a little hard to fully negate, Kurenai choosing to use the momentum to spin around fully, presenting herself back toward Dus. During said spin her style changing, her footing now lower and slightly spread out, right arm raised to be horizontal at her head while her left are was down lower, horizontal to her chest. It was clear her style had changed from her defensive CQC to an offensive martial arts form.

Pushing from the floor Kurenai spured her body forward quickly, getting close to Dus she threw out a kick directed into his knee followed by hand being driven towards his chest, though it wasn't a punch. Her fingers were in a slight curl, half way between a punch and an open palm, the force behind her attack being directed into the knuckles of her index and middle finger. If it hit, such a focused punch would knock the wind out of Dus, something that regernation didn't prevent, after all a persons lungs were not to different from a balloon. With the right force anything could become deflated.

Dusaro hadn't been fooling around, rather he hadn't intended to give such an impression at least. He had something of a dignified expression while he left shoulder and arm rolled, keeping it in motion to fight back against the pain. Dus used that momentum she had gained to regain his positioning and footing. By the time Kurenai began to push forward both his feet were firmly on the ground, just a bit past shoulder feet apart, having stopped his retreat seeing her not immediately continue the attack. Left foot forward with the right one in the back. As Kurenai moved forward Dusaro threw himself forward at the same time, he was never one to continue to play defensive. Not only was that not his style, that was not how he had been trained and raised.

His attack was somewhat different, he was not going in to attack with fist and foot. The kick would land firmly against his left leg, raising it so it would strike below the knee against the calf. The Punch he let continue and he made a motion with both his hands simultaneously. His left arm moved to grip Kurenai's arm at the wrist, while his right elbow came down in a vicious strike at the arm, fully intent on breaking the bone. As for her punch, it would land and have its intended effect of taking out and destroying his breathing, but that did not stop the movement to break her arm that he had already started doing.

It was worth noting that the attack was somewhat imbalanced from her kick, but the speed and strength behind it was not to be joked around with. Needless to say after this exhange of blows, he was going to be having difficulty breathing, but Dusaro figured he could deal with that when it became an issue. One thing at a time.

It had been a while since someone had been able to properly stand up to her one on one and almost blow for blow without the use of armor or the froce. The only time she had faced such an interesting opponent was a Gedai she had come to blows with a few years ago. Though in said case it was more his size and expert healing factor they kept the fight going and not so much his skill in hand to hand combat... Dus though was different, a small smile creeping up Kurenai's face as the spar became more intense.

They had entered a grapple more or less, the two locked closely together with little way of dodging, right now her only real option to avoid being hit was to block or parry. It was a good thing she had prepared for a counter during her attack, Kurenai's left arm being free to intercept the incoming blow from Dus, her own fist traveling towards his elbow to hit it in the side and directed the blow from making contact. Though this position, his grip on her arm, it also gave her the chance to some more interesting moves.

Her grappled arm capitulating on the mans slight lack of balance after her own blow, yanking him in a downwards motion, her blocked leg swinging up, her intention to plant a firm knee into the Jedi's chest, that was if he didn't let go. Out of all the options releasing his grip and making room would have been the best options, though Kurenai kept her guard up, knowing full well a fighter such a Dus could have a number of tricky skills up his sleeve waiting to be put into action.
