- Provides a full daily amount of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and carbohydrates, offering 2,000 calories per patch consumed with total nutritional yield required for an adult Human or Near-Human for a single day.
- Additional (Doubled) use is possible for high-exertion situations regarding greater nutritional and caloric intake, though use beyond this amount may lead to weight gain or similar physiological conditions which left untended may result in serious health risks.
- Entirely discreet, the transparent patches may be applied directly to the surface of one’s skin, worn beneath clothing, armor, environmental suits, etc. and without drawing attention.
- Packaged in numbers of ten (10) transdermal patches, to provide sufficient daily dietary intake for ten (10) days or five (5) days, where exertion requires additional caloric intake, the ultra-light and relatively small ration patches are easily stowed or carried, and are able to be worn discreetly.

You’re on a planet, the environment is minimal and atmosphere non-existent, and so you’re wearing your environmental suit. How do you eat? A soldier, on the march for days, can’t afford to carry anything she doesn’t need and every gram counts. How can she cut weight and still keep herself healthy with regard to nutrition and caloric needs? These real-world problems needed a real-world solution. That solution was the Nutri-Tab.
A transparent plastoid self-adhesive patch, able to be discreetly worn on the skin of most Human and Near-Human species that delivers a full 2,000 calories and the entire compliment of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals needed daily for a fully-grown adult. In situations of high exertion, usage can be doubled to compensate for required extra nutrients and calories. A single tab will provide a full day’s rations, and a package of ten weighs less than 648 milligrams and fits easily and unobtrusively into a small pocket. Nutri-Tab is exactly the solution needed.
Replacing larger, heavier ration packs or nutrient pills which must be taken orally and require removing helmets, etc. the Nutri-Tab can be applied before a mission and will last all day. Further, reapplication can be done quickly, simply by removing a glove and placing it against the back of one’s hand before replacing the glove, allowing only minimal exposure for just a second or two. While it does nothing to help with issues of hydration, it does solve the question of nutrition and caloric requirements, in a small ultra-lightweight, easily-applied, and safe manner.
Not recommended for children or to exceed twice the daily dosage, nor to be used beyond thirty days (Fifteen if using the double-dosage), it has its limitations. It can’t be used by species with hairy, scaly, or especially thick dermal layers, such as Wookiees, Noghri, or Hutts. Prolonged use or excessive use can create potentially serious, even life-threatening conditions requiring medical treatment, and certain psychological conditions can develop over the course of extended use.
