From a distance, it appears to be a relic of the past, with wooden buildings and dusty streets reminiscent of a bygone era. However, upon closer inspection, one can see the neon lights, holographic signs, and other futuristic embellishments that give the town its unique charm. Despite its outward appearance, Nu Los Feenix is a thriving hub of activity, where traders, smugglers, and adventurers from across the galaxy come to seek their fortunes in the unforgiving Mandalorian wasteland.

POINTS OF INTEREST
  • One of the most iconic landmarks in Nu Los Feenix is the "Glowing Mesa," a towering rock formation on the outskirts of town that emits a mysterious, otherworldly glow at night. Legend has it that the mesa is home to ancient Mandalorian spirits who watch over the town.
    • The Glowing Mesa is a natural rock formation located on the outskirts of Nu Los Feenix, rising majestically from the sands of the Mandalorian desert. Its exact coordinates are known only to a select few, as the mesa is shrouded in mystery and surrounded by treacherous terrain.

The Glowing Mesa is an imposing sight to behold, towering hundreds of meters into the sky with sheer cliffs and rugged peaks. What sets it apart, however, is the eerie luminescence that emanates from its surface, casting an ethereal glow that can be seen for miles around. The source of this phenomenon remains unknown, though some speculate that it is caused by rare minerals or ancient Mandalorian technology buried deep within the mesa.

The Glowing Mesa exudes an aura of both wonder and foreboding. To the inhabitants of Nu Los Feenix, it is a symbol of hope and protection, believed to be inhabited by ancient Mandalorian spirits who watch over the town and its people. At night, the mesa takes on an otherworldly beauty, its luminous glow casting long shadows across the desert sands.

According to local legend, the Glowing Mesa is said to be the resting place of the legendary Mandalorian warrior, Keldabe the Unyielding [It's not but they think it is, shhh]. It is said that Keldabe sacrificed himself [He didn't shhh] to save the town from destruction centuries ago, and that his spirit now dwells within the mesa, guarding it against any who would seek to harm Nu Los Feenix.

The Glowing Mesa holds great significance to the people of Nu Los Feenix, serving as a source of inspiration and reverence. Pilgrims from across the galaxy travel to pay homage to the mesa, leaving offerings of trinkets and prayers in the hopes of receiving its blessing. Despite its remote location and the dangers that surround it, the Glowing Mesa remains a beacon of hope in the harsh desert landscape, a testament to the resilience and spirit of those who call Nu Los Feenix home.
  • Honky Tonk Hank's and the Wet Willie are just the best if you ask the locals, Hank's Diner and Willie's Bar are right next to each other. They're right in the heart of Nu Los Feenix, Hank's Honky Tonk is just a stone's throw away from the Wet Willie bar.
    • The Honky Tonk: The diner exudes a rustic charm, with wooden booths, checkered tablecloths, and vintage jukeboxes playing classic country tunes. Memorabilia from the golden age of Americus music adorns the walls, including signed holopictures of legendary performers and old records.

Hank's serves up hearty, homestyle cooking with a southern Americus flair. Good ol' nuna-fried steak, biscuits and gravy, and pecan pie. Their signature dish is the "Hank's Special" – a mouthwatering plate of smoked brisket served with mashed potatoes, cornbread, and coleslaw. Of course, no diner would be complete without a selection of burgers, sandwiches, and milkshakes.

The atmosphere at Hank's is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who treat every customer like family. It's a place where locals gather to swap stories, share a laugh, and enjoy good food together. On weekends, live bands take the stage to entertain diners with toe-tapping country tunes, turning Hank's into a lively honky-tonk dance hall.

In homage to its Americus music roots, Hank's hosts a weekly "Open Mic Night," where aspiring musicians from all walks of life can take the stage to showcase their talents. It's a beloved tradition in Nu Los Feenix, drawing crowds of locals and travelers alike who come to enjoy the music and support the local talent.

    • Wet Willie: Situated on the main thoroughfare of Nu Los Feenix, Wet Willie's stands out with its flashing neon sign and swinging saloon doors, beckoning travelers and locals alike to step inside and leave their troubles at the door.

Wet Willie's captures the spirit of the Old Americus West with a futuristic twist. The interior is adorned with weathered wood paneling, antique whiskey barrels, and vintage lanterns, creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and out of this world. Holographic poker tables and dartboards add a touch of that ol' Age of Rebellion flair, while the air is thick with the scent of whiskey and cigar smoke.

Wet Willie's boasts an impressive selection of drinks, from the finest Corellian brandy to the strongest Tatooine ale. Their signature cocktail, the "Blazing Bantha," is a fiery concoction made with local spices and a splash of blue milk, guaranteed to warm even the chilliest desert night. For those with a hearty appetite, the bar serves up classic comfort foods like bantha burgers, spicy nerf nachos, and smoked Rancor ribs.

As the sun sets over the Mandalorian wasteland, Wet Willie's comes alive with the sounds of raucous laughter, clinking glasses, and the twang of a cantina band. Patrons mingle at the bar, swapping stories of their latest adventures or challenging each other to a game of sabacc. The bartenders, clad in cowboy hats and bandanas, keep the drinks flowing as they regale customers with tales of the town's storied past.

Wet Willie's is famous for its weekly "Karaoke Night," where patrons can take the stage to belt out their favorite tunes in front of an enthusiastic crowd. From Huttese opera to Jawa jive, there's something for everyone at Wet Willie's, making it a beloved gathering spot for locals and travelers alike.
  • Now the Americus' have a few towns and to get around they built themselves a fancy train, and down in Nu Los Feenix they've got "Starlight Junction."

SECURITY
[ Provide a Security Rating (choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum) and any specific security assets in list format. What defenses does this location have, including internal and perimeter defenses? Please note that the rating is relative to the type of location this is. Normal civilian locations have a different scope in security, compared to military locations. As such a primarily civilian location with a Maximum security rating is not on the same level as a military base with a Maximum rating. Consider the 'Stability' and 'Freedom and Oppression' fields when working on this section, and make sure these reflect each other in your final submission. Please link rare or uncommon tech/equipment to the SW wiki article or Factory-approved submission. Common canon items do not need to be linked. ]

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description on the city's history here. Detail how it came to be created and why. Talk about the people involved in this city's history and expansion; and what role it played and still plays. For historical cities, if you so desire, you can include events from the Chaos Canon timeline or board history where appropriate. ]
