- Appearance: Kalin is a middle aged Zilkin of diminutive stature and green skin. He goes about inside a replica droid body, appearing as an Echani male of middle years named Temu Jin. Temu Jin's identity is concealed as the former pirate and now mostly legitimate rogue trader Boss Kalinka.
The Boss is known to change his appearance with holodisguises and can appear in any form he pleases. He is most often seen in his disguised Echani form aboard his trading station and often rides battle droids of various shapes and sizes from among his extensive collection.

Kalin was raised on the Zilkin homeworld and served in the local military as a logistics office, always feeling disdain for his size. Eventually he found that credits spoke loud in the galaxy, and began a life of crime until he was finally kicked out of the forces. By this stage of his life he was a skilled conman and thief, an embezzler and a loanshark.
By then he'd made enough to purchase and refit a replica droid to hide his Zilkin identity. Kalin stole a man's identity after a business deal went awry and had the droid equipped with physical and holographic augmentations to appear as the dead man, or anyone else he pleaed. The dead man was an exiled second son of a minor Alulan noble house, known for his criminal activities.
As Temu Jin, Kalin moved to buy a small starship and hire a crew. He reveled in his new role, naming himself Boss Kalinka, always appearing to be a echani male from Alula. As Boss Kalinka, he is hiding the identity of Temu Jin of Alula, hiding the droid, hiding Kalin the Zilkin exile who has only one true friend in the galaxy. He began to utilize ever more advanced holographic and droid disguises to conceal his true identity from everyone he worked with, and he began to amass true wealth and power.
His life changed profusely during the opening stages of the Siege of Alula, when his private shuttle was shot down over the capital city. He was personally rescued by Arla Susni, and while he was healed and recovered, the two shared a bond. Arla did not demean him or condescend him, despite not knowing he was actually a wealthy and powerful boss and not a tiny slug man. Having built trust, Kalin shared his life with Arla. She had known the original Temu Jin and had known he was a scoundrel, and swore to keep Kalin, or rather Boss Kalinka's secret.
He began to work as more of a trader and less of a pirate. He worked to help others, repaying the trust Commander Susni had showed in him. And he made more credits in legitimate business than he ever had stealing and swindling. When Arla was exiled from Alula, he joined her New Star League Remnants, out of loyalty as much as the desire to atone for his younger and more reprobate days.
Most know of Boss Kalinka. Very few indeed know that his true name is Temu Jin. Fewer still dare to whisper of their suspicions that Temu Jin is some sort of droid. Only one knows that there is a little green man inside the droid, and she will never divulge that secret. The man inside the droid inside the false identity lives a solitary life, apart from his one friend. Where once he sought to accumulate wealth and power, having done so and found it lacking, he now seeks to use the wealth and power to help others, under the guidance and direction of the one individual in the galaxy he has ever trusted.
